Blog Tour: Adorkable by Cookie O'Gorman

Exclusive Excerpt My heart beat triple-time as Becks leaned even closer, eyes on mine. I started slightly at the feel of his hand on my jaw, struggling for breath as it slid to my cheek, fingers finally coming to rest at the base of my neck. Ducking, he placed a lingering kiss on the spot right below my ear. The move made my hand shoot out to grip his jersey. Becks laughed silently, little puffs of air hitting my neck […]

Release Blitz: Adorkable by Cookie O'Gorman

Exclusive Excerpt “You’re not seriously going to listen to them,” I said flatly. “What else can I do?” “Becks, beware the dark side.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” “It’s a Yoda-ism,” I said, “and you know exactly what it means. Becks, have you no shame?” “Nope,” he said, lifting the jersey over his head in one swift pull, causing a mixture of applause, screaming and appreciative sighs. I shook my head, struggling to keep my eyes north of his jaw […]

Release Blitz: unVerified by Kristin Giese

Exclusive Excerpt “Kirby, when do you move in?” Maureen Melon shrieked as Margo walked into the kitchen. “Did you hear that M&M? Kirby bought a house!” “Wow,” Margo said flatly, greeting the news with the same enthusiasm as dental work. “I close next week. And then after that,” Kirby trailed off, lost in a haze of euphoria before exclaiming, “I’m gonna be a homeowner at 24! Can you believe it?” They both looked at Margo with stars in their eyes. […]

July Camp NaNo: Day 1

PictureIt's finally July and that means it's time to start writing Taming the Alpha now that  Unmoored  is all formatted and all I'm waiting for is the print cover (if you didn't already know, the eBook is available for preorder). I told myself I'd write an outline like I did for Unmoored, but I didn't have time last month to do so. I also have such a clear vision of certain key scenes that I know I can write to. I have a good feeling about this story because not only is it one I've been dying to write for the past 2 years, it's also the end of The Belgrave Legacy series. It's both exciting and a little scary.Taming the Alpha by Zara HoffmanTitle: Taming the Alpha
Series: The Belgrave Legacy, 3
Author: Zara Hoffman
Genre: Upper YA Paranormal Romance
Publisher: ZH Press
Release Date: May 7, 2018

Add on GoodreadsCan two alphas fall in love?

Alexis Morgan is running for her life. As Alpha, it's her job to keep the pack safe. But she needs help—and soon.

They can help each other. There's just one problem—the two Alphas can barely stand each other.

Taming the Alpha is a young adult werewolf romance. It is a spin-off novel of The Belgrave Legacy, and can be read as a sequel or stand-alone.

Unmoored Is Up for Preorder

Last week, I finished by the second draft of Unmoored sent it to the editor, and announced the release date. Then, this past Sunday (right before Memorial Day 2018), my editor sent it back and I've been making the changes over the past 2 days. And now... the eBook is up for preorder.

I'm hoping to have the paperback release the same day as the eBook publication, but as my cover artist is positively swamped with other commissions, I don't know if that'll happen.

If you're wondering how The Belgrave Legacy and Unmoored compare in length, you can see below that Ivy and Alec's story is a bit shorter than Fawn and Caleb's. As I am just starting to draft  Taming the Alpha , I don't know how the third and final book will measure up.

Unmoored by Zara HoffmanTitle: Unmoored
Series: The Belgrave Legacy, 2
Author: Zara Hoffman
Genre: Upper YA Paranormal Romance
Publisher: ZH Press
Release Date: July 17, 2018
eBook ISBN: 978-0-9896294-4-7
Paperback ISBN: 978-0-9896294-6-1

Goodreads PreorderA witch. A siren. Soulmates?

Alec Belgrave is overwhelmed. He's busy protecting his sister Fawn from the forces of Hell while also attending college in a different state. The last thing he expected was to learn their shared best friend was his soulmate.

As a siren, Ivy Moore knows a lot about attraction. But having Supernatural beauty is useless if her own soulmate doesn't see her as anything more than a sisterly best friend. Is it so unreasonable to want her soulmate to want her without fate pulling the strings?

They may be soulmates, but that doesn't mean love will come easily.

Unmoored is a young adult paranormal romance featuring magic and sirens. It is a spin-off of The Belgrave Legacy, but should be read as a sequel.

May 2018 Update: Unmoored Has Gone to the Editor

Picture I did it! I finally did it! I sent my manuscript to my editor yesterday and I when Valentine's Day 2018 came and went without me being ready, I kept the new different publication date to myself. But now that Unmoored is in the editor's hands, I decided to publicize the new release date: July 17, 2018 The reason I picked this date is that it is Ivy Moore's birthday. Just like The Belgrave Legacy was published on Halloween (Fawn and Alec Belgrave's birthdays), I wanted the novel to come out on the main character's birthday for an extra meaningful release date.

In the meantime, don't forget to add  Unmoored  on Goodreads (link is both in the blog header and on the book's page).

