How of Do You Know?

Feels so good, when you're doing all the things that you want to do
Get the best out of life, treat yourself to something new
It's a really good thing to say
That I won't change my life, my life's just fine Mary J Blige

I was having a conversation with a very dear friend of mine last night, normal convo between friends about the day and how things were going. She said I have a random unrelated question
"how do you know when it is time to give up on a dream and go get a normal life or job?"
"Dude, who gives up on a dream and live a normal happy life though?"
"Well it seems as if things are not working out"
"Seems is the best word you said in that sentence"
"If you want to give up on your dream then perhaps it is not your dream to begin with"
"What about family pressure and societal contructs, do they influence one's dream?"
"If you want it to yes"

I started to reflect on my own dreams and my own visions. Sometimes I really do feel like packing it all in, especially when I am in a financial bind or when I am comparing my progressw to others, then it seems as though I get a second win, I get still and refocus.
What I have learned from this process is the power of surrender. To do the work, have the faith and then let it go. The dream you dream is a path. The Universe sometimes dream a bigger dream for us, bigger than we can ever imagine. And it always works out. The lesson is in who you become on the journey, the qualities that are revealed. The persistence, the discipline, the faith, the belief, the feelings, the healing. They all come on the journey to the dream!

Peace

Work With Them to Gain Wisdom

We are suppose to learn from our negative emotions. Get to the root of the issue and transmute the energy into discernment and action. What do you need to do? If we ignore our negative emotions by suppressing them deep into our subconscious minds or we continue to feed them with negative mind chatter, blame and victim consciousness - we will create our own personal hells on Earth, our own states of hell consciousness, and then we will attempt to drag everyone down with us. Negative emotions are alarm bells. They are warning signs for us to generate change. Wake up and be conscious of your own negative emotions and work with them to gain wisdom. Then you can tap into a higher level of discernment where you can utilize the strength of your inner will to release any attachments that may no longer serve your highest good . -Sabrina

A combination of suppressing  our negative emotions and not being conscious of our thoughts is really not a very good idea!I'm just sayin'!
Find a way to express them  - in a healthy way, of course.
Find a way to learn from them.
Get the wisdom.
Get the lesson.
Do you know who and what are your tests and triggers?
Who gets you mad as soon as they open their mouths? When you watch the news what do you find yourself swearing at on the screen? What triggers you to act a fool? To say after your actions - Damm I really ought to have known better. Or to swallow your pride and apologize.
What pisses you off?
I know who and what are mine. (yes I said who!, some people push my buttons, I ain't scared to confess!)
I started paying attention to my triggers.
I keep asking "what are you here to show me? to teach me?
What can I learn from this? do I want to be this person?
What needs  healing and attention?Trust me, I am no enlightened master, sometimes I just get mad vex and buss a cuss or two silently under my breath or I vent with some of my friends (bless em for being so kind and patient) then I go back to asking myself the questions and pray that this reaction becomes less and less the norm.Attachment of how "it is supposed to be" is one of our biggest challenges but I have learnt when we let go, keep an open mind, the result is astounding. This is not saying do not have goals, visions, vision boards, these tools on the Journey help to move you to possibility thinking, to cultivate the seeds in your mind, to be receptive to more, to another way.
Do not get attached to the idea of what you think it is supposed to be, you really do not know.
The journey requires it for the adventure to be enjoyedPeace

Thoughts Are Things

Our thoughts literally create an energy frequency around us magnetizing those things we spend energy thinking about into a self-fulfilling prophecy Sabrina Reber

Self-Awareness is the first step towards not only knowing one self.
Self -Awareness is a critical part of transformation.
Self Awareness comes when you are conscious of your thoughts.
Thoughts create things. That is to say, what you are thinking most about becomes a reality. You don't have to believe this or even understand this, it is a Universal Law
Think of Gravity, you know what goes up, must come down.  You don't need to understand it nor agree with it.
So when we are unaware of your thoughts, look at what shows up in your life. That is quite sobering. You must take responsibility. There is no one and nothing to blame. It is only to give you feedback to move, to leave, to grow, to transform, to stay, to change, to take responsibility and most important of all, to be grateful
So what have I learnt?
Pay attention to your thoughts
Write them down to start the process of being aware
When the negative thoughts feel overpowering,  acknowledge it, (hi there you) then change it, cancel it, sing a song, say an affirmation. Dwelling on negative or destructive thought over and over and over again serves to make it manifest something in reality be it an illness, a pain, a situation! Trust me I lived it!
Dwell not!
Become self aware
Peace

