Help Me to Love You

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable* to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:8-10

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable* to God, which is your reasonable service [some translations use the word “worship” here]. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transf...

365 BLESSINGS: Blessing #5

“giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:12-14

Out of the kingdom of the darkness of sin which results in the curse of death, hell, and the lake of fire forever apart from God and into the KINGDOM OF GOD filled with HIS LOVE, HIS LIGHT,...

365 BLESSINGS: Blessing #3

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

There is no greater love in the universe than God’s love for the world He created, no greater expression of His love for us than that He sent His only Son Jesus to the cross to take the punishment for our sins we deserve on Himself and to be raised from the dead, and no greater gift throughout time than God forgiving us and giving us everlasting...

When in Doubt

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

I knew the feeling. All too well. On the verge of feeling overwhelmed. Too much to do. Not enough time. Needing to go somewhere I didn’t feel like going that day anyway. Not enough sleep. Should have gotten more. Not sure which direction to go. Boom. I knew what to do. Down on my knees. I didn’t even pray for God’s will....

Facing the Impossible

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phil. 4:13

“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”” Mt. 19:26

As I sit here writing this devotional considering that I’ve been on the road nearly 2 years doing streets ministry & writing and publishing Gospel tracts and devotionals with 5 special needs ministry doggies in my care with a car with about 250,000 miles on it, a bare-bones ministry budget, a super econo...

Don’t Keep It Secret

“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful...

My Walmart Fight

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” Col. 1:15-18

365 BLESSINGS – Blessing #2

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:3-6

Paralyzed Doggy’s Discovery

“Oh, that my ways were directed
To keep Your statutes!” Psalm 119:5

Being on the road full-time for nearly two years with 5 special needs doggies along for the ride comes with its challenges – and blessings. Like lessons learned – convicting ones included – from being up close and personal with my sweet furry friends in close quarters lots of the time. Take, for example, paralyzed dog Miss Mercy’s discovery of something with which I can honestly relate. Perhaps you can too.

“When you want som...
