A Note from Alice Brown and Lady V
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we regretfully are announcing that we will be unable to hold a facebook release party for our upcoming release, My Beloved Werewolf. We are in the middle of a family crisis at the moment. The book will still be released Tuesday, September 23, and both Lady V and I will be throwing questions out on our regular facebook pages for a chance to win some prizes.
I also humbly apologize for this week's blog not going out. I hope to be back on top of things by next week.--Alice

Weekly Notes, September 15, 2014
Straight from the desk of Alice Brown & Lady V:
We are preparing for the soon to be release of My Beloved Werewolf, coming September 23, 2014! Final edits have been done, swag has been ordered, and we are eagerly anticipating the event!
Meanwhile, Alice is busy, busy, busy writing Up in Smoke, Texas Vampire Rangers 2. And both Alice and Lady V are working on their Christmas story, tentatively named, A Second Chance.
We are currently on a camping trip (in the pouring down rain) down at the beach for the weekend, resting up, getting away from everyday life, and hopefully getting some good writing done.
So, everyone have a great week! We will be setting up the release party for My Beloved Werewolf by the end of this week, and will have the information ready for you in next week's blog.
From the land of Dragonose!
Hi everyone, Sapphamire here. We dragons actually had the opportunity to sit down and meet with a couple of these werewolves we have been hearing about. We all met in a pub for a beer. These werewolves are pretty cool dudes!
We discussed mates, other paranormal creatures in general, (they had no idea dragon shifters even existed!) and life in general. We found we had a lot in common as far as our core values, and we ended up having a great evening!
As I understand it, you will be able to meet these same characters next week when their book is released, and I know you'll like them every bit as much as we found their company enjoyable.
Now, our creators have taken all of us camping for the weekend and we are getting ready to meet these new characters, a group of vampires that are also Texas Rangers. Hmmmm, not sure about this one, we dragons are cautious by nature and so we will have to meet them first prior to us giving them our seal of approval. Will keep you updated!

What a busy weekend I have had! We are out camping, which always means I get to meet new people, eat plenty of grilled out food, etc. Do you see my human mommy bought me a light up collar? It's so someone can see me when we are out walking late at night! And then I got to meet not one, not two but three big dogs! They were actually a little bit bigger than me. Two females and one male Italian Mastiffs. They were our neighbors this weekend, and boy did we have some fun playing! Now, I am all tuckered out and as we are set to be heading back home soon, I am gong to rest up for the long ride back home.

Hi everyone! We want to start off with a big thank you to everyone who participated in last weeks Author Alice Brown's One Year Anniversary Celebration! It was a blast! We were so happy to see such a great turn out! Now that the party is behind us, it is time to buckle down and get some writing done, which is exactly what we are working on. We are also working on getting ready to launch our advertising campaign for Lady V's first book: My Beloved Werewolf, My Beloved, coming Tuesday, September 23! So, keep a watch out, you should start seeing things being posted on facebook and twitter about this exciting book!
Books we are currently working on are Up in Smoke, Texas Vampire Rangers 2, and a short Christmas story, which hasn't been titled yet.

Hey everyone, Ivormantis here. I just ran into a group of werewolves last night! Their names were Channing, Volf, and Heath, and they were really nice fellows (or at least they were after they understood that I would incinerate them in five seconds flat if they tried to attack me!)
No, they really were nice. They had no idea that dragon shifters existed, so we made plans to join up at a bar later this week for a drink and to talk some more. I think I'll take Fadri and Sapphamire with me, of course, we'll have to let our human halves take over since we are meeting in a public place. I'll let you know how it all goes!

