Blurb
Eva Ford lives a sheltered life on her small rural farm. At twenty-two, she feels the need to spread her wings and start her own life, planning a trip to the city to show her prized cows. Colton and North McReed from the next ranch over are determined to make sure she stays out of trouble.
Twin brothers, Colton and North, have always loved little Eva. She's their rock in life, the one pure thing in their otherwise dark existence. Their abusive father ran out on the family years ago and their mother suffers from a serious addiction. They never look at Eva with desire...until they spend a week alone with her in the city.
Everything changes when Eva and the cowboys realize just how deep their love for each other runs. Once their passion is unleashed, it's impossible to contain. But can their unorthodox relationship last? Will sex ruin the friendship of a lifetime?
Excerpt
North was ready to brawl. In fact, he craved it like never before. Pain would be preferable to the ache in his heart. Somewhere along the line he began to see Eva as more than the sweet girl next door. Somewhere along the line he’d fallen in love.
What he didn’t understand was Colton’s sudden disinterest. Their feelings for Eva always mirrored each other’s. Half the time when he’d escape to the Ford house, Colton was already there. They’d come on the trip specifically to keep Eva out of trouble, but instead, his twin was turning a blind eye.
They ate dinner in silence. North watched the sky turn from blue to black, every darkening shade bringing his anxiety to a new level. She still wasn’t back. God knows what that cowboy was doing with little Eva. The thought of his filthy hands on her made his blood boil. He wasn’t sure how much longer he could sit still with his imagination running wild.
He was just about to bolt from his seat when the door to the trailer opened. Cool air flooded the interior and the sound of Eva clearing her throat made every live wire inside him suddenly lose power. He exhaled a nervous breath, glad she was at least home safely.
“Told you I’d be back in one piece,” she said as she hung up her cardigan. “There’s no need to go hunting me down. Seriously.”
She started to climb up into the loft.
“Where’s lover boy?” asked North, no humor in his tone.
“His name is Wade, and he just dropped me off, like a perfect gentleman.”
“That why he had his lips all over you?” asked Colton. His brother was just as unimpressed, even though he’d condoned the behavior.
“Hush you!” Eva slipped under the covers.
“You haven’t eaten,” said North.
“Wade bought me dinner.”
He ground his teeth together, stifling a growl. The sound of that man’s name on Eva’s lips made him see red. If he never heard the name again it would be too soon.
They secured the trailer and turned out the lights before joining Eva in the bed. He tossed his shirt and lay down on his back, staring up at the low ceiling. She was already comfortable, obviously not feeling the volatile energy keeping him awake. He kept as far to his side as possible, the cold wall of the trailer chilling his arm. Every time she shifted in the bed, he tensed.
“I’m cold,” she murmured, cuddling closer to him. The heat of her body scorched his bare skin. In a matter of days, everything changed for him. He wasn’t sure when it happened, but he wished he could go back to the way things were. Uncomplicated.
He tried to get away from her but he was trapped in the tight confines of the sleeping area. He held his breath as she ran her palm over his chest, over and over in small circles. Her touch had always been soothing—not so much anymore.
“What’s wrong with you?” she whispered against his neck. His eyes lolled back in his head. Even her fucking breath was sweet.
“Nothing. Go to sleep, Eva.”
“You’re acting weird, North. Is this because of Wade?”
He decided the cowboy was a safer topic than his changing feelings for her. “I don’t trust him.”
“Why not?”“Just don’t is all.” He rolled to his side and away from her. It didn’t feel right going to sleep on a sour note, but he couldn’t have this discussion now. Mrs. Ford was the one to teach him and Colton not to speak out of passion. It was always best to confront a person with a level head, after cooling off and replaying the events over in your head. He usually didn’t take the advice, but tonight felt like a good time to start.
“Will you two quiet down,” said Colton.
Eva pressed her body against his back. Why had he taken off his shirt? He needed layers between them—many, many layers.
