How the hell do i read prophet? I finished reading 1-4 (Remission-Joining). Then i found out about the ca. 45 issues before, and now earth war. Do i have to reed everything from the start?

There’s 20 issues before Remission but those are not reallllly the same story. that stuff all happens 10 thousand years before. Some of the ancient characters from the Prophet I work on started in that stuff and there’s nods to a lot of it throughout but you don’t have to read it.

Earth war is vol 5 of the Prophet series I’m on.

Hi Brandon, Piggybacking on that 8House question from earlier... so is everything gonna get its own series? Yorris, Kiem and Arclight? Or will they continue as is, under the 8house banner? Super bummed to hear the sales were low.

Everything will finish. some like Arclight will just be a few more issues. I understand it was all a little confusing having a series of linked books as a monthly. 

Arclight (4 issues and then a trade)

Yorris(at least 3 more issues I think after Fil gets Zooniverse ready for Island)

(Kiem) fatter issues 60+ pages that Xurxo is working on now.

There was some talk about me and Marian doing a side Arclight story as an ongoing but I’m not sure right now. 

You recently mentioned Dave Sims' Cerebus ? Can you point out what specifically you recommend? My immense respect for you and your tastes tells me I should read Cerebus, but I'm not very familiar.

Sim did some really amazing comics in the past and has always been a fantastic cartoonist and writer. (his lettering is also amazing) but his more recent views on “

The Male Light and the Female Void
“  make it harder to back him. 

 the modern Sim’s views and work seem so different to me than my idea of him in the 80′s. 

If you feel like digging in, I think Cerebus gets really good with Church and State and for me peaks around 

Jaka’s Story or 

Melmoth.