A Message from the Paws: Shadow
Hi everyone! Did you have fun at the party last Wednesday? I hope you did, because I sure did! I helped set up all the decorations, and then when dad fired up the grill, I was right there supervising.
And boy was the food good..mmmm, mmmm. They gave me my very own plate which had a hot dog, hamberger, and pork pieces. Plus I had a little bit of potato salad to go with it. Yum! It was great.
By mid-afternoon, the heat started to get to me though, so I went inside and passed out on top of one of the air conditioning vents for a long nap. Then, I got seconds for dinner that night! I am one lucky pooch!
Oh, and did I tell you I am going camping next weekend? I can't wait! Splashing in the water, meeting new people, going for long walks, I love camping! Of course, I also love that when we camp I get lots of grilled food also! Well, I am off to go pack up my goodies and toys! Have a great week everyone! Below are some pics from the party Wednesday.

Happy Labor Day!

It's been an interesting and technical challenging week. Two laptops completely crashing was just the tip of the iceberg of things that went wrong last week. The good news is the edits for My Beloved Werewolf have been turned in and we are on track for a Sept. 23 release date!
Up in Smoke is coming along also, and will be starting on the short Christmas story within the next week. Now, for some really good news...the One Year Author Anniversary Luau Party has been set up! It will be held over on facebook on Sept 3, all day long, from 10:00 am till 8:30 p.m. EST. Lots of games, and prizes to be had, so make plans to join us. It has been a hectic few weeks for us dragons since the birth of the twins, Kaida & Adania Barrymire. Finally things seem to be settling back down and returning to normal. That is if you can call a couple of twin babies being rocked to sleep each night while flying on dragon wings; while a certain other dragon, we won't mention any names...Uncle S,, quickly hands the little ones back over to mom while gagging at the first scent of a soiled diaper!

You should see my house! It's all decorated for this party that my humans are going to be throwing in just a few days. And I have been told they are bbq'ing pork, hambergers, and hot dogs! Yum-yum! I usually get my own hamberger and hot dog when when we go camping, so I sure hope they plan to do the same during the party!
They've got the back porch all decorated up and there's another box of decorations that I overheard is for the house. Unfortunately, they wanted to hold the party outside and it looks like we could have rain that day, so I think they are preparing for both. Either way, dad and I will be on the back screened in room grilling. He can't grill without me. It's kind of cute actually, I sit out with him while he grills and then I get to help eat the food. I've got this job in the bag!
Anyways, I hope you all can join us for at least the on-line part of the party!

Last Tuesday's release of Ivormantis, Dragons of Dragonose 3 was a huge success, and to all of you who joined us for the release party, Lady V and I want to thank you! All the dragons on hand to help entertain the guests, and a ton of fun, laughs and gifts completed the night.
There was a small hiccup in the road on Thursday as the book actually had to be taken down for about 20 minutes off of Amazon, due to a technical problem. When it was put back up, it went under a new link, therefore confusing many as to where to go find the book. As many of you know, we had quite a bit of excitement last Tuesday night when Evangelina went into labor with her twins right in the middle of the release party for Ivormantis. The twin girls were born the folllowing morning Wed. Aug 20, at 6:05 am. Names have not been chosen yet, but we are getting close. Fans have been on facebook all week giving us suggestions; and the names will be announced sometime within the next twenty-four hours!

Hi everyone! It's been another busy week at the house, with both ladies running around getting ready for parties, making jewelry, and typing away on their computers! We have a camping trip planned in a couple of weeks, but before that, there is going to be a huge party at our house! Yep, Wednesday Sept. 3 will be Alice's one year published anniversary, and they are throwing a huge party to celebrate! It is going to be a luau themed party, and as much talking and planning as the humans are doing, it should be a blast!

As many of you know, we had quite a bit of excitement last Tuesday night when Evangelina went into labor with her twins right in the middle of the release party for Ivormantis. The twin girls were born the folllowing morning Wed. Aug 20, at 6:05 am. Names have not been chosen yet, but we are getting close. Fans have been on facebook all week giving us suggestions; and the names will be announced sometime within the next twenty-four hours!