“I know what I’m doing,” she said in a whisper. “You don’t have to worry about me.”
“I’d worry less if you spent more time with Bessie and Ruby than that drifter.”“He’s not a drifter.”
“Why you defending him?” he asked. “You act like you’re already an item.”
She kissed his shoulder. “I just want you to be happy for me, North.”
“It doesn’t matter what I think.”
“It does. You’re the one who taught me how to rope a calf, and even though it took me weeks to learn, you never got impatient. You protected me when Jameson’s dogs got loose.” She ran her hand delicately down his arm, her fingers lingering over the raised scars on his forearm. “You bought me a corsage when no boy asked me to prom. Remember when the three of us danced in the rain that night? My dress was covered in mud.”
“I remember.”
“Well those are just examples of why I love you so much. It doesn’t feel right doing anything without your blessing.”
He wasn’t sure he could ever give her what she wanted.

Trust by JC Valentine Cover Reveal
Book Title: Trust (Night Calls #4) Author: J.C. Valentine Genre: Contemporary Romance - Novella Release Date:Feb 14, 2014 Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions
"Following his divorce, Felix Sinclair vowed to never commit to a woman again...until he washed up on Poppy Montgomery's doorstep, proving that sometimes taking the road less traveled pays off. One night of passion promised a lifetime of happiness, but when Felix begins to grow distant, disappearing for long periods of time without an explanation, Poppy begins to suspect that Felix may not be as committed to her as he claims. They say the hardest part of love is trusting your heart to someone else, but Poppy is about to find out that sometimes the hardest part may be letting go."
J.C. Valentine is the alter-ego of Brandi Salazar, whose enjoyment of erotic tales of romance spurred her to branch out and create her own. Brandi Salazar lives in the Northwest with her husband, their wild children, and far too many pets. As a university student, she studies literature, which goes well with her dream of becoming an editor. Brandi entertains a number of hobbies including reading and photography, but her first love is writing fiction-in all its forms.
“Lucy, I’m home!” he called out in his best Ricky Ricardo impression. Dropping his tote by the door, Felix kicked off his shoes and hung his jacket on the peg nailed to the wall. He heard rustling in the kitchen and headed in that direction. “Hey, kitten, didn’t you hear…me…calling? What is all of this?” Pausing in the doorway, Felix soaked in his surroundings. The kitchen was lit by candles. Dozens of candles. They were everywhere. Clustered in the middle of the small table in the corner, dotting the countertops, on the shelf over the stove alongside jars of spices. Not that he was complaining. The soft, ambient glow made Poppy’s exposed ass look plump and firm. “Shit, baby, the maid’s uniform? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?” There really wasn’t much to it. There was the black cap with the white ruffles pinned to her hair, a mind-bogglingly short dress made of the same black and white material, and a pair of heels so tall he couldn’t process how she even began to walk in them. She was stirring a pot of something on the stove when he came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his face in the side of her neck. “Smells good,” he said against her skin, his lips slowly caressing her. “This is the dessert. Homemade vanilla pudding. Dinner is on the table.” It was? He’d missed it completely. But could he really be blamed? With Poppy standing there in nothing but a dress that exposed every part of her worth exposing, he wasn’t left with much of an attention span. “Mmm, I think I’ll have my dessert first.” His hand slid up to cup her breast, which was spilling over the cups of the dress, while the other went in the opposite direction. A moan ripped out of him as his fingers met her hot, wet flesh. “Shit,” he grunted, resting his forehead against her shoulder. He had barely touched her and he was about to lose control. He needed to calm down. Laying the spoon she was using to stir the pudding down, Poppy shut off the stove and turned in his arms. When she lifted her arms to wrap them around his shoulders, his hands met the naked, round globes of her very fine ass and he couldn’t resist pressing her up against him. “I was hoping you would say that.” It took a moment for Felix to catch up and realize that she was talking about his comment to skipping dinner and going straight for dessert. Taking him by the hand, she tugged on his arm. “Come with me. I have something I want to show you.” If it had anything to do with what was happening under that dress—which left absolutely nothing to the imagination—then he was all for it. The angels must have been smiling on him, because whatever it was she wanted to show him involved following her upstairs, giving him the perfect view of his most favorite parts of her. “Again, are you trying to kill me?” he asked as she led him into their bedroom. “Death is not what I had in mind for tonight.”

