Lara’s Latest Update

Just weeks after being in the car for 12 hours on a single day driving from New Hampshire on the border of Maine back to Virginia, I am taking off on a very long drive estimated at about 10 hours or so headed for South Carolina before likely headed south of there. I’ve been on the road now for Jesus & ministry for 4.5 years with my special needs ministry dogs and am more excited than ever about loving and serving the Lord with all my heart.

I have been seeking the Lord to an exceeding degree as ...

A Hard Truth About Love

If you profess to love God and hate someone, you are a liar. Please don’t be mad at me for telling you this. I am simply telling you the truth. It’s a hard truth, isn’t it? It is for me anyway. How do I know it’s true? Read what God says in His Word:

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.” 1...

Unfathomable Love

God’s love for His children is truly beyond anything we can fathom. Yes, His love for us is unfathomable. His love is reflected in countless ways, in the biggest of ways to the smallest of ways. But it is all the same. It is His. His love for us.

I wonder how often we stop in the midst of the busyness of our lives to meditate on God and His love for us. How often do we stop what we are doing and give God praise for His love for us? How often do we rejoice in His love for us? How often do we reco...

If You’ve Been Badly Hurt

For those of us who have been badly hurt, we may not know how to love and be loved, we may be afraid to love and be loved because we don’t want to take the risk of being hurt again, or we may be too hurt, bitter, and broken to love and be loved. Whether for these reasons or any other, we may if we’re honest with ourselves realize we’re simply and sadly rooted and grounded in hurt, hatred, sorrow, depression, resentment, grief, anxiety, etc. But the Lord created us to be “rooted and grounded in l...

A Warning About LOVE

“The enemy [the devil] is trying to get you not to love,” the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart simply and powerfully.

It makes so much sense, doesn’t it? God’s greatest commands are to love Him with all our hearts and to love others as ourselves. The devil wants us to break God’s commands. The devil wants us to hurt God by not loving Him and to hurt others by not loving them. The devil wants Jesus’ followers to fail in loving so people will not see Jesus in and through us and not be drawn to the Lo...

Beautiful Sunshine on My Face!

I was sitting at my computer in my latest hotel room on the road for Jesus when suddenly the sunshine shone unbelievably brightly through the window and landed and remained directly on the left side of my face. I turned toward it for a moment and relished and rejoiced in something I love so much. Sunshine. Warmth. Light. Brightness. I felt so thankful to God. For decades I took my blessings for granted both in the years I didn’t believe in God and in the years I believed in Him but was too caugh...

My Green Striped Socks Story

One morning I put on my lime green and white striped socks a friend had given me long ago only to experience a flicker of terrible sadness. See, instead of wearing the socks myself, I had lovingly put them on my paralyzed dog Mr. Simeon’s beautiful long legs when we were located in New York City in the winter on my latest location being on the road for Jesus. He was prone to being cold, and I would bundle him up in two winter coats, my scarf wrapped numerous times around his head, and those gree...

My Orange Juice Testimony

I’m not a big orange juice drinker, but one day I found myself really craving it. Unfortunately the store I was in had big containers that would not have fit well in my little hotel fridge along with my other food. And I had a concern about the smaller container not to mention the expensive price for so little juice.

Less than 24 hours later, I was standing in the hotel staff office waiting for the assistant manager when I saw small bottles of orange juice. Turns out they were part of the hotel’...

lara love’s Latest Update

Dear Friend,

Thanks for your patience with my not sending out my usual almost Good News Daily for some time now as I continue my life on the road for Jesus. I do look very forward to getting back to my writing but appreciate your continued patience as I enter into this next chapter of my life and ministry.

Over the past few months, I left the New York City area for New Hampshire and Maine and then left New England to return to Virginia for a short while before I head southbound for South Carolin...
