Lizol Introduces Cement Floor Cleaners

Lizol officials launching Lizol Cement Surface Cleaners @ Hyatt Regency, Chennai on Jan. 9 2020.
One big issue with people whose homes contain cement flooring throughout or at some places like a portico, staircase, terrace, etc. is the lack of a good cleaning agent specifically designed to be used with cement surfaces.
Cement surfaces are known to form white patches on exposure to carbon-di-oxide and it’s difficult to clean them. People might use detergent and phenyl but these are not generally very effective.
Lizol, a well-known brand in the cleaning liquid market, has just introduced Lizol Cement Surface Cleaner & Disinfectant in four Indian states where they anticipate the demand to be high – TamilNadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and West Bengal.
We went to attend their press meet yesterday and their officials say that this new Lizol Cement Floor cleaner can remove 99% of germs and seep into the cement surface to remove white stains.
This product is available in two variants – 100 ml (Rs. 25) and 400 ml (Rs. 74). Since there is no branded alternative focused on cement floors, and since a low-cost trial pack is available, they say that even low-income groups would find it easy to buy and test it out.
This product is available in two flavours. You can find more information about this Lizol product and a full demo from yesterday’s event here.
So when you want to clean a cement floor in the future, you know what to buy – the Lizol Cement Surface Cleaner

Here is a short one-minute video with a few pics I took during this year’s exhibition (2020),
This year’s trade fair is similar to last year’s exhibition. A few stalls and shows were changed. Besides, when we went (Jan. 2) a few stalls were yet to be opened. The majority of the stalls were open though.
We went early – by 3 P.M. so the giant wheel and other rides had not yet started operating. They said it starts by 5 or 6 P.M. but we couldn’t wait to confirm.
We had a look around the stalls. We liked the 10 rupee/20 rupee/30 rupee thrift shop concept. There were 2-3 shops like this and whatever products you take from there will cost you only 10/20/30 rupees. There were many products to choose from. These interesting wallets we bought there –

Last year we went to 2.0 Movie store/show. But this year it wasn’t there, so we went to the Fun Mirror House. Here is a pic from there,

There were also some stalls where you can pay and play games to win some little prizes – if you win. We played a ball game for 30 rupees but lost the entire investment

Yengal Thalaivi – Greta Thunberg
I am a Sustainable Living enthusiast, but I have taken very little action to become a Sustainable Living practitioner. There is a big difference between aspiring to do something and actually taking concrete steps towards doing that thing. Action is more important than words or intentions.
This was reiterated to me by my new Guru – Sweedish Teenager named Greta Thunberg. (Read the linked Wikipedia introduction about her to know about what she has been doing.)
It’s heart-warming to see someone so young being so passionate about climate change. So passionate that she started protesting in front of the Sweedish Parliament and inspired many students from many countries to do the same.
She has addressed the UN Assembly, given a TED talk, and has been mocked by world leaders including Putin, Donald Trump, Australian PM Scott Morrison, etc. It’s these criticisms that validate her agenda more than anything else.
While I agree that reducing our carbon emissions, adopting renewable energy, etc. are all important steps to combat climate change, I feel we are still not targeting the root cause that led to this situation in the first place.
Which is?
Insatiable Human Greed. (Including mine, I should accept.)
The more I think about it, the more helpless I feel. That’s why I feel Greta Thunberg is a great inspiration for all of us.
Watch the below video where she gives a no-nonsense speech about our short-sighted attitude,

Photobook :)
As I am learning animated video creation, I get a lot of opportunities to indulge in making creative videos with our own photos and then share it (put scene) on social media. This is one more such –
It’s a Photobook with page turn animation!!
Although this is a virtual photo book, this style is popular with people wanting to share their memories on social media.
Of course, a virtual photobook video allows me to be even more creative with my ideas. So, I have an animated front cover with the first letter of our names being revealed in handwriting style. I have also included a growing leaf animation.
I have used the zoom effect for photos on the first page, and an animated photo frame on the second page. The page turn on the first page is a 3D effect, but the one on the second page is a 2D effect. I feel both look nice in their own ways.
Did you like it?

Survey: Which Logo Animation Style Do You Like?
I have created three text-based logo animation styles, for my own logo, as shown in the above video. I request you to mention the logo animation style (1, 2 or 3) that you liked the most – in the comments section below.
This is a survey to identify which style resonates the most with varied audiences. I am simultaneously requesting this feedback on my social networks and blogs.
Once I am done with the survey, mostly in a week or so, I’ll edit this post to reflect the total votes received for each style across all channels. Please participate.

We went to the Peppa Pig Live Musical show held today at Sir Mutha Venkata Subbarao Concert Hall, Harrington Road, Chennai. The above selfie that we took with Peppa Pig was worth all the Chennai Rains we braved to get to and return from the venue. Ain’t that pig cute?

How are ppl handling cold weather at colder places?
Chennai, India, where I live is supposed to be a warm HOT place and it’s just November now. I already feel so cold that I’ve been through a session of fever & cold in recent days.
I prefer not to switch on the fan even during the afternoon, except when I am working on my laptop. I feel so sluggish that I don’t feel like going to the regular daily walking sessions around our home.
You may not believe it but sometimes I prefer to drink hot water nowadays. I have been wearing a monkey cap over the last month or so when I sleep – to cover my ears!
What I am wondering is, how do people handle cold weather at places that are actually cold? (Which should be everywhere else except Chennai!)
Or maybe since I am used to the hot Chennai weather, I am finding the 20/30 C temperatures colder due to the relative effect of being exposed to 35/45 C during other times??
