Roasted Garlic and Bacon Spinach Dip.
Creamy warm spinach dip made with roasted garlic, crispy bacon, and parmesan cheese. This dip was gone in minutes. Do yourself a favor and double the recipe!

Let me begin by telling you that the entire time I was making this dip last weekend, I was singing “when I dip you dip we dip” out loud, by myself, in the kitchen. In case you have no idea what I’m talking about, Da Dip is a 90s song by Freak Nasty.
I… don’t know what to say. Let’s change the subject immediately.
Last summer, I began working with Safeway on a few collaborations. They asked me to make a couple recipes using some of my favorite products from their grocery aisles. I made these chicken bites, then these ridiculously easy chocolate treats, and now… this dip to serve with pita chips. To be honest, I had no idea Nabisco Wheat Thins made pita crackers because I hadn’t seen them at any other grocery yet. I love their sundried tomato & basil crackers, so I had high hopes for Toasted Pita Crackers. The verdict? Love ‘em. We all did.

Dark Chocolate Key Lime Pie Truffles.
Smooth-as-silk key lime ganache filling enrobed in dark chocolate. These homemade truffles make me weak at the knees!
Today, 12 days before Sally’s Candy Addiction Cookbook‘s manuscript is due, I’m going to show you exactly how to make one kick-ass truffle recipe. I’ve been surrounded by truffles for the past three months (everyday I’m trufflin’) and have about 1 billion truffle recipe ideas in my head, on top of the 9 truffle recipes going into my cookbook.
Book recipe preview here, here, and OMG here.
You’d think I’d be sick of truffles by now. But, common. I don’t call it an addiction for nothin. Bring on the chocolate.
Here is exactly where this recipe idea came from. About 10 years ago, my friend Amy was telling me about these incredible dark chocolate covered key lime pie treats she had in Florida one time. Key lime pie is her favorite dessert. Instead of birthday cake each year, she has key lime pie. I put her favorite key lime pie recipe in cookbook #1.

Happy 1st Birthday Sally’s Baking Addiction Cookbook (Giveaway!)
I’m flipping out. How has it already been one year?
One whole year since Sally’s Baking Addiction Cookbook’s release. One whole year since March 1st 2014, the very day that my cookbook was NUMBER 2 on the cookbook best selling list on Amazon. What!? Thank you so much.
Writing my first cookbook gave me the courage to quit my job and do this baking/writing thing full time. It helped me connect with many of you in real life (thank you for coming to my book signings!) and catapulted me into the “scary” radio and live TV world. Um, remember this? I was so nervous. I can’t even watch myself. Maybe I’ll learn how to calm down in about 75 years or at least until my next cookbook comes out. (Currently writing Sally’s Candy Addiction, which is cookbook #2!)

Mocha Chip Biscotti.
Crunchy mocha flavored biscotti with chocolate chips, a chocolate dunk, and lots of hazelnuts. Have your coffee and eat it too!
Let me invite you into my coffee loving world. A world where my Keurig never gets a break, breakfast blend flows like water, the crew at DD know my coffee order (that’s embarrassing), and my french press gets more attention than the waffle maker on a Sunday. A world where it is not only acceptable to put coffee in cookies, but encouraged. A world where dipping said coffee flavored cookies into actual coffee is the norm.
Coffee drinkers, won’t you join me?
Ever since I made this chocolate dipped almond biscotti, I’ve been dreaming up new flavors. I never even liked biscotti until I tried making it at home. Dry, boring, crunchy, just… not my cup of tea coffee. But that recipe, full of flavor and dipped in chocolate, made me a biscotti believer. Maybe it’s all the chocolate. Or the coffee soaked goodness? Whatever I freakin’ love biscotti.

140 Calorie Cheesy Sausage Quiche.
A perfectly healthy, satisfying, gluten free meal. Enjoy a generous slice of this flavorful cheese and sausage quiche for only 140 calories. Bonus: it’s all prepared in one pan!
Today’s recipe is the meaty sequel to my very favorite crustless veggie quiche recipe. I just laughed out loud typing “meaty sequel.” That sounds very awkward.
Let me rephrase. Today’s crustless recipe is protein packed and full o’ cheese, sausage, lots of green pepper, garlic, a little spice, and everything nice. What it lacks in the crust department, it makes up for in taste. There is so much flavor!
The best part: you can eat a huge serving for only 140 calories.
I don’t usually post calorie counts for my recipes because I’m not a calculator and hello! It’s dessert! But when I prepare a healthful homemade meal for the two of us that takes such little effort and tastes so damn good, I get a little curious. When I calculated my veggie quiche only having 110 calories per serving, I knew I could make an equally (if not better!) meaty version sequel. It goes without saying that Kevin loved this sausage quiche. And I did too- I made it twice in one week.

Honey Roasted Peanut Butter Granola.
If you like peanut butter and honey, this easy homemade granola is for you.
After a weekend visiting friends in Baltimore, eating cupcakes, Easter candy, and Berger cookies (if you’re in Baltimore you KNOW) and drinking hot chocolate, mimosas, and cappuccinos… I’m ready for something on the healthier side today. Well, semi-healthy.
A little M&M never hurt nobody.
Today’s recipe is the sequel to my original trail mix granola. The most snacky, munchable granola of them all. The week I made that particular granola, I made two other varieties. And clearly, I’m taking my time posting each of them. Whoops!

Saturday Seven, 13.
Good morning! Instead of the usual Saturday 7 stuff, today I’m sharing 7 things about me that you might not know. Earlier this week, this happened, so I’m using today to get personal about my personal boring life on my personal boring blog. And if you think that’s against the rules you can’t sit with us!
1) Everyone always asks me how married life is. How is it treating you? How does it feel? Isn’t it soo different? We’re only 5 months in so far and, umm, maybe I’m an alien but it feels exactly the same as engaged life. Except there isn’t any wedding planning stress and I have a billion things to update with my new name.

Glazed Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake.
Sweet, simple, luscious glazed lemon poppy seed bundt cake to bring sunshine to even the coldest of your days.
It was 5°F over the weekend with a “real feel” of -8°F and 50mph winds. So I made the most cheerful dessert on the planet.
Sunshine in a bundt pan.
Sundress, flip-flops.
Roadtrips, best friends.
Windows down, music blaring.
Warm days. A girl can dream.
After apple pie, lemon desserts of any kind are my favorite. Not peanut butter and (gasp!!!!) not sprinkle-y things. Who am I? Don’t worry, they’re both a close third. Truthfully, my tastebuds belong to all things fruity. This lemon bundt cake’s flavor is divine. The lemon is so lemon-y, but not at all sour and eye-squinty. I made up way to many words in this paragraph.

Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Chewy edges, soft centers, a little sea salt, and ALL the Nutella in every single chocolate chip bite!
I meant to post these swirly twirly Nutella cookies yesterday, but something beginning with C and ending with andy is getting in the way of me having a normal schedule. But hey… at least there’s truffles. (that’s recipe 59 out of 75! Yeeeeeeah!)
I also feel I’m very late to the game making Nutella chocolate chip cookies. Are these soooo 2 years ago? Ugh in my world Nutella is always trendy.
These cookies are the bees knees. They’re a new favorite. From the chewy edges to the soft centers to alllllllllll the damn chocolate, it’s like magic exploded inside a chocolate chip cookie. And by exploded, I really mean swirled. Nutella swirls!
And this magic wouldn’t be possible without…
