iPainting Bear Hug

This was from a photo of a bear hugging another bear. What is amazing to me is that, all of God’s creatures, reflect Him in some way. Even in the relationships they share with each other, you can see that God did not mean for us to be alone. We all are in need of His Light and Love.

iPainting Otters At The Bank

By the title you’ve guessed that I mean the river bank, after all what other kind of bank would otters be at? Still, it’s interesting that one word can mean so many different things. It can also trigger other things, mentioning the river bank can activate our memory bank.
We can remember an event that happened near the water, or involved some event we were apart of. An image, a phrase, an action can transport us mentally across the world. Wherever this image takes you, I pray it brings a smile.

The View From Inside

Have you ever thought about the view from inside a lighthouse? At first glance, you may say it’s the same as on a boat, but it’s not. There are several advantages the lighthouse keeper has.
For one, they are looking out a window from dry land. It may be an island in the middle of the sea, but it’s more secure than a boat in the middle of the sea. Next, they are looking out from a consistent environment. The weather may change, but they don’t have to fear the storm in the same way a sailor does.
The ones inside are looking from a place of rest. They came from a bed, not affected by the waves underneath it, because of a foundation that doesn’t move. Finally the lighthouse sits higher than the ship on the sea, it’s a place of elevation.
When someone asks me, what advantages are there to being a Christian in a world of chaos for all, I have an answer. I’d rather be in a place of light, consistency, and that has a foundation. One that not only has a Heavenly perspective, but is waiting to go higher than the bounds of this world. To me, the view from inside, is the only safe way to view the world today!

Sketch Waiting Room Conversations

Recently Ashley had surgery, and is recovering now. While waiting for the surgery to be completed, as usually happens, waiting room conversations happened. People I’ve never seen before, and may never again, connected for a few minutes.
Some choose to believe these moments are random, but I don’t. I believe that God orders the believer’s steps, which means I was meant to meet them. It’s not that I said anything profound, but somehow for a few minutes we brought each other something, even if it was the gift of distraction.
If you can distract someone for a few minutes from their situation, circumstance, or trial, it’s beneficial. The next time you’re in a waiting room, please make an effort to talk. It’s possible that someone may need to talk about anything, other than what they’re there for.

Sketch Barn Road

Some roads may not seem exciting, but they are essential to travel. The barn road may not look appealing, there may be work ahead, but the barn road also brings sustenance and provision. Sewing produces a harvest!

iPainting Lifting Your Eyes To The Horizon

No matter our abilities, we must look towards the horizon. Otherwise our talents will not brighten anyone’s life.

Sketch Half A Bat

Half a bat is better than none, if it’s a Batmobile that is, lol.
Sketch Shades Of Ed Wynn

My wife gave me a set of cool gray sketching markers. They’re great for tonal work. Here is a sketch of the classic comedian Ed Wynn.
