Mona was my first. Therefore, I’ll always have a soft spot...
Mona was my first. Therefore, I’ll always have a soft spot for her. I can’t help it. She’s the first character I’ve seen through to the very end. But Marina… there’s something about her that really gets to me. For readers, I know the two are completely different. You can connect with Mona, because it’s easy. She’s friendly and cheerful, but not a pushover. Whereas Marina is hard. Not to the core, but she’s just difficult, where Mona isn’t.
But for that reason, I like Marina and I hope you give her a chance. She’s definitely a book cover you judge but once you open it, you start to feel for her. I wish I could explain why Marina and I get one another, but I can’t. All I know is writing her story is one of the hardest things I’ve done yet one of the most fulfilling. I hope if you give Marina a chance, you enjoy the story. Feel free to drop me a message telling me what you think :)
Marina has never taken the easy road. Why should she, when she prefers a storm to a perfect summer’s day? But even for her, Marina’s life is in a mess and she knows it.
Too many wrong decisions have put her life in danger and the only way to safety is to embrace the past. But Marina moves forward, steam-rolling ahead rather than focusing on the mistakes she’s made; the mistakes that have brought her to this point. And while she is happy with her head buried in the sand, Nathan Conroy won’t let her.
He loved her once, could love her again, but for her safety, even if it causes her to hate him, he’ll do anything to protect her from the mess she’s in.
From big city living to a huge ranch in the middle of nowhere, Marina’s safety comes at a price. But to her the physical danger is no less frightening than the peril to her heart.
Can she rewind ten years to right the wrongs she once made? And even though the future depends on it, can she unbend enough to do just that?

I must say I am sad to see it end I wish there were more and the story could go on. Maybe something in the future and how there life is after all the drama but hey that’s just me HINT HINT HINT Serena Akeroyd lol.
All in all a great series and one I really enjoyed. Can’t wait to see what else she comes up with!

Here are just two snippets of some reviews on Can Be Gold and over the last couple of weeks, the 4 and 5 star reviews have just been rolling in.
For me, this was the easiest and the hardest part of Mona’s story to write. I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t started to read her tale, but it’s imbued with all the trials and difficulties I imagine a group of people who can fall in love together can have. Life as a trio must be hard, yet so rewarding.
It’s a little surreal, you don’t often come across these relationships outside of maybe porn flicks or erotica novels, but they’re out there. Polygamous partnerships do exist and personally, I’m quite jealous of Mona. If you read it, you’ll find out why! ;)