Be Happy For Others

Comparison to others is an act of self sabotage - Iyanla Vanzant

Confessions on the journey. I have been angry for a few weeks and it seems to be getting worse. Why? Comparing myself to others. Yes I have been doing that. I have been seeing a few peers doing their thing on their journey. Some doing great things, some doing wonderful and marvelous things and I was becoming angry and at times jealous.

I have learnt that jealousy happens when you want what you believe other people have and it also happens when you are not happy with your present situation so rather than take the time to do the work, that time is taken up being angry and comparing yourself to others.
I have also learnt that it is a normal feeling however our responsibility - ability to respond- is the difference in taking it positively or not.

So I have decided to use it for a good and get off my bum! To work, have faith, believe and push to realise the dream and most importantly to let go after I have done all that I could knowing that the Universe usually has an even bigger and better purpose for all of us than we can ever imagine.

I also vow to be happy on others' success because there is room for all of us!

Peace

It must be what you want

Healing does not come from anyone else. You must accept guidance from within. The guidance must be what you want, or it will be meaningless to you. ACIM
I now believe that we are responsible for our own lives  and I have now received this asa blessing.             Responsible - making the choice to respond, having the ability to respond.  If we all have the choice and ability then we can all make the change. That is how I have broken it down to keep it simple. I totally get and love  simple.Of course things will happen that we have absolutely no control over but what a blessing it is to have the choice and ability to respond to the situation.Healing does not come from anyone else, - you must accept guidance from within -you and the Universe in tandem. Healing here does not refer to only sickness, it can be a guidance on moving to a new place, getting into a business, a new job, a relationship, a different mindset. It must come from within and it must be what you want. Not what anyone else wants for you or from you.You must be willing and have an open mindThink about all the times you have blocked your own blessings  and your own answers  due to fear. It must come from within and it must be what you want.It will not come from a new handbacg, a new gadget. It will not come from a new car.It will not come by hiding it and pretending it does not exist. It will not come from a relationship. It will not come from burying one's self in their work.It will not come from multiple partners. It will not come from depending on anyone else to make you whole. It must come from within and it must be what you want.
It really is just that simple.Peace

Harvest Time

“One of the greatest challenges in creating a joyful, peaceful and abundant life is taking responsibility for what you do and how you do it. As long as you can blame someone else, be angry with someone else, point a finger at someone else, you are not taking responsibility for your life.”
—Iyanla Vanzant

It takes a Goliath of a spirit to claim the responsibility for one's irresponsible behaviours.
Most choose to defend self, explain self, with a desire to be more desirable based on justification.
Reasons.
Excuse. This is a personal statement. Directly from me to you.
Something has guided me to the possibility that sharing this message today may be of some semblance of use, to somebody. You see, putting self aside leads to backups,
backups lead to blockages, & blockages lead to most of the challenges that we face regarding our health (mental, spiritual and physical).
There is a clinical difference between putting something aside & letting something go.
So today I am letting go.
This year, I am letting go.
I am letting go because I don't want to carry anymore stowaway energy or emotion into my future.Do you continue to carry those thoughts & feelings that haunt your development?
This is a time of choice,
This is a time of alignment & assignment of future perspectives.
Start as you mean to go on.
& remember that you chose what to keep & what to put down.
Remember, for this is a year of responsibility.
This is a year of ownership.
This is a year of acceptance, for this year will not be controlled.
This year will make many things manifest.
A year of harvest.
Which seeds have you sown? Flo

You are the Light

Light always serves a purpose, it directs ships to safe harbour, it illuminates our path, it can lead the way, it purifies, it exposes hidden dangers, promotes clear vision and if legend is to be believed it even repels, vampires, goblins and foul fiends that try to daunt the spirit. Paula Mae-Weeks, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

The 6th President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago was sworn in yesterday.
The 1st woman President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago was sworn in yesterday.

