I Told My Dog to GET UP!

“I tell her 10 million times to get up and she gets right back down,” I muttered aloud frustratedly after telling special needs ministry dog Gracie over and again to get up from the dog bed.

She had started off obeying me initially but then gone back to what she wanted to do instead.

Reminds me of how sometimes we start off obeying the Lord Jesus Christ but then go back to doing what we want to do instead.

Friend, we need to obey God and KEEP OBEYING GOD!

This Is NOT Okay

If God tells us in the Bible something is wrong, it is NOT okay. No matter what the world, the government, politicians, media, friends, family, movies, our flesh, teachers, books, computer apps, Facebook, anyone or anything says about it, no matter what we feel or think about it, no matter who else is doing it, if it is WRONG in God’s eyes, it is SIN we need to get rid of.

Seems this world is hurting and suffering more than ever. No wonder given countless people have their backs turned to God as they break His greatest commands to love Him with all their hearts and love one another.

Keep Being Nice

I tried being nice to a woman who most of the time was mean to me for no reason only to find she kept being mostly mean. The world teaches us we don’t have to be nice to people who aren’t nice, that the best way to overcome evil is with evil, and that we should respond to others’ sin with our own sin.

Followers of the Lord Jesus Christ are to live according to God’s Word (the Bible) not the world.

I needed to love her, forgive her, and keep being nice.

Please don’t follow the world. Follow Jesus...

Paralyzed Dog Goes High Speed

“You seem to be very fast when you want something,” I told paralyzed ministry dog Miss Mercy who despite given her age and history having slowed down greatly on her wheelchair walks was scooting-dragging her body on the hotel room at high speed to get to her food.

Reminds me of how some of us are with God – slow to obey Him when we don’t want to do something and super quick to go to God to ask for something we want and/or to receive a blessing He is giving us.

Should be our speed concerning God ...

I was super irritated when I saw a man doing something that really bothered me that he had been told several times by someone in authority not to do that was inconsiderate of others and could create some trouble ultimately if others followed his example.

Dogs Are NOT Prejudiced

Yellow Lord-only-knows-what-breed-mix paralyzed ministry dog Miss Mercy and black Labrador mix special needs ministry dog Gracie were lovingly, joyfully playing with one another. Dogs are NOT prejudiced. They do not hate, judge, condemn, reject, abandon, ridicule, persecute, etc. one another based on their color, breed, background, etc. Seems they simply see their fellow dogs as dogs to love, spend time with, play with, help, and enjoy no matter their colors, breeds, backgrounds, etc.

One day I heard a loud crash on the pavement when getting paralyzed ministry dog Miss Mercy’s wheelchair out of the back of the car to take her and ministry dog Gracie to the beach.
