My Iowa 2022 experience: BTL & Prairie Lights.
So… I’m finally ready with my teaching modules of haiku, haibun, free verse poetry, flash fiction, short story, screenplay, and genre: magic realism.
So glad and honored to join in with the teaching faculty for ‘Between The Lines 2022: Peace and the Writing Experience’ helmed by Alisa Weinstein. I cannot thank Christopher Merrill and Peter Gerlach enough for this opportunity to give back to the international community and young writers the dependable joy of words and their shaping for peace and semblance.
‘Between The Lines: Peace and the Writing Experience’ is a 2-week creative writing and cultural exchange program for young writers aged 15-18 hosted by the International Writing Program.
I will also be reading at the Prairie Lights Bookstore on July 24, 8 am Central Time which is 6:30 pm IST. You are invited, dear friends!

Celebrating 75 years of US-India relations.
Being invited to share in the celebrations of the 247th anniversary of the independence of the USA and 75 years of US-India relations last evening was surreal, while also braving the drenched monsoonal roads. But most importantly meeting with fantastic old and new associates and acquaintances of the US Consulate Mumbai was an unparalleled gladness.

So glad to be a teacher to Between The Lines (BTL): Peace and the Writing Experience, hosted by Iowa’s International Writing Program – 2-week creative writing and cultural exchange program for writers aged 18 to 22 years.
Now for the outlining of modules and seminars from poetry to fiction forms!
