Electoral College becoming popular again

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Americans’ support for keeping the Electoral College system for electing presidents has increased sharply. Weeks after the 2016 election, 47% of Americans say they want to keep the Electoral College, while 49% say they want to amend the Constitution to allow for a popular vote for president. In the past, a clear majority favored amending the U.S. Constitution to replace the Electoral College with a popular vote system.

Donald Trump secured enough electors in the Electoral College to win the presidency, despite Hillary Clinton winning the popular vote. With Clinton’s popular lead total continuing to expand, now at more than 2.5 million votes, there have been persistent calls since Election Day to abolish the Electoral College. Such sentiment has clearly prevailed when Gallup asked this question twice in 2000 — after George W. Bush won the Electoral College while Al Gore won the popular vote — in 2004 and in 2011. In each instance, support for a constitutional amendment hovered around 60%.

From 1967 through 1980, Gallup asked a slightly different question that also found majority support for an amendment to base the winner on the popular vote. Support for an amendment peaked at 80% in 1968, after Richard Nixon almost lost the popular vote while winning the Electoral College. Ultimately, he wound up winning both by a narrow margin, but this issue demonstrated the possibility of a candidate becoming president without winning the popular vote. In the 1976 election, Jimmy Carter faced a similar situation, though he also won the popular vote and Electoral College. In a poll taken weeks after the election, 73% were in favor of an amendment doing away with the Electoral College.

This year, for the first time in the 49 years Gallup has asked about it, less than half of Americans want to replace the Electoral College with a popular vote system.

The reason for this shift in opinion is clear: In the aftermath of this year’s election, the percentage of Republicans wanting to replace the Electoral College with the popular vote has fallen significantly.

Currently, 19% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents favor basing the winner on the popular vote, down from 49% in October 2004 and 54% in 2011. Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents already widely favored having the popular vote determine the winner and are slightly more likely to do so now than in the past.

People who want to get rid of the Electoral College have absolutely no understanding of it. I say this because I used to the one of them. I’m more knowledgeable now than I’ve ever been before in my life as far as politics and world events are concerned. One of the key things I’ve learned during this election cycle is why the Electoral College is vitally important.

The Electoral College prevents what the Founding Fathers of the U.S. considered to be a flawed system. That flawed system was democracy. Democracy in its purest form was seen for what it was. A system where the majority could tyrannize everyone. The Electoral College was a genius system because it made sure that all states get a say and have a voice. HRC’s 57 counties won should never be counted higher than Trump’s 3,100+.

Those who say we should have a popular vote don’t understand that the U.S. is not a democracy. It’s a constitutional representative republic. It was designed to be that way. And those who want to abolish the Electoral College, are vouching for the dismemberment of our constitution. There isn’t a doubt in my mind if the Electoral College had helped the democrats to win this election, the left would be singing it’s praises. It’s only an issue when their candidate doesn’t win.

There has been an ongoing movement to get rid of the Electoral College for years. It’s popularity rose due to ignorance of what I stated above. Even through the nastiness of electors receiving death threats and being harassed for doing their duty by voting for the candidate that their county elected has been terrible, I’m glad that the left’s bad behavior has lead to more people realizing the importance of this tradition.

Is Germany worth saving?

A teenage Afghan asylum seeker has been arrested in Germany for the rape and murder of the 19-year-old daughter of a senior EU official.

Medical student Maria Ladenburger, who volunteered at a refugee home in her spare time, was found dead in the university city of Freiburg, near the border with Switzerland in mid October.

Her father is Dr. Clemens Ladenburger, a lawyer who works as rthe right hand man to the legal director of the European Commission.

It is unclear whether she ever met her murderer before he took her life.

The suspect has confessed to the murder, according to police. He was arrested on Friday and will go before the courts next year.

Maria was drowned after being raped, her body found in the River Dreisam on October 16.

A single 18.5 cm long strand of dark hair that had been partially dyed blonde, was found in a blackberry bush.

Her black scarf was also found discovered on the riverbed.

DNA from the hair and the scarf were run through the police criminal database, but no matches were found.

Detectives then turned to CCTV footage in the town and the surrounding area where Maria was found.