Saving Stella by Eliza Brown Book Blitz
After living the past six years of her life as a shadow of her former self Stella Morgan’s twin sister Sloan takes matters into her own hands, setting her quiet, reserved sister up with her friend and boss Brayden Brooks. But after the trauma of her past, can Stella ever trust another man? Can she overcome her demons to find her happily ever after?
StellaI can’t believe I actually did it. I asked a man to come to my home. I’ve never had a man here. Never. I must be crazy. What the hell was I thinking!! I can’t do this. Oh God, I should tell him not to come, that I’ve changed my mind. My palms were sweating, I was pacing around my bedroom flexing my fingers. I was sure I was going to throw up at any moment. Then I heard a brisk knock come from my front door. Oh Lord, he was here. I looked down at myself and realised I was still in my bra and panties I had put on when I got out of the shower, and nothing else. I called out in a shaky voice that I would just be a moment and hurried to find some clothes. I found a pair of comfortable leggings and a long sweater that sat just below my butt. Then I hurried to the door, stepping up to my tippy toes I looked through the peep hole, there he was, in all his masculine glory. I think I started to drool a little. I wiped my hand across my mouth just in case before opening the door. I stood there frozen in place, just staring at him. I felt a fool but I couldn’t make myself move. My eyes roved over his beautiful face, down his impressive chest that was encased in a long sleeved black t-shirt that looked a size too small the way it hugged his torso. I continued my perusal of his amazing body, he wore a pair of dark jeans that sat low on his hips, if he were to move just so I would catch a glimpse of the V that I knew led below the waist band of those jeans. He cleared his throat, effectively snapping me out of my daze. “Oh, I’m sorry. Come in.” I stepped back holding open my front door for him to come through. He was so broad that even with my back pressed against the wall his large bicep grazed my breasts on his way past me, my nipples stood to attention immediately. What was wrong with me! I can’t remember ever reacting like this to such a simple touch. An accidental touch at that. I closed and locked the door out of habit, before squeezing past Brayden’s large body to lead him into the main living area. I had a small apartment, I liked it like that, very basic. Dividing my kitchen and dining area from my lounge room was a half wall I had painted metallic silver, with photos and trinkets I had collected over the years sitting on the top. My heart felt like it would beat out of my chest it was beating so hard and fast. I had a man in my apartment, the realization took my breath away. I didn’t know what to do. My mind wouldn’t focus. It was racing a mile a minute. I had a man in my apartment. One I was apparently attracted to. That little revelation made my heart stop, and then take off at an alarming rate. My hand flew to my chest above my heart; I bent over and started heaving for air. This was not my first panic attack. I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to focus on calming myself down and slowing my breathing before I started to hyperventilate. Before I knew what was happening I was wrapped in strong arms being carried to my couch. If I listened really hard I could hear a strong yet kind voice murmuring soothing words in my ear. I began to relax into his hold. My breathing calmed and my heart beat slowed. I don’t know how long we sat like that. It could have been hours, it could have been minutes. I was spent. Panic attacks always left me exhausted. I curled into his warmth, and he wrapped his arms tighter around me. I’d never felt so safe. In that moment I knew, Brayden Brooks was going to change my life.