Life isn’t fair. I know that lesson well.
I said goodbye to Caleb ten years ago.
The boy I once loved is man now—a rugged, s*xy as h*ll man.
As a hotshot firefighter, he’s all about saving others.
Life ripped us apart, stealing more than I could’ve imagined.
Time didn’t heal all of my wounds, and time never let me forget what we once had.
Once again, he comes to my rescue.
This time, I’m running from a different set of demons.
Maybe this time we have a second chance.
Caleb
Fire burns hot and bright. It can destroy everything.
Just like it destroyed what I had with Ella.
What comes out of the ashes is stronger than ever.
Ella meant everything to me once upon a time.
We were young and foolish when tragedy tore us apart.
She went running, and I was too torn up to chase after her and make it right.
They say time heals all wounds.
Some things never die, and the fire between us burns hotter than ever.
I’ll do anything to keep her safe, to make her mine.
Picture ExcerptElla
I couldn’t have known that he would hold me close all night—pulling me up against his side where I could comfortably drape myself over him, or spooning behind me, holding me in the cage of his arms.
That was how I woke the following day—with the sun angling across the bed and Caleb’s warm, hard body curled behind me. His palm rested on the curve of my belly, and I could feel his breath rise and fall, slow and steady, against my back.
I shifted my hips, my body reflexively seeking to be closer, and felt his quite obvious arousal against my bottom. I was instantly slick between my thighs. My body moved on its’ own accord, my hips shifting restlessly, trying to ease the ache at my core. I felt him come awake from a subtle shift in his breathing. He murmured something and then flexed in a shivering stretch that I felt to my bones.
His palm slid up my belly to cup one of my breasts. My nipples puckered, instantly tight and achy. “Mmm, Ella,” he murmured in my hair before dropping a kiss against my shoulder. He was warm all over, and I loved it. I tended to be cold. All the damn time.
Much as I loved winter and I loved Alaska, I had never loved the cold that came with it. I was the kind of person who went to sleep with socks on just keep my feet warm. That wasn’t necessary with Caleb. He was my own personal heater.
My hips shifted back against him again. I couldn’t resist rocking into the hard, hot length of him. Because I knew I wanted and where I wanted it. I turned my head, reaching a hand up to trace along the strong line of his jaw. He caught my lips in a kiss.

On the heels of a breath, his hand slid down, sifting through the curls at the apex of my thighs and dipping his fingers into my folds. Picture Exclusive ExcerptCaleb
My heart kicked up a notch just being close to her. It had been five years since I’d seen Ella. She looked up at me through the rain, her green eyes bright in the gray light. I felt as if I was spinning back in time—emotions jostling against each other in the process. I’d loved Ella fiercely once upon a time.

“I think so. Dana said I just need a few stitches, right?” she asked, her gaze swinging to Dana Halloran, one of the EMT’s on the scene.

Dana nodded from where she stood, turning back to Ella, her eyes bouncing between us briefly. She squirted disinfectant on a cotton ball, carefully dabbing at the cut on the side of Ella’s forehead. “That looks like all you’ll need. I’ll just clean this up and we’ll get going. They’ll take care of the stitches at the hospital.”

Ella looked back at me. “See, just a few stitches.”

“I’ll meet you at the hospital,” I said as Dana carefully taped a piece of gauze over the cut.

“You don’t need to do that,” Ella replied.

Dana stepped away and spoke to the ambulance driver. I focused on Ella. “I’ll meet you there,” I repeated.

“Caleb, you don’t have to take care of me. I’m…”

A flash of anger rose inside. I might not have been thinking too clearly, but for God’s sake. Ella had once meant everything to me. Then, everything went to hell.

“Ella, you just had a car accident. Is it absolutely necessary to act like we mean nothing to each other?”Ella
We stared at each other again. Oh God. It felt so good to be close to him. For the first time in years, I felt like I could relax. I wanted to wrap myself in Caleb and stay there forever.

My next words startled me. “I miss you.” The moment those words escaped, I wanted to grab them and stuff them back inside. I didn’t need to blurt out all kinds of crazy, emotional stuff. This wasn’t supposed to happen this way.

Caleb stared at me, the hand circling on my back finally pausing. He swallowed, the sound audible in the room. My awareness of him was so heightened the hair on the back of my neck stood up. “You have no idea how much I’ve missed you,” he nearly growled.

Emotion was rushing through me, mingling with desire that should’ve seemed out of place given everything that had happened, but it didn’t. Wanting Caleb came as easily as breathing to me. It always had. I’d forgotten how powerful the draw was. Raw joy rose through the scrum of tattered regret and lingering pain, striking against that desire like flint to stone.

This was me, this was Caleb. Us. There had never been anyone but him in my heart, and my body knew it. He strummed every chord of my being simply by existing in space and time near me.

With a muttered imprecation, he dipped his head, kissing one corner of my mouth and then the other. Oh geez. I was a sucker for corner kisses, at least when it came to him. Two more kisses dusted at the corners of my mouth and then I sighed. His tongue swiped along the seam of my lips, and I let go with a low moan.
