When he called for me

his voice was soft and somber.

Making me rush through

the archive of my mind

to see if I had done

something before this moment

that could have made him

sound like he does now.

I came up with nothing,

so I followed his words

and made my way

to the side of his small

but enticing body.

But when I sat down

next to him, he said nothing -

just took my body into his

arms and after what felt like

hours spent in warm bliss,

he whispered “this is all

that I needed.”