After three weeks video footage was unearthed of the asylum seeker on a local tram who police say had a ‘very conspicuous hairstyle, an undercut hairstyle’, with a portion of his long hair dyed blonde.

He was arrested Friday and a DNA probe matched him to the crime scene. Public prosecutor Dieter Inhofer said the suspect had been taken in by a local family in Freiburg, where he had lived without incident.

The only thing that I can think when I read this and look at the picture of a young, vivacious, and beautiful woman about to enter the best years of her young adult life, is that the left must be saved from themselves.

The father (who ironically enough is an EU official) of the young woman was giving money to refugees at his daughter’s funeral. Nothing was learned. Nothing was gained. All was lost. Because the reasons why his daughter died were lost on him.

His daughter gave her free time to helping those she was taught were in need. Ideas no doubt implanted into her mind by her family, peers, and the left-wing European media proclaiming at all these “migrants” are victims.

I see only one victim here. And she can’t speak for herself. I have no doubt with the indoctrination of young women by the left that she might be inclined to defend her attacker if she were alive to speak. I won’t… because I don’t have Stockholm syndrome.

I hope the authorities let her attacker rot in a prison cell or worse. I hope that her father is able to one day see that his sympathy for a false mainstream narrative of helping those who hate the West and want to conquer it eventually seeps its way into his mind (not likely given that it would require him to take some responsibility and the left isn’t good at that). And I hope that more European countries votes in right of center parties that will save the crumbling EU from itself.

Time is running out. And if the Germans, Swedes, and other EU countries don’t wake up to the danger, there will be no saving them.

HuffPo learns absolutely nothing

Hillary Clinton’s top aides would like the world to know they are morally superior to Donald Trump and his staff, who ran an ugly campaign courting white nationalists. The Clinton team is right. And it doesn’t matter.

Liberals will believe to the VERY end that they have the moral high ground without giving sufficient reason as to why. Except that everyone else is racist, xenophobic, homophobic, etc.

At a vicious Harvard University post-mortem seminar on the 2016 election, top staffers for Clinton excoriated Team Trump for running a campaign that catered to white nationalists. “If providing a platform for white supremacists makes me a brilliant tactician, I am proud to have lost,” Clinton aide Jennifer Palmieri declared. “I would rather lose than win the way you guys did.”

This goes back to the root of why the Democrats lost. Calling people white supremacists because they disagree with you isn’t a good tactic for a winning play. I can’t think of a single situation throughout my whole life where someone calling me a name helped me to see things their way. Trump got more votes from minority groups than any other Republican candidate in the history of U.S. presidential elections. But this fact is ignored like a dutiful commitment to the SJW narrative.

There are three possible choices to be made in the logical universe in which a political party is running a fascist campaign. People can 1) join the fascists, 2) lose to the fascists or 3) defeat the fascists. The Clinton campaign wants credit for not choosing door No. 1. Their job was to make option three a reality. History will remember them for number two.

Nazi = National SOCIALIST German WORKERS Party. Everything about fascism and the Nazis screams left wing socialism. I don’t care what Google told you because it’s run by left wingers.

Hitler put into place a socialized healthcare system. He forced women into the workforce for the increased taxes that could be collected and claimed it was their duty to serve the state and get their children into school faster for indoctrination purposes. Just like Lenin did. (*cough cough* Feminism *cough cough*) Hitler was by definition, a liberal socialist. There wasn’t a single policy that he implemented that was in line with conservatism. So every time some moron tells you that the right is the home of fascism, smack them. Not that it will help. But it will make you feel better.

Clinton ran against the single most unpopular candidate in the history of American presidential polling, and lost.

Obviously Trump wasn’t as unpopular as you might want to believe. It wasn’t until the week of the election that the liberals in the mainstream media started realizing that the people of America REALLY don’t like HRC.

Was this because Russians hacked the Democratic National Committee?

Oh, for the love of god! More Russiaphobia? This has been disproven time and time again!

Because FBI Director James Comey recklessly interfered?

You mean by doing his job as FBI Director? If doing your job is reckless, I hereby proclaim HuffPo ‘journalists’ as reckless. But we already knew that.

Because a tiny fraction of the electorate voted for Jill Stein?

That’s probably because they didn’t like either candidate.

