No Fooling God
There is no fooling God when it comes to being TOTALLY DEVOTED to Him. We can try to convince ourselves we’re truly committed to Jesus Christ as Lord. We can try to convince people at church we’re genuinely dedicated to God. We can try to convince our co-workers, friends, family, teammates, classmates, neighbors, Bible study buddies, Sunday school teachers, pastors, employers, homeless shelter roommates, prison cellmates, anyone at all that we’re living for the Lord. But if we’re not TOTALLY DEV...

Heroes: 4 Key Ingredients
People sometimes refer to the 11th chapter of the book of Hebrews in the Bible as the “heroes of faith” chapter. The Lord shows us in this chapter person after person who had an amazing faith in Him and an accompanying phenomenal life as this faith was manifested. If you read this wonderfully inspiring chapter, and if you read the Bible continually as I believe we all should do and look at the Bible as a whole, I believe there are 4 key main ingredients – or characteristics – to God’s “heroes.” ...
Hated for Christ
Be prepared. If it hasn’t already happened to you, be warned that it will. According to the Lord. If you are totally devoted to the Lord, and by the Holy Spirit have the boldness and courage to share the Good News of the Kingdom of Heaven as the Lord leads you with others, you will face hatred, rejection, and persecution. Some experience it to such an exceeding degree that what you and I may experience is nothing in comparison. Some will get their heads chopped off.
Some will be tortured indescr...

God’s Glory Not Ours
The Lord tells us to use the gifts He gives us to serve one another, and He brings to light in His Word as you will find in the verses below that we are to minister to [serve] one another with THE ABILITY HE GIVES US. Why does He do it this way? So that THE GLORY GOES TO GOD. Not to us!
Please be careful to humble yourself before God and to give Him the honor, glory, and praise when you love and serve others. This world teaches us to pridefully puff ourselves up and pat ourselves on the back and...
Conformed
The Lord tells us in the Bible not to be conformed to this world. He tells us not to be conformed to our “former lusts.” Instead, we are to be conformed to Him! Dictionary.com includes in its definition of “conform” this: “to be or become similar in form, nature, or character.” We are not “to be or become similar in form, nature, or character” to the world and its wicked ways.
Instead, we are to be conformed to the Lord Jesus Christ! We are to grow in the image of Christ! How? Please see the ver...
Joy Despite Trials
You will find something in the verses below that to me is utterly astonishing. JOY! What’s so amazing about JOY? The Lord shows us in these verses that we can REJOICE and find JOY right when we’re going through great trials. He lets us know He tests our faith during trials so the ultimate fruit borne through the trials is that we PRAISE, HONOR, and GLORIFY the Lord. But this isn’t all we can bear through trials. We can produce JOY! How can this be possible? Here is how as you will see in the ver...

Feeling All Alone
For decades, I felt lonely and all alone. I was miserable. I had many people in my life. But still I felt that way. No more! I have been on the road for Jesus for several years now and have no social and entertainment life as I devote myself to the Lord and ministry 24-7. To top it off, I face regular rejection by numerous people many of whom are Christians because of my total devotion to the Lord, my refusal to compromise the truth of what His Bible teaches us, and my willingness to forsake all...
Holy Spirit Hydration
Jesus told the woman at the well she would never thirst again if she had His “living water.” Friend, it is terribly dangerous to become dehydrated. Our bodies and minds become unable to work and live properly, and ultimately we can die. I am afraid many who call themselves Christians know little and sometimes even nothing about the Holy Spirit and are dangerously dehydrated. So their hearts, minds, bodies, and lives aren’t working the way the Lord intended them to work as His followers.
I visite...
Preacher Headed for Hell
I listened to a preacher a bunch of times who one day confessed a wild truth about his past. He had apparently preached in a church for quite some time all the while headed straight for eternity in hell and the lake of fire. Impossible, right? Wrong!
Just as he explained, he had not been born again. He had not repented and believed in Jesus Christ as Lord and in His death and resurrection and entrusted his life to Him. Eventually, he did so. When I heard him preach, he had by that time been born...
Clean Hands, Pure Heart
One day I stumbled upon a Psalm in the Bible which reminded me of some verses in the book of James because of the reference made in both sets of verses to “clean hands” and “pure hearts”. In Psalm 24, the psalmist tells us how the Lord desires our hands to be clean and our hearts to be pure. In James, we are told to “cleanse” our hands and to “purify” our hearts. Why the reference to our hands and hearts?
I believe the Lord is speaking to us concerning our thoughts, feelings, and actions. Specif...
