Beautiful Day, Beautiful God

“Focus on me, dear one,” the Holy Spirit of God spoke to my heart as I finished up a little walk with Him.

Immediately these words came to me as I turned my head slightly upward and regarded the morning sky.

Frankly, I had been so caught up in my feelings about a very challenging matter that I had not really noticed the beautiful day nor genuinely rejoiced over God and His unfathomable beauty.

Humiliation or Humility?

Decades ago before I was a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ I told a woman who was mentoring me how humiliated I had been when I was in an emergency room for a life-threatening eating disorder.