Because Clinton didn’t really bother to campaign in the Rust Belt? Why, yes! In an election decided by 110,000 votes, just about every factor can be considered decisive.

Which is why Trump held rallies in states where he could get more electoral college votes. Because that’s how the Constitution works.

But Clintonia’s (persuasive) defense of its own righteousness helps explain why the election was close to begin with. Trump ran a deeply bigoted campaign that whipped up and played off of white resentment. But his dominant performance among white working-class voters wasn’t due to his campaign message alone. Much of Clinton’s poor performance resulted from her campaign’s strategic decision to not even contest the demographic. A good chunk of the Democratic Party intelligentsia applauded Clinton for taking the moral high ground, declaring the entire white working class to be a deplorable racist swamp. The notion that economic issues played literally no role ― zero ― in Trump’s appeal became a common Democratic talking point. Democrats were Good People, and anyone even considering voting for Trump was a Bad Person.

Once again, this is why you lost. White people are racist. White people are deplorable. White people wanted revenge. White people are the devil. White people should die. White people………….. don’t like being told that they’re morally bad or inferior because they disagree with left wing narratives that have been shoved down their throats for the last few decades.

There is no need to pretend the white working class is a monolith of moral excellence. Many working-class people, like many middle- and upper-class people, are bigoted, hostile to all kinds of people and lifestyles. But the job of a presidential candidate is to appeal to our better angels and win votes anyway.

Andrew Lloyd Webber goes full SJW

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber has said British theatre is “hideously white” and will not survive unless more resources are funneled to black and Asian drama students and performers.

“Hideously white?” I would like to name all the ways in which you’re hideously racist against your own race, Lloyd Webber.

The musical theatre composer, who has won three Grammys and created noted shows including Cats and The Phantom of the Opera, was writing in a new “diversity report” looking at reducing the proportion of white people in the performing arts.

And to think that Phantom of the Opera was a favorite of mine for so long. I wonder if the most recent film adaptation made him angry. It was mostly white. Granted that it was set in 19th century Paris.

If this article said that Lloyd Webber was seeking to minimize the proportion of black people in the performing arts, there would be outrage.

According to The Stage, he commented: “I passionately believe that the stage needs to reflect the diversity of the UK population or it risks becoming sidelined.”

The report – The Pipeline of BAME [black and minority ethnic] Talent” – was written by Centre Stage and commissioned by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.

Centre Stage claimed that non-white students at drama school feel isolated among predominantly white students.

Maybe the non-white students feel isolated because university taught them that they are their race and they don’t possess other qualities. Just a suspicion…

Their report calls for drama schools to make 50 per cent of places accessible to “low-income students”, for extra online resources for non-white students, and for funding bodies to include diversity as a “key criterion” when awarding money.

Meaning you could have all the talent in the world, but it won’t matter soon. Your family’s income is what will gain you access to the program. What if you’re white and low income? Oh, wait. That doesn’t count does it? Bernie Sanders seems to believe that if you’re white, you don’t know what it means to be poor. Even though the U.S. cities with the lowest incomes and highest rate of homelessness have the largest demographic of whites. (I realize that this article is about the U.K., but I have a suspicion that the numbers are probably similar).

There are also calls for producers, directors, and others to “take a lead in encouraging a more culturally diverse workforce”, with “colour blind” casting and more plays by non-white writers.

If Lloyd Webber was color blind to start with, he wouldn’t be seeing whites as “hideously white” to start with. Noticing a pattern here?

The report warns: “If the situation continues, there is real danger that, not only will as a profession, they will stay away as punters. And without them in the audience, theatres will become unsustainable, as they are forced to compete for a dwindling ageing, white, middle-class audience.”

I guess there’s no such thing as enjoying the theater for the story telling or entertainment value anymore. It’s all about skin color and if minorities in the audience see a direct reflection of themselves up on stage. Because people can only relate to a character if they see their own skin color under the stage lights. Let’s face it, characters in stories don’t have other traits or qualities outside of their skin color. *::headdesk::*

The report’s authors, Danuta Kean and Mel Larsen, claimed that “white middle classes still dominate audiences” and that “even in London, where the BAME population is now 44 per cent, audiences outside specialist theatres and theatre groups remain overwhelmingly white”.

