Sometimes the Silly Putty Doesn’t Work
From StephanieFishman.com:
All of my writing buddies and most authors that I've talked with have a "thing." Sometimes it's music. Other times it's a certain type of drink that they have next to them in order to write. {HELLO COFFEE} For me, it's Silly Putty.

I just finished up Finding Eliza (which is now available on Kindle... paperbacks coming later this week!) It was time to start something else. I've been playing with the ideas behind two flash fiction pieces...

Memorial Day Is Not About Summer
From StephanieFishman.com:

Flash Fiction Friday: Harrison Teal
From StephanieFishman.com:
“Just throw it in the bag. I’ll sort it out when I get there.” Harrison Teal reached into the back of the false-bottom drawer and began throwing bricks of cash tied with currency wrappers over to his partner, each landing softly on the cheap bedspread of the safe house’s only bed. Reaching the bottom of the stack, he pulled the drawer out of the bureau and let the remaining bundles fall at his feet before trading in the empty box for another.

#AtoZChallenge: Quiet Times in Finding Eliza
From StephanieFishman.com:
In life, we all have days when we would like to climb into the past. How do you handle the longing that you feel to see loved ones that have passed? In Finding Eliza, my main character Lizzie retreats to a few special places. One of her favorites is the local park. All around Lizzie are the reminders of good memories. From the hill where she picnicked with her parents to the flowers that her mother tended as a volunteer, they remind her of the parents that are no lon...

#AtoZChallenge: Writing Friends and Otter Blessings
From StephanieFishman.com:
Every book is a work of art, but it's also the dust of a raging battle. Demons like doubt, fear, and anxiety plague a work. Get a weapon. In my case, the people who helped me fight those battles were my writing friends.