The 1st woman President of the country I am blessed to call home. I was here to witness it and even more blessed to have the opportunity to attend with my grandmother and mother, we saw history in the making.

The event raised in me all manner of pride! My pride levels were all sort of high!
A woman who earned this on merit. Confident in her approach and real in her delivery, everything that I know is required for a light bringer, a warrior of light! And her speech, so on point. It resonated with me down to my soul.
Inspiring me to continue to be a light, to do what I can, to have faith and work hard because without the two in tandem the job is harder, almost impossible.
What is even more amazing is in my grandma's lifetime this never seemed possible, there were not even toilets in workplaces which were exclusively for women. Progress is happening as we continue to press for it. We must take this opportunity and make the most of it knowing that we bring the light, we are the light.
Peace

Take a Moment

LAZINESS : Many would say, “Oh I am not lazy, I am very busy.” And yes, that may be true….many of us are very busy doing everything we can to avoid the inner darkness within that we need to transform so we can claim our LIGHT. We are busy doing what the ego wants us to do, or even what other people want us to do – but we are LAZY when it comes to our spiritual practices, the disillusionment of our egos and the awakening of our divine consciousness. Raising Your Consciousness

What are we busy doing? Or maybe what are we being lazy about?
I asked myself that question today and got still to listen for the answer.

I am busy avoiding my feelings. Yes I am.
I excuse it away with talk such as "I am good" or "God's will be done" or "When it's time" or "It's not my fault" or "This is not for me" All of which are hog wash really, they are lazy excuses to not deal with the issues or to procrastinate dealing.
What happens with that approach is that the issues drag on and, in my case, my health gets affected.
Getting to the moment of action is a start.
A moment of silence can sometimes be action.
A moment of taking responsibility is taking action.
A moment of prayer is taking action.
Whatever it is, take a moment to transcend the lazy or busyness
It will definitely come in handy and serve you well
Peace

Love Yourself Enough To.....

It is unloving to ask people to do anything that they have demonstrated to you that they are unwilling or cannot do - Iyanla

Love yourself enough to know when it is time to leave - leave a job, leave a relationship, leave a situation.
Love yourself enough to take action when you know action must be taken
Love yourself enough not to eat the foods you know are unhealthy to your system on a regular basis
Love yourself enough to not fill up your system with substances which numb you to what is the reality that you must face
Love yourself enough to say NO
Love yourself enough to say YES
Love yourself ebough to know that you do not always have to be "right"
Love yourself enough to treat your body with reverence and care - it is where you live while you are here on this plane
Love yourself enough to get enough rest
Love yourself enough to follow your intuition
Love yourself enough to speak up
Love yourself enough to not compare yourself to anyone else- you are divinely and uniquely made
Love yourself enough to not settle...due to fear and societal constructs
Love yourself enough to stop making excuses and blaming others
Love yourself enough to take responsibility
Love yourself....through it all...Love yourself..

Peace

Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway

Making more money isn’t about some whiz/bang/boom strategy du jour. It’s about feeling safe in your self, feeling safe in your choices and knowing that no matter what… you got this and you won’t die.Going live on Facebook won’t’ kill you.Figuring out the “tech” won’t kill you.Making an offer won’t kill you.Heck, even getting rejected won’t kill you. But… staying the same… not changing… that is slowly killing your purpose and your soul . Mastin KippMastin Kipp has a theory that blocking one's own financial improvement is linked to unhealed emotional trauma. I was digging this theory, it resonated with me in some way because it is linked to fear, not wanting to do something new for fear of hurt, rejection, uncertainty and perceived imbalance.Your nervous system does not want you to do anything new!Doing new things scare the crap out of me! Especially when it involves attracting crowds to events that I am responsible for.Luckily I have a group of sisters who "have my back" and are able to provide that support right on time. Having read Kipp's perspective I am inclined to think that this fear has permeated into my system and it is real! The struggle is indeed real.So what do I do? Feel the fear and do it anyway, lean into the support that is always readily available and know that it's all good! The nervous system feels threatened with a new thing and wants to head back into a comfort zone. That is normal.None of the things I fear doing will kill me, I will learn the lessons and know that this too shall pass. So will you my lovies!PeaceGet the Journal Herehttp://www.lulu.com/shop/akosua-darda...