U.S. basketball and U.S. football is predominantly black players. I still love watching the games. WHO GIVES A SHIT!!!!!!!

Lord Lloyd Webber is now urging “arts sector bodies, drama schools, theatre producers, actors, creative teams and philanthropists to take responsibility and specific action”.

‘Throw her to the DOGS’ Vile calls for DEATH PENALTY for woman caught not wearing a hijab

A WOMAN in Saudi Arabia who dared to defy the authorities and venture outside without a hijab is now facing calls for her to be executed.

The image, said to be taken in Riyadh the country’s capital, was reportedly posted under the account name of ‘Malak Al Shehri’ which has since been deleted.

However the image has now been retweeted several times and caused outrage amongst some users.

One man even stated: “Kill her and throw her corpse to the dogs”.

An anonymous student claimed Ms Al Shehri had said that she was going to go out for breakfast without either a hijab or abaya, a traditional Saudi body covering.

The student also claimed the woman had received death threats for merely posting the image.

The student said: “So many people retweeted it and what she did reached extremists, so she got threats.

“She deleted her tweets but they didn’t stop, so she deleted her account.”

One user posted: “We propose blood”, while another demanded a “harsh punishment for the heinous situation”.

The woman has also received a huge amount of support as well on social media sites.

Graeme Robinson tweeted: “The world needs more brave women like MalakAlShehri, not cowardly bigoted men who want her killed”.

Another user, Farah Aqqad wrote: “Its about time to protest against this discriminative abaya prison against women”.

While ‘Austin’ simply wrote: “Brave Lady”.

The news comes after Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talai said that women should be allowed to drive.

He posted on Twitter towards the end of November: “It’s high time that Saudi women started driving their cars.

“Preventing a woman from driving a car today is an issue of rights similar to the one that forbade her from receiving an education or having an independent identity.”

The Arab kingdom is the only country in the world where women are banned from driving.

Russiaphobia on ecstasy!

H.R.6393, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017, passed in the House of Representatives on November 30.

The legislation deals with a number of intelligence-related issues, including Russian propaganda, or what the government calls propaganda.

Section 501 calls for the government to counter “measures by Russia to exert covert influence … carried out in coordination with, or at the behest of, political leaders or the security services of the Russian Federation and the role of the Russian Federation has been hidden or not acknowledged publicly.”

Definitions include media manipulation, covert broadcasting, disinformation and forgeries, and “funding agents of influence.”

On November 24, The Washington Post published an article citing “experts” who claim Russian propaganda helped Donald Trump get elected.

“Two teams of independent researchers found that the Russians exploited American-made technology platforms to attack U.S. democracy at a particularly vulnerable moment, as an insurgent candidate harnessed a wide range of grievances to claim the White House. The sophistication of the Russian tactics may complicate efforts by Facebook and Google to crack down on “fake news,” as they have vowed to do after widespread complaints about the problem,” the Post reported.

The newspaper cited PropOrNot, an anonymous website that posted a hit list of alternative media websites, including Drudge Report, Zero Hedge, Activist Post, Blacklisted News, and many others.

PropOrNot attempts to make the case the websites are either used directly or covertly by the Russians to spread propaganda.

At this point it is unknown if the bill will work its way through the Senate and become law and if it will be used to shut down or curtail websites anonymously characterized as useful idiots or willing participants in disseminating supposed Russian propaganda.

This is code for, “if the right wing media publishes something we don’t like, it’s Russia’s fault and we will hammer on it.”

The left’s obsession with Russia knows no bounds. They continuously say that their “researchers” (unnamed) and “experts” (according to whom) have evidence against Russia claiming that it was a cyber attack that lead to Trump’s victory. Even though Facebook and Twitter were both caught red handed when they suspended accounts of Trump supporters and prevented certain hashtags from trending.

It’s no secret that Mark Fuckerberg is a tool for the left and did his best to hide or silence those on Facebook who voiced support for Trump. It’s no secret that HRC lied at the debate when she claimed she had several sources that verified a Russian cyber attack. The fact checkers caught her the very next day. But what do you expect from a pathological liar? It’s also no secret that Julian Assange admitted Russia wasn’t his source for the DNC hack of Podesta’s emails.

