365 BLESSINGS: Blessing #12
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;” 1 Peter 3:15
I have never had more hope in my heart than I do now. If the truth be known, I was once for years on end totally hopeless. I didn’t have hope, and there was really no hope for me. I was that broken. Now my hope is rich, vibrant, beautiful, and ever growing. For the more I seek and pursue and chase after God and Hi...
365 BLESSINGS: Blessing #11
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6-7
What a blessing for those of us who are prone to worry, fear, and anxiety! The Lord tells us to pray to Him! We don’t have to just get lost and buried in our anxiety. We have a way out. We can pray the worry out to the Lord! And isn’t that so...

The Prayer Project
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21
“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” Mt. 5:44
So I have a question for you. What if every time you felt hurt by someone, offended by someone, rejected by someone, abandoned by someone, abused by someone, were mistreated, lashed out at, treated terribly, etc., you saw an opportunity for a Prayer Project?...

That said, many of you know I use an old-school bookkeeping system and without the most modern techno...

An Act of Worship
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” Col. 3:23-24
Know what the Spirit of Christ said to me one day?
“Don’t do this as a chore or obligation. Do it in love,” He told me. That was not all. He then said, “As an act of worship, yes.”
Why would He tell me this? Why am I telling you? Sometimes God tells me to do something I don’t want to do. I just don’t feel l...
This is My Sacrifice
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service [worship according to some translations!]. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
Some people make unfathomably big sacrifices for Jesus. Some people sacrifice their very lives. Some do thin...
Enjoying God’s Will
The last thing I ever expected is that I would one day truly enjoy doing God’s will. I always thought of God’s will as uncomfortable, hard, not enjoyable, contrary to my desires, involving sacrifice, risk, and challenges, boring, unpopular, and lots more undesirable. Could God’s will ever be truly rewarding, genuinely fulfilling, and outright enjoyable? Now I know the answer. Yes!
Truth is God’s will can absolutely be hard, challenging, boring, unpopular, sacrificial, etc. It most assuredly c...
365 BLESSINGS: Blessing #10
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2
There are precious promises from God almighty in these verses, aren’t there? FAITH. PEACE. GRACE. REJOICING. HOPE. GLORY. Wow. We are declared innocent from our sins and are spared God’s wrath and the punishment of death, hell, and the lake of fire when we place our...
365 Blessings: Blessing #9
“Your testimonies are wonderful;
Therefore my soul keeps them.
The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.
I opened my mouth and panted,
For I longed for Your commandments.
Look upon me and be merciful to me,
As Your custom is toward those who love Your name.
Direct my steps by Your word,
And let no iniquity have dominion over me.
Redeem me from the oppression of man,
That I may keep Your precepts.
Make Your face shine upon Your servant,
And teach me Your sta...