Umm ok her we go… 1- I am slightly obsessed with my characters. To the point that I dream about them, my dreams usually end up being scenes in my books. 2- I’m so behind the times with technology that I only just got my first ever iPad in August this year. Thanks to my awesome husband who got it for me just because he’s awesome. 3- I got married two weeks after I turned 19. My husband and I had only met 11 months earlier. But when you know, you just know, you know? 4- I have three incredibly gorgeous kids. A five year old daughter and my boys are one and two. 5- I had all of my children before I turned 25. Crazy you say? I agree! 6- Saving Stella was not the first book I started working on. But it is the first one that was just right. I refuse to publish unless I am 100% happy with where the story goes. 7- I never finished high school. I dropped out when I turned 16 to become a… wait for it… check out chic at our local super market. Ambitious right. 8- I have used parts of my best friend’s names in my characters names. The twin’s last name is Morgan that is also one of my best friend’s last names. Stella’s receptionist’s name is Bianca that is my other best friend’s first name. 9- I had a massive crush on my childhood best friend Braden. That’s where Stella’s leading man’s name came from. 10- It would appear that cleaning my kitchen brings out my muse. Many of the scenes in my books come to me while I’m doing the dishes and I have to run off and scribble them down in my note book before I forget. 11- One day while writing one of the more frisky scene’s in Saving Stella I was really getting into the groove when my one year old pulled a sneak attack and crawled up under my desk and started sucking on my big toe. Needless to say I was no longer in the groove. 12- My big sister is my biggest fan. She is also my editor. 13- I have worked in a lot of varied fields of work. I was a check out chic, I’ve done hairdressing, I was a receptionist for a remedial therapist, I have worked in a butchery and I had my own clothing and jewellery business. 14- My sweet mother has never read any of my writing, and never will if I have anything to do with it. She would have a coronary! 15- My hair is never the same colour for too long. I love to change it up all the time, keeps me feeling fresh. It’s currently the longest it has been in over 10 years! 16- I was 20 when I first picked up a novel. Stephenie Meyer started my love affair with books. That’s right, Twilight was the first book I ever read. 17- My husband believed I had an unhealthy obsession with the Twilight books, so when I was away one time he burnt them. His excuse was, he ran out of kindling. 18- I LOVE to travel. I have been to the South Island of New Zealand, England, Ireland, Scotland and Paris. I would love to go to the US one day. 19- My favourite movie is American Outlaws. Young Collin Farrel, Oh HELL YES! 20- I have two tattoos, a Celtic butterfly on my left hip bone and a cluster of three dragonflies on the left side of my lower back.
"I am new to the writing scene. I'm a 25 year old domestic goddess aka a housewife. I have three super energetic children aged 1,2 and 5. I live in Queensland, Australia. I started writing at the start of this year. Saving Stella is not the first book that I have written, but it is the first that I felt was good enough to publish."

Arranged Love Promo
Arranged LoveLacey WolfeRelease Date: January 20thBuy Links: Amazon | Nook | They think they’re fooling their parents, but really, the joke’s on them.
Kayla Ames’s parents could win an award in meddling. Every time she turns around, they’re setting her up with someone new. Try as she might, she can’t convince them to butt out of her love life.
Ryan Newell isn’t looking for love. After having his heart torn to shreds by his ex, he’s determined to never again fall in love and leave himself that vulnerable to being hurt. His parents, however, believe he just needs some help finding the right woman, and their friends’ daughter, Kayla, might be a perfect match.
Realizing they both have the same problem—parents who won’t stop nagging them about finding a partner—Ryan and Kayla agree to an arrangement of sorts. All they have to do is pretend to date, and they don’t even have to see each other, they can discuss the details of their “dates” via email. But then the email conversations lead to real dates, and Kayla finds herself struggling to keep her feelings for Ryan in check as he’s made it clear love will not enter into the equation for him. Then Kayla’s parents suddenly announce they’re getting a divorce, and she begins to wonder if maybe Ryan has the right idea.
When it all gets to be too much for Kayla, she has a hard decision to make—agree to stay with Ryan and never experience love, or walk away for her chance to find it.