Now this lunacy is being passed by the House. When the left can’t beat you, they silence you. And this bill is the House’s way of silencing the American people and our free press (which isn’t really free) before Trump can get into office.

Be afraid. We need Trump more than ever to put a muzzle over this hysteria that could lead to nuclear war with Russia. The mainstream media is no better than a terrorist organization. They spread lies, fear, and silence their opponents.

Applause for Nick Cannon

“It’s modern day eugenics.”  That’s how musician and host of the hit show “America’s Got Talent” Nick Cannon described Planned Parenthood’s work last week.   Cannon assailed the organization’s work in black communities as a “genocide” aimed at “population control.”  Sadly, he’s right.  Nearly 80 percent of Planned Parenthood’s abortion facilities are located in low-income, minority neighborhoods; approximately one-third of all abortions are performed on black women, far out of proportion to the 13 percent African-American share of the U.S. population.

Targeting minorities for abortion services is in keeping with the mission of Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, who described her goal as the “release and cultivation of the better racial elements in our society” and the eventual “extirpation” of “human weeds.”  More recently, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg echoed Sanger’s comments, saying in an interview with The New York Times that the abortion on demand regime legalized by Roe v. Wade was needed to eliminate “populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”

The American people reject this hateful philosophy, and are repelled by Planned Parenthood’s side-business of selling the body parts of aborted babies for a profit. What they may not know, however, is that their tax dollars subsidize this loathsome work — under current law, more than $500 million in federal funding is directed to Planned Parenthood each year.

Among the top priorities of the new Congress in 2017 must be to redirect these funds to community health clinics that offer comprehensive health care services to women and their families — without abortion.  These clinics outnumber Planned Parenthood facilities by 20 to 1, and are widely accessible to the people they serve. There are more than 13,000 qualified health centers providing a full range of health care services to women, including 4,000 in underserved rural areas. Research done by the Charlotte Lozier Institute documented that on average, there is at least one federally qualified health center within five miles of every Planned Parenthood location.

Deny deny deny!

No victim has come forward. There’s no investigation. And physical evidence? That doesn’t exist either.

The victims were children. Many of them are suspected to be Haitian children who might not speak English. You expect them to be able to come forward if these allegations turn out to be true? So if a child is abused, but is scared of their abuser lashing out, they don’t qualify as a victim? Their experience isn’t “physical evidence?” THEY’RE CHILDREN!

But thousands of people are convinced that a pedophilia ring involving people at the highest levels of the Democratic Party is operating out of a Washington pizza restaurant.

They’re convinced because there has been an ongoing investigation via the Internet that the left continues to deny and/or ignore. And one thing the left wing mainstream media is good at doing is hiding or denying stories that right wingers discover. In fact, it’s gotten to a point where if the left ignores it, investigators know they’ve caught onto something big. They tried hiding Bill Clinton’s affair with Lewinsky, they tried hiding the “hands up don’t shoot” narrative for Black Lives Matter being a complete lie, and they tried hiding the significance of HRC’s email scandal. Hiding a pedophilia ring would be a new low, but not one that would leave people terribly surprised.

The story riveted fringes of Twitter – nearly a million messages were sent last month using the term “pizzagate”.

So how did this fake story take hold amongst alt-right Trump supporters and other Hillary Clinton opponents?

Let’s start with the facts.

Leftists don’t deal with facts. I’m suspicious already.

In early November, as Wikileaks steadily released piles of emails from Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta, one contact caught the attention of prankster sites and people on the paranoid fringes.

James Alefantis is the owner of Comet Ping Pong, a pizza restaurant in Washington. He’s also a big Democratic Party supporter and raised money for both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. He was once in a relationship with David Brock, an influential liberal operative.

Umm… red flag?!

Alefantis – who’s never met Clinton – appeared in the Podesta emails in connection with the fundraisers.

And from these thin threads, an enormous trove of conspiracy fiction was spun.

Users of 4chan, a message board known for free speech, extreme content and trollish behaviour, began posting speculation and supposed connections gleaned from internet searches. They trawled Alefantis’ Instagram feed for pictures of children and the modern art which lines his restaurant’s walls, and dreamt up a paedophile sex ring involving prominent politicians and political donors.

