Hi Kelley - First thank you for all of your amazing books...your books have turned me from a TV girl into a passionate reader! I LOVE all the characters of The Otherworld but my favorites are Karl & Hope followed by Nick & Nessa and Savannah & Adam. Any eb

There’s a Hope & Karl novella coming in the next Otherworld anthology (Otherworld Secrets) Karl tries to retire. It doesn’t go so well :)

Nick and Vanessa are in Forsaken and play a bigger role in the next Subterranean Press Pack novella.

No more Savannah & Adam right now (they got the new novella in Otherworld Nights)

And for now, Atoning is my Chloe/Derek/Maya/Daniel story for the next little while.

So many characters, so little time :)

deweydell25:nubbsgalore:for ten years now, leonid tishkov has...

deweydell25:

nubbsgalore:

for ten years now, leonid tishkov has traveled the world with his moon. here we see him in arctic svalbard magdalene fjord (1,5,7), new zealand, near rangitito (second and fourth photo, taken by marcus williams), the tian shang observatory near the border between china and kyrgyzstan (third photo, by po-i chen) and moscow (sixth and eighth photos taken by boris bendikov)

"the moon is a shining point that brings people together from different countries, of different nationalities and cultures - and everyone who gets in its orbit does not forget it ever. it gives fairytale and poetry in our prosy and mercantile world," leonid writes. "the moon helps us to overcome our loneliness in the universe by uniting us around it."

leonid adds, “the ancient ural peoples who lived in my home told a fairy tale about how a shaman goes into the next world, illuminating the path of the moon. so in all of my photos, i can be seen in my late father’s cloak, because he travels with me in this way.”

Have moon , will travel.

CJ Omololu, Melissa Marr, Kelley Armstrong & Kimberly Derting
Saturday February 28th at 7.00 pm
Keplers Books in Menlo Park, CA

A Celebration of CJ Omololu’s THE THIRD TWIN

Please join us as we host a very special celebration for CJ Omololu and her new book, THE THIRD TWIN. Identical twins. Identical DNA. Identical suspects. It’s Pretty Little Liars meets Revenge in this edge-of-your-seat thriller with a shocking twist.

This event means the world to us. CJ is a local author whom we have hosted many times. We love her and we love her books. And as many of you know, she is battling stage 4 cancer. Her friends in the YA community are coming to help spread the word about her new book so join us in celebrating Cynthia and her new novel.

These fabulous authors will be talking about YA thrillers: Melissa Marr will talk about her newest book, MADE FOR YOU, Kelley Armstrong will discuss OMENS and Kimberly Derting will talk about THE TAKING. And all will be focussing on Cynthia and THE THIRD TWIN.

All these authors encourage you to buy a copy of THE THIRD TWIN when you come.

Be part of this community. Buy a book. Join us to celebrate. Bring a friend. Spread the word. Post a review. Be vocal. Show the love.

I was wondering did Jamie's glow grow after she learned she could raise the dead with out equipment/tools or was the power always there?

That power was always there. It was a matter of trusting herself and her abilities. Once she started doing it without the tools, her power would strengthen and the glow increase somewhat, but it wouldn’t be immediate.

Would you ever think about making your novels into movies?

That’s something that others need to do for me. The only “role” I play in the process is deciding whether to sell the rights. I have for my past series—Otherworld, Darkest Powers, Darkness Rising. For the current ones, I’m holding onto those rights for now.

I am in loooove with Gabriel Lucas and I was hoping we might be seeing a bit more of him and his thoughts/feelings on things & people. Is that going to happen in book 3? Oh, and I loved little! Gabriel too!

Yes, you’ll continue to get Gabriel chapters throughout the series. A lot of the secondary characters get point-of-view chapters, but he gets the most, as the second-lead character.

He also has more short fiction coming out. It’s tough to write “prequel’ stories for Olivia, because she was in a very different place—no Cainsville, no investigating, no powers. Gabriel is easier—he had Cainsville, knew something of the supernatural via his aunt’s second sight, and being a lawyer lets me have him investigate cases pre-Omens.

Deceptions (Cainsville 3) Cover & Contest

Here’s the Canadian cover for Deceptions! For those who’ve read the books, you’ll know the significance of the little girl, who plays a larger role in this installment. And that significance will be the subject of a special contest question…

Usually, with a cover reveal, I give away a spot on the ARC list. Today, I’ll do one better than that. The winner won’t have to wait until spring for an ARC. I’ll print and coil-bind a copy of the manuscript, sign it and sent it off. A one-of-a-kind prize,..and the chance to read Cainsville 3 long before the August publication date.

To enter: e-mail contest@kelleyarmstrong.com and answer the following question: “The little girl appears in Olivia’s dreams in Omens. Where does she appear in Visions? Tell me in 25 words or less (I just need something like “She appears in the scene where Olivia….”)

Deadline: midnight Eastern Friday, January 16

Questions/concerns about the contest? I now have an FAQ for that! You’ll find it here.
