77 Calls for Submissions in September 2025 - Paying Markets - Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity

I need a nap now.Panzer made a stop at the Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity site. There our famous kitty pilot found a list of 77 publications accepting submissions in September. Erica Verrillo's list includes markets for fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in all genres, as well as videos, and photography.  Panzer says, "Be sure to read the guidelines as some have a September 1 submission deadline." Note: With 77 calls for submissions this is a very long, long post. 41 Writing Contests in September 2025 - No entry fees - Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity

Contests for lots of genres.Today, Panzer made a stop at the Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity site where he found a list of writing contests in September.
Erica Verrillo's list has both fiction and nonfiction contests. As always with her monthly list she only includes "no entry fee" contests. Panzer says, "You'll need to hurry with your entries as some of the contests have a September 1 submission deadline."  Note: This is a long post. Tentative Settlement in Anthropic Copyright Lawsuit - Publishers Weekly

Let's see what happens with the other lawsuits.On his way home Panzer decided to make a stop at the Publishers Weekly site. There with just a little digging in the posts our inquisitive kitty boy found a one about Anthropic. If you've been around here for a while, you know Panzer has been following the Anthropic lawsuit. According to Jim Milliot's post, both sides of the lawsuit are working on a settlement agreement. The post includes links to other information about the copyright lawsuit. Panzer says, "This is an interesting case." Note: This is a long-medium length post.
