ExcerptI washed up and had just enough time to tug on a clean tank and thong and then climbed back into bed. I heard his footsteps. Excitement and relief washed through me. A small part of me feared he might have changed his mind, but my insecurity vanished the second his chiseled face appeared from the darkness. His shirt hung open. He folded his arms across his chest and casually leaned against the wall, studying me like the MRI images he methodically memorized before each surgery.“You moved?” His lips parted into a half grin, and he shook his head disapprovingly.“You took too long.”“You put clothes on.”“You might need some new clothes.” I smiled.“You’re fucking beautiful.” Speechless.
heartdividerPost About the AuthorsYep. That's an “s.” There are two of us! We’re East coast girls separated by Long Island Sound who met in Physician Assistant School and have been besties ever since. We can safely say that thirteen miles of water does not get in the way because we talk or text, no exaggeration, at least 150 times a day. No, really, we do—about everything and nothing. Shockingly, we never (we mean never) run out of things to say. Umm, ever. We definitely laugh A LOT and we’re a tad sarcastic. And if we’re being totally honest, one or two people might have, on occasion, used our names and ‘dramatic’ in the same sentence. But it’s hard to trust the sources since they married us. It only took twelve years, two husbands, five kids, two dogs, and a two-week vacation in Cape Cod later to decide the romance world needed a splash of medicine. Write what you know. So you can easily find us at 4 o'clock on Bank Street beach with a glass of cold Prosecco brainstorming. And guaranteed if we bump into you, literally, it’s only because our iPhones are glued to our hands (totally out of our control) either writing or editing our next novel (and yes, it is possible to do from your iPhone, we mastered it … damn those straight quotations). When we are not working on our book or reading the latest angsty romance on our kindles, you basically name it and we have it going on. Soccer, lacrosse, golf, swimming, dance, gymnastics, football, chess, baseball, basketball, skiing, ice skating, school, homework, and more school. Oh yeah, did we forget to mention our careers in medicine?Needless to say, we realized fast that something had to go, so we opted for sleep. It’s completely overrated (yet so AMAZING) and delirium makes everything funnier. Good thing we share a brain and can pretty much complete each other’s sentences (definitely weird, we know), otherwise it might have taken us two years to write Beautifully Awake rather than one. So that’s our story, who we are … just add AUTHORS to the list!Connect with the AuthorsFacebook | Website | Twitter | Goodreads

Tears for Tess by: Pepper Winters Review

Tears for Tess by: Pepper Winters
Amazon I GoodReads

For starters, let's take a moment to look at the cover. Simply beautiful, and it fits in perfectly with the story. A hint of sexy, dark, edgy, mysterious and simple. I personally can't stand when a book cover has so much going on that it takes away from its primary purpose-advertising the story. Let's face it, the vast majority of readers (myself included!) judge a book by its cover. This one is a book I'd pick up when perusing my local bookstores as well as Amazon.com and any other websites. So, definitely a 5/5 Star score on the cover.

Once you get past the phenomenal cover, you get to the story.

Let me just say that Tears for Tess is not recommended for those who have issues of violence and hard-core sexual activities. It's pure and utterly raw… but at the same time… nail-biting and amazingly hypnotic!

I can't actually get around to putting into words how Tears for Tess made me squirm, gasp and chant "Good Lord" over and over again. When the book begins, we Tess who has the 'perfect vanilla ' life and goes away with her boyfriend for a romantic getaway but her life changes forever when she is kidnapped and sold to a total hottie named Q... who ultimately becomes... Well I can't tell you that :P You just have to find out for yourself.

God, this man... I have so many feelings for this man...

The characters were well developed, and you could really get into their minds. You got a feel for who they were based on how the author described them. Some scenes were hard to get through, but not due to poor writing or a bad storyline, but because of the heavy emotion and being drawn into the story so much that the reader really feels they are there. You will hurt when Tess hurts, and you will cry when Tess cries, and you will shiver during the incredible pulse racing sex when Tess does.

The story was hard to put down, fast-paced, and keeps the reader engaged through the whole story. Not a dull moment anywhere. The only negative I have to share is that I haven't yet read the next one, and I selfishly want more of this story!

Claimed by: Stacey Kennedy Review

Claimed by: Stacey Kennedy
Amazon I GoodReads

Claimed was hands down the most utterly EROTIC story I've ever read. If Fifty is a 10, then Claimed is a freaking 15! Claimed is UNLIKE every "similar to Fifty" book I've read. It's so much more, the characters are so much more, the story is so much more.

With that said, I really loved this book and for as many as I've read, that's really saying something. The writing was crisp, clean, free of anything unnecessary or frivolous and contained very few errors.

There was a great deal of sex in this book and I enjoyed it all, but what I also enjoyed was the way all of it felt necessary. Each sexual act brought something deeper to the storytelling, some new nugget of information that helped me, as the reader, delve deeper into the devolution of Presley. I call it a devolution because what Dmitri was doing was what any good Dom does, he was breaking her down to her primal self! It isn't until later, after they both realize that Presley is more than her body that an actual evolution begins. And let's go back to the sex, holy batman! I mean it! Holy BATMAN!

This was so dang hot, I am seriously surprised my kindle made it through the heat! Get ready ladies, and for the love of God don't read this in public, do everyone a favor, read it at home, with about 3 dozen pair of back up panties. Trust me. I'd never steer you wrong.

What a hot, exciting, emotional book. Sure some of the scenes made me uncomfortable but isn't that what a great book should do? Make you feel for the characters, for the situations. If you didn't feel some attachments you would not care what happens to them.

This was my first book from this amazing and creative writer. I enjoyed this refreshing and different story. I will defiantly be buying more of her books they are worth every penny.

Claimed is not a buy now, it is a freaking MUST READ NOW! Do not let another day pass, read it NOW! And when you finish it, come comment below, I dare you to tell me Claimed isn't a 15 to FSOG's 10.

Oh... and for Dmitri.. Come here baby ;)