Excerpt:Leaning forward, Kayla grabbed the remote and turned the TV off. It was early still and since she wasn't tired, sleep wasn't an option. She could go out again. Maybe call a friend to go to a club or something. Or she could go back to the bar from last night…no, no she couldn't.
If she went out though, she'd have to change. And she was really comfortable. She grabbed the remote again, and as the TV turned on, she swore she heard someone tap on her door. Was Bunny chewing on something she shouldn't be?
Kayla got off the couch, but saw the rabbit had taken a corner and was lying there, far away from the front door. She peeked through the peephole and, to her surprise, she saw Doug, or whatever his name was. Why was he there? And what was he carrying in his hands?
Taking a deep breath, she opened the door. "Hi."
"It's nice to see you again." He smiled an oh-so-sexy grin. "Your parents sent me with food. They insisted I get this to you right away."
"They did, huh?"
He held the bag out to her and she took it. "Could I come in?"
She sucked in her bottom lip and weighed her choices. Send him away and be done with this, or see what he wants. What did she have to lose? "Sure."
Doug brushed past her into her house. She stood back a moment, watching him as he glanced around and then finally took a seat on her couch. Kayla joined the mystery man in the living room, tossing the bag of food on the coffee table as she sat on the love seat opposite of the couch he was on. Her stomach rumbled as she inhaled the aroma from the bag now sitting on the coffee table.
"So, what brings you by, besides the food?" she asked, and quickly added, "Please tell me your real name as well. It's only fair since you know mine."
"Kayla, and it's a lovely name. Mine is actually Ryan. Ryan Newell." He took a moment to rub his temple and proceeded. "Obviously, our parents are interested in us hooking up."
Hooking up…they'd covered that already. "I'm sorry. My parents are a bit over the top."
"I'd have to agree. Yours are a little worse than mine. Usually my parents leave me alone, but with your folks, it was like they were double-teaming me. They feel very strongly about you and I getting to know one another."
"Figures. I'd say we accomplished that in a way they probably weren't wanting."
He grinned again. Her heart fluttered. She needed to pack this man up and get him out of there.
"Why don't we give them what they want?"
What did he say? He couldn't really want to go along with them. "Excuse me."
"Let's date, for them. It'll get them to leave us alone."
She laughed. He wasn't serious, was he? "Brilliant plan, but I'll pass for now."
"Just hear me out. I'm not looking to fall in love. But if we pretend to be dating, our parents won't try to set us up anymore. We don't even have to see one another. We can discuss our dates and be on the same page with our stories."
"Wait." She held her hand up, staring at the dark-haired man that made her stomach do summersaults. "You're saying we aren't going to actually date. We never have to see one another. But our parents will think we are."
He nodded.
"I'm in." Kayla shrugged. "What could go wrong?"

Saying goodbye for the second time might just destroy them both."
"I live in the Coolest Little Capital in the World (a.k.a Wellington, New Zealand) where I've yet to be buried under my to-be-read book pile by our infamous wind—my Kindle's a lifesaver! Married to a wonderfully supportive IT guy (who doesn't mind cooking dinner while his wife mutters to herself and hammers away at the keyboard), we have two teens who would love to be surgically linked to their electronic devices. As a teenager I devoured novel after novel in my maths class, which explains why I still don’t understand using the alphabet in equations. I discovered a stack of tattered paperbacks hidden in my mother’s wardrobe featuring scantily clad women wrapped around bare-chested hunks. Who needs a pimply-faced teenage boyfriend when you can have book boyfriends, right? So as a child I got my first taste of Happily Ever After in fairy-tales, but after reading romance—I was hooked. Fuelled by copious amounts of coffee, I'm now the author of contemporary romantic fiction set predominantly in New Zealand. Small-towns, close communities, and families are a big part of the heart-warming stories I love to write. Oh, and hot, down-to-earth heroes—real Kiwi men, in other words. When I'm not writing, thinking about writing, or procrastinating about writing, I can be found reading sexy books of all romance genres and nibbling on smuggled chocolate bars. What? You were expecting me to say free-dive training, hiking the world-famous Rakiura track on Stewart Island, and restoring classic cars? Nope, sorry. I'll leave such excitement to my characters as they explore their worlds and find the love of their lives."