A Message from the Paws: ShadowHi everyone! It's been another busy week at the house, with both ladies running around getting ready for parties, making jewelry, and typing away on their computers! We have a camping trip planned in a couple of weeks, but before that, there is going to be a huge party at our house! A Message from the Paws: Shadow
Hi everyone, Shadow here. The house has been abuzz with excitement over a dragon book that is supposed to be here this week. A dragon? I don't know about all of the hoopla currently going on in my house. If these humans think that this house is big enough for a dragon to come into....well, I'm keeping my eyes and ears open when I go outside and hear any strange noises!
I did want to tell you about two new foods I tried this week. The first one was a cupcake, and the icing was so good on it my eyes crossed. What a delicious discovery! Mom went to the store and came back with a package of them. When she opened them up, I was right there, because they smelled divine! She turned and spotted me,and offered me half of hers. After having that delicious food, I may never go back to eating dog food!
The second food I tried came about three days after that. Mom was in the kitchen fixing a glass of ice tea. She squeezed this yellow thing into her tea and told me it was a lemon. Of course, I wanted to try it. Mom tried warning me that I wouldn't like it, but really, I have liked all the other people food she has introduced me to, so why would I not like this lemon thingy?
Turns out she was right. Whew, was that thing sour! I don't think I'll be trying that one again any time soon!

Weekly Notes, August 11, 2014
Straight from the desk of Alice Brown & Lady V:
We are putting the final touches on My Beloved Werewolf and should have it out the door and to the editor within the next day or so. We then plan to take a day to rest, (been burning the candle at both ends here recently!) and then move immediately over to the next three books that are scheduled to come out between now and the end of the year. Alice will be working on Up in Smoke, Texas Vampire Rangers 2 and the Christmas Anthology story, and Lady V will be starting the fourth book of Dragons of Dragonose!
Although the fourth book in Dragonose is still unnamed, we can promise you it is going to be a fantastic book and can hardly wait to sink our teeth into it.
We will have information to give you regarding the release party for Ivormantis, Dragons of Dragonose 3 on next week's blog. We will also try to remember to post it on the front page of the website. Hope everyone can join us. Since we will be camping on release day, we are thinking of holding it in the late afternoon and early evening.

Lori, thank you so much of joining us today. Can you tell us how long have you been writing?
I’ve been writing fiction pretty much since I could hold a pencil, and before that I was creating worlds in my head and imaginary friends no one else could see. I’ve always had a hundred different stories playing like a movie reel in my brain. It wasn’t until high-school that I really focused my writing and began honing my skill, and even then it took me until 2012 to submit a book to a publisher.
What drove you to writing?
I’m not sure I could pick something specific. I’ve always been a storyteller; it’s something that comes naturally. Putting the words on paper in a way that made sense took work, but once I start a story I NEED to finish it.
What do you feel the most comfortable writing? (Shifter, Mystery, Cowboy, etc.)
I love writing paranormal because I get to push the boundaries of reality, but I think western stories is where my heart is. I grew up in Kansas surrounded by farming communities and cattle ranches, so country boys have always held my heart.
Who’s your favorite author?
Bertrice Small, Lexi Blake, Jayne Rylon, Stephanie Laurens, Ted Bell, Stephen King, Robin Cooke….this is a list that would go on for days if I listed all of them!
What are the best times for you to write?
Until recently the answer to that question was late at night, because I had my four year old at home with me during the daytime hours. It’s not easy to stay focused on an erotic scene when he’s driving a hot wheel across the screen of my laptop. But he’s growing up and going to preschool, so now I would say the morning is my most productive time; while I’m fresh and focused.
When you are not writing, what do you enjoy doing?
I love to binge watch television shows on Netflix with my oldest son, and I spend a lot of time at the high-school track with my middle son. My youngest and I read together, so I know more children’s book authors than adult authors lately. LOL Reading is a necessary part of my day or I can’t relax to sleep.