Research is now trolling? Last I checked research based on evidence found in the Podesta emails isn’t considered “dreamt up” information. It spread like a wild-fire because the emails were suspicious from the start. But the left wasn’t paying attention to the Wikileaks to start with. So why would they give credit to the findings now?

Soon there were protesters outside of Comet Ping Pong. Alefantis even invited some of them in – they filmed the encounter and put it on YouTube.

“They ignore basic truths,” Alefantis tells BBC Trending. For instance, the conspiracy supposedly is run out of the restaurant’s basement. “We don’t even have a basement.”

Weak.

“Sometimes an innocent picture of a child in a basket is just an innocent picture of a child in a basket and not proof of a child sex trafficking ring,” he says.

Wasn’t one of the pictures of a little girl being held down with duct tape or something?

The conspiracy theory bubbled up from 4chan onto the mainstream internet when a Reddit user posted a long document with all of the “evidence” several days before the US election. It first appeared on a section of the site popular with Donald Trump supporters from the extremist white nationalist alt-right.

The alt-right is not an extremist white nationalist group. It doesn’t matter how many times the left repeats that narrative. What the alt-right DOES value is preserving the white race, which is seeing birth rates fall dramatically. If it were any other race, there would be widespread concern.

And why does this document being posted on a site regarding Trump negate it’s viability as evidence?

Nice try, BBC. I’m not buying it.

When feminists turn on each other

The Intergroup Relations Program at UCLA held a dinner with students to address and discuss their concern that feminism has ties to white supremacy.

According to The Daily Bruin, the student newspaper of UCLA, students decried the lack of “intersectionality” in mainstream feminism. For the uninitiated, intersectional feminism is defined by a 1989 textbook incorporating the diverse plight of women across different demographic backgrounds.

The view that women experience oppression in varying configurations and in varying degrees of intensity. Cultural patterns of oppression are not only interrelated, but are bound together and influenced by the intersectional systems of society. Examples of this include race, gender, class, ability, and ethnicity.

The Daily Bruin spoke with several students who attended the event, including Celia Cody-Carrese, an intern with Intergroup Relations Program. She spoke specifically of her concerns that feminism has ties to white supremacy, arguing that the word “feminism” typically conjures up images of white women.

Cody-Carrese said the organizers chose white feminism as the topic of Wednesday’s event because they think feminism has traditional ties with white supremacies. The organizers wanted to give students the opportunity to discuss the topic and break the stigma.

Intergroup Relations leaders discussed how celebrities approach feminism. Some asked the group what the difference was between the empowerment messages in Taylor Swift’s vs. Beyonce’s music.

Some students said they thought Swift’s music does not have the same impact as Beyonce’s because of her privilege, even if her music has messages of empowerment. Conversation later spread into European patriarchy as an instrument of subjugation during the colonial era in world history.

Anna Yeakly, the director of the Intergroup Relations Program explained that white feminism was a topic that was chosen by the students themselves: “White feminism was a topic suggested by the students, based on their interest in discussing the issue of intersectionality that is often left out of conversations about feminism,” Yeakly said.

Cody-Carrese also claims that it’s the group’s intention to create a space on campus where students can discuss overlooked topics. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that Cody-Carrese has any interest in promoting the discussion of conservative and libertarian topics, which are significantly overlooked at progressive west coast universities like UCLA.

I think the article speaks for itself. When feminists can’t find an enemy on the right that’s oppressing them, they gun for each other and discard their white members. Even Taylor Swift. I may not like the girl, but really?

SJWs always lie. SJWs always double down. SJWs always project. Do they also turn on each other at the end of the day? I think that answer is yes.

Maybe the students of UCLA can combine student loan income forces and purchase a ticket for these young ladies to go to Egypt. They can learn the real meaning of female oppression. Or better yet, they can give up their spot at university to someone less privileged than themselves. But then again, we have to remember that universities will let in just about anyone these days. So it’s no real sacrifice. Especially when there won’t be a job to fit in line with their “blank” studies degree. At least not one that will provide the 40k needed to pay off the student loan debts.

Then again, their boss might be a white male. They might not take the job. Too much patriarchy asking them for real skills in the workplace.
