Coffee Break.

coffee-in-seattle

Hello hello! Another coffee break to slooooooow down. I have so much to tell you. Grab your cup o’ joe, tea, cocoa, champagne (what?), etc and let’s sit down to chat.

Ok so first of all, I’m home! After 12 whirlwind days of book signing events and travel, I’m finally home. But not for long. I’ll be gone again this weekend for my friends’ wedding in California and all next week for book signing events in DC, Boston, and Baltimore. A lot of you have been asking where I’m going next or if I’m coming to your area, so stay up to date with my book tour schedule. I’ve been scheduling more release parties and signings.

When I’m in California this weekend, I won’t be holding any book signings because of the wedding. My friends are getting married in a redwood park! My excitement is out of control. Imagine all the glorious photos. Ahh! But don’t worry, Cali readers– I have book signing events and parties in both San Fran and San Diego this February.

Skillet Chicken with Creamy Lemon Thyme Sauce.

One skillet is all you need to create this crispy chicken paired with creamy lemon thyme sauce.

One skillet is all you need to create this crispy chicken paired with creamy lemon thyme sauce!

Ok so first of all, how was your weekend!? What did you do? Mine was all kinds of crazy. Two cities and two book signings in two days. But with chaos comes all sorts of fun. I plan to post a little recap of the book tour so far on my blog tomorrow, so check back for Sally’s Candy Addiction shenanigans.

I’m flying home today, but had to get this recipe up on the blog in case you were looking for a new dinner recipe. Ahh! So, I love this recipe. I made it 2 or 3 times before leaving for the book tour trip. It’s relatively healthy, full of lots of fresh flavor, and couldn’t be any easier.

Just another recipe to add to my growing savory section. Speaking of. Have you made my butternut squash mac & cheese yet? Because I’ve been craving it the past week straight. I even dreamed about it one night? What is my life.

One skillet is all you need to create this crispy chicken paired with creamy lemon thyme sauce!

Anyway, let’s talk about how the heck I came up with this recipe. Well, first of all– zesty lemon and fresh thyme go together like chocolate and peanut bu… ok that’s a total lie. But the flavor combo is a classic and tastes unbelievable with chicken. Today’s skillet chicken actually came from my skillet chicken with creamy cilantro lime sauce. Can we just talk about how that recipe has taken the world by storm in only 3 months? I’m blown away, but simultaneously not surprised at all by its popularity. It’s that incredible.

I have a very serious question.

Do you think mini muffins are 100x better than regular size muffins?

Apple Dessert Pizza with Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting.

Quite possibly the best pizza on the planet.

This apple dessert pizza with caramel cream cheese frosting is a show stopped! It's simple to make and it's all prepared on a snickerdoodle cookie crust!

Alright alright!

Here is yet another fall favorite for you. If it’s not the juicy, crunchy apple slices on top– it’s the caramel infused cream cheese frosting. Or the toasted walnuts. Or maybe even the SNICKERDOODLE cookie crust.

Pizza madness, I tell ya. Dessert pizza madness.

Book Tour News & a Huge Diamond Nuts Giveaway!

Diamond Nuts Giveaway

It’s the official Sally’s Candy Addiction book tour launch this week! I totally have butterflies in my stomach. I’ve been planning this tour for 6 months. And, in true form, waited until the very last minute to pack. I loathe packing. Don’t you? Or is unpacking worse? Yeah. It’s worse.

Anyway. My book tour actually began last week with a candy cooking demo (video recap here) and a few book signings in my hometown of Philly. Loved meeting so many readers who live in my area! And now I’m headed out for a 2 month tour around the country. This weekend: Seattle and Portland. Next week: Seattle again. Then Minneapolis and Denver. Then sleeping for 3 days straight before the next stop.

September in Photos.

September in Photos | Sally's Baking Addiction

A little late, but never forgotten. Here is September in photos!

September was a whirlwind. I did more in 1 month than the entire summer. And I had a very nonstop summer! In September:

✔️ I ran a Q&A meeting with other local Philly bloggers.

✔️ Spent a weekend in Cleveland for my friend’s 30th.

✔️ Celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary.

✔️ My dear friend Molly got married.

✔️ The most anticipated day of my career so far.

✔️ Taught a cooking demo.

✔️ Ate pumpkin cookies. Enough said.

And here I am today, ready to take off on my book tour. I have a feeling October will be even more epic. Let’s do this!!
