Can Be Gold... an AWESOME review (Link)
People are saying, that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all… But what do you say, when you are so overwhelmed by emotions, so excited to have found a true gem among an ocean of sometimes mediocre reads, that you feel that words will fail you, regardless of what you are saying? Right now, this story for me has come to its natural end and I am so, so sad about this, I could cry… Don’t get me wrong! It ends beautifully, but I have to part ways with characters which grew on me… What are the right words to entice other readers into taking a leap of faith an…
You know, the reason I started writing was because I have a love for books and storytelling. Many of my own tales have popped up out of nowhere until I just had to write them down.
There are some books out there that make you cry, laugh and learn. And those are the kinds of stories I want to write. Today, I did that for somebody. It’s an amazing feeling.
A Bitch In Time is free today on Amazon and I guess I should be spotlighting that, but how can I, when this wonderful review popped up on my Goodreads dashboard.
Wow. I’m overwhelmed by how much my story touched this reader. What a great day to be me. :)

HAHA! There are many more things that are better, when they’re homemade! :) Lol. But yeah, real moans, no pneumatic blondes, cocks that don’t stay hard for hours on end… that sounds like a hell of a lot more fun than crappy acting and endless pounding.
Although, I guess guys don’t buy it for the acting or scripts ;)

Haha, this is me at the moment. I could sleep all day, all night...

So, I’m starting today’s blog with a kind of serious topic. But I’m pissed off and hey, what’s a blog for if I can’t vent? :D
I’ve watched a few of these videos, seen the dramatic reduction of already beautiful stars into unrealistic pin-up girls and I can’t help but ask:
Why?
Oh, I understand why the advertising companies want us to crave flawlessness. How can they peddle their wares if we don’t give a damn about how we look?! This entire beauty/photoshop thing is a guerilla warfare tactic that has gone global and turned into a war. And we need to think of it that way.
Watch this video and listen to the part where it says Kate Winslet’s thighs were reduced by a third! :O I mean, what?! Why? Why are we allowing this to continue? Why are governments not putting regulations in place?
Okay, women flogging their guts out as they strive for the impossible is good for the economy; women spend billions seeking what they’ll never find. But how much do eating disorders cost society? And this is a global issue and it’s cross-generational and it will bleed through our children until all women fear being a pound overweight and if they are, then they’ll hate themselves and the men will judge every woman they see for not being the epitome of what the advertising companies sell us. Phew, that was a mouthful!
I don’t get on my high horse often. But to be honest, this really pissed me off. Peddling perfection is a mean and spiteful marketing choice. And the sickest thing is… we’re all so damned used to it, that nothing will change and those who talk about it, are considered weird. Or feminists.
Hey, I’m just a woman. An imperfect creature with no desire to attain perfection. I’m okay. This stuff doesn’t affect me. I see it for the BS it is. But what about the women who do care? Because there are too many who do.
It’s a sad state of affairs, and I can end on only one question as well as a shake of the head: why are we allowing ourselves to be brainwashed?

Happy Birthday, Granddad!
Isn’t it strange… I lost my Granddad a long time ago; I still have memories, but I was only 3. His birthday is something I don’t forget, but I’m in such a muddle most of the time, I don’t know the actual date!
Today, I was listening to the Avril Lavigne song, “When You’re Gone”, a romance song really, not about love and I just started crying. The lyrics really touched me and just thinking about it, makes me cry more.
I never post birthday wishes on my blog; I’m not sentimental that way. But today, is a deserved first for a Granddad who loved me, who I lost too young but who hasn’t gone all that far… :)
Love you, Granddad X Hope you’re proud of me :)

For non-Spanish speakers, this translates to:

Of course, it’s in its rightful place, like always.
When a normal person loses something:
Shit, I’ve been robbed!
When I lose something:
Mummy!
Haha, lol. Had to reblog. Even if no one here speaks Spanish, it’s still funny! :P