Red alert. Red alert. Her next inhale stopped halfway down her lungs and her nipples budded into two hard points of Ohmigod-yes-please. She raised the tip of her chef’s knife and pointed it at his nose. “Keep your hands to yourself, Westlake.” His gaze flared hot. “What if I don’t want to?” He took two slow steps sideways, two steps closer to her. “What if I’m tired of playing your game of ‘there’s nothing going on here.’” The knife in her hand swiveled to follow his cat-like movements.
“I don’t play games. And FYI there is nothing going on here. Nothing I’m interested in pursuing, anyway.”
Another step and he rounded the corner, crowding her backward until her butt hit the counter. He rescued the knife from her shaking fingers, laid it on the chopping board, and left his hand resting there, effectively trapping her.
“Liar, liar, pants on fire,” he murmured. She shoved a hand against West’s chest to stop him coming closer, but all that achieved was runaway tingles up her arm from the hard, hot muscles beneath his shirt. He leaned into her fingers and the rapid bump of his heartbeat throbbed against her palm. Close enough to see her own reflection in West’s eyes, she froze when his pupils shrunk to tiny dots. His nose twitched.
“Something’s burning.” Yeah, something was burning, all right. One more touch, one more second of him looking like he planned to do her on the kitchen counter and she would either catch fire or do something absurd like kiss him again.

I was born in Houston, Texas in 1977, to an interesting family. My mother and father separated when I was young. I lived with my mother who later remarried a wonderful man, who had a huge impact on me as I grew up. I have always had a love of reading, mostly paranormal. As a child, I would sneak up at late night, when my mom thought I was sleeping, to read. We moved around a lot, eventually settling in Deep East Texas. I married at a young age and eventually divorced. I have raised my now 16 year old son alone. I work full time as a pre-hospital nurse and sometimes see things that would make the rest of you have nightmares. On other days, I'm blessed to see miracles. These things are what drive me to write. I describe my job as- “I fight to save people’s lives. Sometimes I lose, sometimes I win. It's the emotional roller coaster of that job, which leads me to writing. I'm able to put those emotions into my characters and let them out of my heart and soul.” In late 2006, early 2007, I was diagnosed with a rare disease, shortly after that I was told I would be on full disability in five years and most likely to be dead in ten. I've fought to live a normal life every day since and I'm beating those odds. I work at a demanding job, I'm a single mom, care for an elderly mother, and two hyperactive dogs. On April 17, 2013 I faced another challenge in my life when my home was destroyed in the explosion in West, TX. I lost many friends and almost everything I own. Once again I have fought to get through it and I'm finally starting to feel normal again.
We walked to the front door, the guard tried to refuse, but that wasn’t going to stop me. I caught myself rolling my eyes; a mere mortal to guard against me and a wolf. At first, I was just going to toss him with magic, instead I grabbed him by his arms and drug him to me, sinking my fangs in deep, in a matter of seconds I had drained him, killed him. It was my first kill that way. I didn’t care, he was helping hurt my family. Cortne didn’t say a word. If she only knew how much more blood I wanted. I felt like I was starving. It had to wait though, I had to get my family. We took the stairs but disabled the elevators before leaving the lobby. We quickly and easily cleared floor two, where I drank from two more, until Cortne stopped me. This repeated through floor twelve. We’d clear it and I’d drink two people to near death before Cortne would stop me. On eleven she finally asked, “Damn, haven’t you had enough yet?” “No,” I answered as we stepped into the stairwell and headed up to twelve. I opened the door and froze. I smelled blood. Blood I recognized, three actually, Clayton, Caleb and Josh. It took a conscious effort not to just level the place. I knew if I did, I may very well kill them. Instead, I reached for Josh. “Josh?”