He knew the moment it dawned on her that the only open seat was the matching chair on his right. Her entire body tensed, and her cheeks flushed as just the tip of her pink tongue darted out to lick her lips. He waited while she reviewed her options, and then stiffened her spine like a battle weary soldier heading into the last skirmish of the day. We've got some exciting news this week! We have the release date for Ivormantis, Dragons of Dragnose 3! Unfortunately, the dragons are trying to take over the blog, (they have their own twitter page now, so they think they are hot stuff!). They are demanding to be the ones announcing the date, so, if you will look below this segment, you will see their announcement (Spoiled characters!) By the way, if anyone wants to follow them on twitter, they are at @DragonsofDrag We are sure they would love to see you over there!
We are still working hard at finishing My Beloved Werewolf, and have plans to have this book finished by the end of the week (hopefully).
What's next after My Beloved Werewolf? Well, Alice will be working on Up In Smoke, Texas Vampire Rangers 2 while Lady V starts Book 4 of the Dragonose series. And we will also be working together to do a short story as part of an Christmas anthology along with authors Samantha Potter, Lei Carol, Rayne O'Gara, and Hazel Gower!
We are changing up a few things on the blog, but we think you will like the changes. Don't forget to set your calendars for September 3, 2014 to join us in Alice's one year anniversary party! Hi Ryder, thank you so much for joining us today. Can you tell us a little about yourself? What got you started writing? We know your first book has been published recently, but how long have you been writing?
First of all, thank you so much for having me on your blog!
I have been an “Old Lady” since I was 19. In biker talk (husband speak) that is Ol’ Lady. My Ol’ Man and I have been together for a long time now. Two kids, now grown. I live in Michigan, and we love the state.
I started writing stories when I was a teenager, My characters were much stronger, happier, and smarter, and of course led interesting lives than I did.
It is surprising who you meet in the strangest places. Each time something like this happens, I think, Yep, Karma is at work here. I met an Author in a Hospital waiting room where we were waiting for tests. She started talking, (she never shuts up, that is why she writes so much I think) We got into a conversation about writing, and I told her about my writing, I even asked her what the readers want to read. She told me to “Write what you know” That is it, no advice on wording, no offers to read my stories, nothing like that. Karma was right there, I didn’t think my lifestyle was interesting enough to make up stories about.
It seems she was right, at least from the reception that Big Dog has gotten from the readers.
I have an eclectic taste in reading, so I cannot give one specific Author, there are too many and each for different reasons.
I love to write with my headphones on, playing everything from old 50’s –today’s bands and singers. I am in love/ lust with Steve Miller band & Adam Levine, but Toby Keith and Keith Urban are close to the top.
I write in the evenings most of the time. It is nice and quiet, and I can indulge in the characters whims without interruption.

Dragons? Really? The dragons are trying to take over? I don't think so. The only dragon I've seen is a stuffed toy that was shaped like a dragon, and I promptly chewed it up into a million pieces all over the human's carpet. Nope, they know better than to mess with me!
So, I hope everyone is doing well. I came home from camping with the humans on Monday afternoon, and it took me until Wednesday to catch up on my sleep from all of the excitement. You know, you are not supposed to sleep while you camp. You might miss something! Like a frog jumping across the grass, or maybe, just maybe, if you are quiet enough you can spot the deer as they come out of the surrounding woods. And then there is so many new people to meet! So many kids to play with when we go down to the pier. Who has time to sleep? No, I would rather spend my time camping, having fun exploring new things, and eating plenty of grilled out meat! Mmm-mmm, those hamburgers, hot dogs, and steak were delic!
Why can't we go camping all the time so I can eat like this? The humans seem to think that as soon as we go back home I can go back to dog food. Yuk! That stuff is nasty! Even if they try mixing meat in it, I just pick out the good stuff and leave the dry food for later. Much later. Like when I am positive not another person is going to walk out into the kitchen where I might be able to con a morsel or two out of them.

