This Is MY Ministry

Years ago as I recall someone tried to emphatically point out to me that my ministry was not MY ministry. All these years later something someone communicated to me reminded me of the person’s words long ago – and what God has taught me about all this.

There is NOTHING special about me. There is NOTHING special about MY ministry. But it is MY ministry. How exactly so?

The Answer Is NO

Along came another enormous wave of desperately desiring getting something I really wanted to get. I could feel a huge excitement and imagine how incredibly satisfied I would feel once I got what I wanted. Then the Holy Spirit stepped in.

I cannot even fathom how much we miss and how much we mess up and how we may harm others and most importantly how much we hurt the heart of God when we do not wait for Him to lead us forward in life. When we act like little lords over our own little lives and proceed through our lives without surrendering ourselves to the Lord Jesus Christ and letting Him lead the way.

Come Spend Time with Me

Ever feel like someone you love just isn’t making the effort to spend time with you? Feel a little hurt? A lot hurt even? Rejected? Wondering if the person really loves you? God Help Everyone!

“God help everyone!” I prayed in my exasperation.

As the world’s woes worsen due to countless people living in rebellion against the Lord Jesus Christ, as hard stuff and suffering appear to be  at an all-time high, seems there are endless opportunities to pray for people and about situations.

To the point it can seem totally overwhelming and impossible to keep up with all the prayer needs.

But a quick exasperated prayer of course is NOT the answer.

What then is?

Your Spouse May Not See

Your spouse may not see what you are doing behind your spouse’s back. Your spouse may not know. Your spouse may have no way of finding out. Your secret may be safe. You may continue to enjoy what you are doing. But God sees. God knows. God cares. And you will ultimately face the consequences of your sin against God and against your spouse.

Friend, please stop. Please cry out to the Lord Jesus Christ. Please turn from your sin to Him. Believe He is Lord and that He died to pay your sin punishment...

God Can Use You Even IF –

Right after I wrote and shared a message on how God can use us enormously when we are totally devoted to Him, this truth came to mind. God absolutely can if He so desires use us EVEN if we are NOT totally devoted to Him. God can do anything He desires. But there is a really big difference.

The more surrendered we are to the Lord Jesus Christ, the more we are yielded to the Holy Spirit of God, the more we will experience the awesomeness and amazingness of God working in and through us.