Stolen Grace by Arianne Richmonde Cover Reveal
Book Title: Stolen Grace Author: Arianne Richmonde Genre: Suspense/Women's Fiction Release Date: February 3, 2014 Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions
A marriage on the rocks. Their little daughter caught in between. And a woman who will stop at nothing. Sylvia and Tommy Garland and their five-year-old daughter Grace have moved from the bright lights of New York City to the peaceful wilderness of the Wyoming countryside. But with the recession on their heels, Tommy leaves for LA for a job interview, and Ruth, an old friend of Sylvia's comes to stay. In an unexpected turn of events, a family tragedy forces Sylvia to leave Ruth in charge of little Grace for just one day. A decision that will tear their lives apart. Stolen Grace is a roller coaster of emotions with twists and turns, a tale of lies and deception, of redemption and forgiveness. And ultimately, a love story.
Sylvia sat uneasily at the edge of the silk-backed bed and kicked off her shoes. She needed to do this. She needed, just for a snatch of time, to escape. She needed to help him too—give him strength. She inhaled the scent of him and rested her head against his shoulder. He smelled of sweet grass and sun- warmed skin. He unzipped her dress. His generous hands slipped around her waist and moved up the length of her body, then stroked her back. She shivered. His fingertips caressed her skin and she closed her eyelids—a twirl of colors swam beneath them: red, twinkling green. She could hear some birds tweeting outside the bedroom window, perched on the weeping willow tree and, as one flew past, the shadow darted across her colored vision, just a second, just a flash. Tommy continued to stroke her—his touch tender. Warm.
She remembered how much she loved this man. How she ached for him. How much she desired him physically.
He pushed the dress away from her shoulders and it fell in folds about her waist. He pressed his hand under her white cotton panties and cupped her crotch, lifting it a millimeter from the bed. She cried out. Taken aback, almost, by the tingling flurry between her legs. She had forgotten that could happen. She could feel herself moisten, and she wriggled out of her dress, letting it fall to the floor. His hands moved upwards toward her breasts, his touch soft, hardly there, letting a finger flicker on her nipple, quiet and restful. She turned herself around to face him, her legs straddled either side of his, the saddle of her thighs and bottom pressing against on his groin. He was rock hard. Bigger than she remembered. Her stomach pooled with desire and she heard herself moan quietly. They kissed. He tasted of sun and apples. She let her tongue explore his top lip, then his mouth, and felt the rough stubble of an unshaven face. He groaned and pulled her closer. She remembered how little they kissed these days, really kissed— deep, probing—and she remembered, too, how he craved that. She could feel the steady throb between her legs, and edging herself up on her knees, still straddling him, she offered his mouth her nipple. He licked it. Softly. The end of his tongue flickered like a glinting light. She let out another little cry. Her need for him, like a volt, made her push him to the bed. His head thumped on the puffed linen pillows and hungrily she unbuttoned his shirt, grappled the belt, reaching for the buttons of his jeans, feeling the rock that was his desire, the pulse in her groin rhythmical and hot.
She drank in his chiseled abs, the definition of his pectorals. She pulled off his pants, halfway. She kissed him on his muscular thighs, her head resting against his hips, her tongue and lips searching for his cock as she looked up at him, a monument of flesh and bone and blood and love. They needed each other. For the first time in years, they could really give to one another. They needed each other’s strength, each other’s weakness.
Being united was imperative right now.
“Come here, my angel, my light. I need you close to me.” He grabbed her, pulling her up toward him from the waist, placing her on top of him. Her toes tingled, and she heard him hold his breath for a second as she let him slide into her, her hands guiding him in. It felt huge, unfamiliar, as if it were her first time. She caught her breath at the smarting pain. It lasted a second and then it was over, her wetness welcoming the man she loved, the fit perfect. She had forgotten how well they slotted together.
She had forgotten that.