We've got some exciting news this week! We have the release date for Ivormantis, Dragons of Dragnose 3! Unfortunately, the dragons are trying to take over the blog, (they have their own twitter page now, so they think they are hot stuff!). They are demanding to be the ones announcing the date, so, if you will look below this segment, you will see their announcement (Spoiled characters!) By the way, if anyone wants to follow them on twitter, they are at @DragonsofDrag We are sure they would love to see you over there!
We are still working hard at finishing My Beloved Werewolf, and have plans to have this book finished by the end of the week (hopefully).
What's next after My Beloved Werewolf? Well, Alice will be working on Up In Smoke, Texas Vampire Rangers 2 while Lady V starts Book 4 of the Dragonose series. And we will also be working together to do a short story as part of an Christmas anthology along with authors Samantha Potter, Lei Carol, Rayne O'Gara, and Hazel Gower!
We are changing up a few things on the blog, but we think you will like the changes. Don't forget to set your calendars for September 3, 2014 to join us in Alice's one year anniversary party! It is going to be a blast! We just ordered everything this weekend for both the release party and anniversary party, so there will be plenty of give-aways and some great gifts! “You know Demon and Knight, The guy in black is Freakshow, and the other man is Seth.” He nodded to Freakshow and he opened one of the two cell doors, walked into the room and dragged out a man wearing a Breed cut. He pulled the resisting prisoner over to stand six feet from where she was and grabbed the greasy hair, pulling the man’s head back so she could get a good look at him.
Her blood was running fast and hot. He was one of the bastards who grabbed her to begin with. He’d laughed while he violated her body and pounded his fist into her ribs afterwards. He was also one of the men who killed Frenchy.
She bunched her fist and started forward, but Big Dog held her back.
“Tell me who this man is and what he did the night of the attack.” He wasn’t giving her a choice, if she wanted to hurt the bastard, she was going to have to relive the night, She shook with the need to finally have some payback.
“In fact, let’s see who else we have to sweeten the deal for you.” Seth opened the next door and she waited to see who he was bringing to the party. Before he had the man completely out of the doorway, she could see that it was Jarl. The cruelest of the bunch who had tortured her. She had scars on her body that reminded her of his cruelty every time she looked in a mirror, and the temptation to kill the evil bastard was too much for her to exercise caution, there was an orange red haze over her brain and she yanked her arm away from Big Dog’s grasp, and ran toward her nightmare. She landed a steel-toed boot to his crotch and reached for the knife she carried in a sheath in the other boot. Her hand was yanked up with the knife in her fist, and another arm ringed her waist as she struggled to be allowed to finish the job that should have been done at the birth of the monster.
“I will give anything to kill this cocksucker, anything. Let me have just two minutes, I’ll gut him and play in his blood. I’ll even clean up the mess. I owe him, I owe him so much pain and hell that you will never know.” Seth pulled Jarl’s head back and she could see where the evil bastard’s face was scarred from the fire the night she was dumped in that field. The scar wasn’t anything compared to the ones he’d left on her body, but she rejoiced in seeing that he had suffered, even if it was in a minimal way. She grinned at his startled face as she spoke. Her next kick barely connected to his gut, but watching him double over made her laugh. She screamed as many filthy words as she could think to scream at him. She struggled in the embrace that held her so tightly she had trouble breathing, and she cursed the men who put the prisoners back into their cages.
Knowing she was crying and not giving a damn who saw her tears, she fought her fatigue. “Please, let me have them.” Big Dog held her still. He was as bad as the other men she’d known all of her life. To dangle two of her nightmares in the flesh in front of her and then refusing to allow her to finally put an end to them was cruel. She stopped fighting his hold. He was too big, too strong for her to break free. As she came back to herself, she realized there was no way the men in the room would allow a female to do a man’s work if she got the chance. He let go of her middle and squeezed her wrist to make her release the knife. “You can break my fucking arm, I’m not giving it up. I’ll put it away, but I won’t give it up.” He released her, and she slowly put the knife back into its sheath.

Hi! Yes, I am camping, and having all kinds of fun! I thought I'd take you on a journey with me of my weekend. Ready? Here we go!
This is me in the camper just leaving home. I love to go for rides!
Our first night at the campsite! Can hardly wait for tomorrow!
Such a beautiful evening down at the pier
And I can't help it if little kids fall in love with me. After all, my mommy keeps telling me how good looking I am!
Ahh, a nice walk down the pier! I love coming here!
I have seen deer on my evening walks also! I love, love, love camping! Did I tell you I get my very own hamburger, hot dog, steak, and lunch meat! I eat like a king when we go camping! The only bad thing is we are going back home tomorrow. I'd really like to stay a few more days,and I overheard one of the humans state she wish they could too. But then they gave me the good news that we are coming back down next month and spending four days! Rrruff-ruff! That sounds great! I'd better hurry up when we get home and gather the toys I want to take for next time. You know, a puppy can't have too many toys while camping!
One final note before I go. A friend of my humans lost her cat this week. Although I never had the chance to meet this feline, my heart goes out to it's owner who had to say goodbye. This post is being dedicated to Mercedes. May you rest in peace and be pain free on the other side of the rainbow bridge.--Love Shadow

Samantha, can you tell us a little about yourself, your personal life. Such as how long have you been writing?
I have been writing on and off for about a year.
What drove you to writing?
I’ve always had an active imagination; it came to a point where reading books wasn’t enough. I wanted to see if I could do it for myself and where it would take me. As soon as I began I was driven to complete the book. At the time I had no expectations on where this would take me other than self achievement.
What do you feel the most comfortable writing? (Shifter, Mystery, Cowboy, etc.)
Anything to do with paranormal creatures as well as Mystery, drama and fantasy.
Who’s your favorite author?
Stephanie Myer – the Twilight series.
What are the best times for you to write?
The best time to write is when my kids are asleep and I have the house to myself. I always carry a note book and pen in my bag just in case an idea screams out at me while I’m out.
When you are not writing, what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy reading, arts and craft as well as doing Puzzles.

A Message from the Paws: Shadow
Hi everyone! Boy, has there been some excitement going on in my house this week! The humans started talking about a party a few days ago, and it's been non-stop excitement ever since. I'm not sure what all they plan yet, but I heard them talking about decorating the back screened in room, having a BBQ, inviting people over, and then I heard include facebook and website fans (I think that means you!) They are making lists, and I heard someone say something about giving goody bags away! I'm not sure yet what all this means, but I will certainly let you know as soon as I find out more!
I don't have an update on my girl Lily as of yet, I never made it over last week for a play date. I'll tell you, it stinks when you can't drive and have to depend on humans to take you everywhere! Mom has promised a play date this week, so hopefully I'll have plenty of news to tell you next week. Oh, and I almost forgot! I'm going camping again next weekend! I love going camping with my humans. They cook me my own hot dog or hamburger; and we also have so much fun! I'll be sure to share pictures!

Today, we are sitting down with Samantha Potter, who is going to tell us a bit about herself, and then tell us about her new book soon to be released!
Samantha, can you tell us a little about yourself, your personal life. Such as how long have you been writing?
I have been writing on and off for about a year.
What drove you to writing?
I’ve always had an active imagination; it came to a point where reading books wasn’t enough. I wanted to see if I could do it for myself and where it would take me. As soon as I began I was driven to complete the book. At the time I had no expectations on where this would take me other than self achievement.
What do you feel the most comfortable writing? (Shifter, Mystery, Cowboy, etc.)
Anything to do with paranormal creatures as well as Mystery, drama and fantasy.
Who’s your favorite author?
Stephanie Myer – the Twilight series.
What are the best times for you to write?
The best time to write is when my kids are asleep and I have the house to myself. I always carry a note book and pen in my bag just in case an idea screams out at me while I’m out.
When you are not writing, what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy reading, arts and craft as well as doing Puzzles.
