Easy Make-Ahead Breakfast Casserole.
Infinitely adaptable! Use your favorite seasonings, vegetables, meats (or make it vegetarian), cheese, etc.
I am soooo excited to share today’s recipe with you. It comes from my dear friend Kristen. She made it for us when I visited her in Baltimore last month. As I gobbled it down, I couldn’t stop saying “I have to share this on my blog, I have to share this on my blog, I have share this on my blog.” (Weird blogger life

Coffee Break.
I feel like we haven’t chatted in awhile. I share 2-3 new recipes a week, but I miss real conversation with you! Let’s change that. Because I miss you! And I really like coffee. And breaks.
Heck, while we’re at it– let’s add some pumpkin coffee creamer to that cup o’ joe. K? If you do not care for coffee, grab tea, a smoothie, heck- a cocktail! It’s ok, I’ll wait as you open that bottle of wine.
Do you know what I’ve been doing the past 2 months straight? Preparing posts for the rest of this year. I was baking pumpkin bars in July. Christmas cookies last week. I feel insane, but I need to get this done now or else my blog will have zip, zero, zilch on it while I’m on tour. And seeing all of these Fall and holiday recipes together, oh my gosh. GET READY for some truly incredible things. I honestly can’t pick a favorite but just to name a few: my favorite Thanksgiving stuffing, pecan pie, truffles, scones, cheesecakes, more snack bars (heck yes!), Fall cocktails, pumpkin cookies. And I have more posts in my baking basics series coming too. Not quite finished it all, but I’m almost there.
I’d like to say thank you to Kevin, my friends, family, in-laws, and neighbors for helping me taste test it all. Anywhere I’ve gone the past two months, I’ve brought baked goods with me. “Here, taste this! And this!” My plumber even got some pumpkin bars. And I sent our UPS man on his way with cookies. My life is so odd.

Homemade Pumpkin Coffee Creamer.
Made with real pumpkin puree, not pumpkin flavoring.
This ain’t my first rodeo. I’ve been making this pumpkin creamer for about 2 months now and I CAN’T STOP with it. I held off sharing it on my blog until it was more seasonably appropriate.
For the record, I consider myself seasonally challenged. For example, it’s 88 degrees and I’m wearing a sweatshirt. I don’t know? I also break out my flip-flops in March while similtaneously risking frostbite. I just get soooo excited for a change of seasons that things come a tad pre-maturely. I know. It’s weird.
I shared this pumpkin recipe a couple weeks ago on Delish.com. Did you see it there yet? And have you made it? I’ve mentioned it a few times since then, and now I’m ready to share some super fun details about this homemade pumpkin coffee creamer.
Who likes pumpkin flavored coffee? I feel like a majority of us are raising our hands. Mmm, especially on cool fall mornings after you first break out your fuzzy slippers.
We’re awesomely basic.

NatureBox Snacks Giveaway (2 Winners).
If you haven’t caught on by now, I love love love NatureBox. In fact, I have since I first discovered them last year. I was sent a free box and ever since then, I order a new box each month. My current favorite is the asiago & cheddar cheese crisps! Cheesy.
And the mini belgian waffles. Can you handle their cuteness? Because I can’t.

Saturday Seven, 24.
Hi! Another Saturday to spend together gushing over recipes.
What are you doing this weekend? It’s my friend’s 30th so I’m in Ohio celebrating. (I’ll be back in November, Cleveland readers!) Had a little surprise party last night and her reaction of sheer shock was hilarious. Happy birthday Ree!

Caramel Apple Cinnamon Scones.
Homemade apple cinnamon scones with crunchy tops, warm centers, and caramel drizzles. H-e-a-v-e-n.
Before I forget, I have a new post up in my photography section. Afternoons with Jude, pumpkin bars, art murals, and clothing freak-outs. You know, the typical stuff. Are you enjoying my photo blog so far? I can’t wait to share book tour photos there.
Moving along. So, here’s my first “it doesn’t feel like fall yet but I wish it did” post. By that, I mean I’m forcing fall into my household. I made cider over Labor Day weekend (I need need need to share that recipe soon), lit pumpkin scented candles, and even hung my leafy harvest wreath on the door. Hey, gotta enjoy Fall in my house while I can since I won’t be here for two months straight. I’ll be meeting YOU!
Hearts.
Scones of the caramel apple variety are here today. These gorgeous little numbers graced my breakfast table a few weeks ago when it definitely was still summer outside. If you’re not ready for caramel apple things just yet, hold onto these for a few weeks because they are something you have to try this Fall.

Funfetti Buttercreams & a Video!
Creamy chocolate candies overloaded with sprinkles. Soooo you know they’re awesome.
Remember these adorable pink and green candy sugar cookies? Well, I made yet another recipe to celebrate Sally’s Candy Addiction’s big release. The book will be here in only a few short weeks! The launch seemed a lifetime away when I finished the manuscript back in March. Oh my gosh, remember that day?? I’m a mess of emotions thinking back on it! And even more of a mess thinking about you holding it and (ahh) making recipes from it.
So many feels. Get it together, lady!
Anyway. Let me put a little pep in your step because I know the day back to life/school/real life after a long holiday weekend is such a drag. And does this mean summer is over? The unofficial official end of summer? Could today be any more depressing? Can I ask you any more questions?*

August in Photos.
Summer came and went quicker than you can say homemade cherry pie. Mmmk, maybe not that fast but wasn’t it memorial day, like, last week?
Onto a new Fall season. But first, here’s what I did in August. (For curious minds, see previous months right here.) Most of August was spent holed up in my house preparing for my absence from the kitchen over the next few months. Working ahead for my upcoming book tour has become the new norm around here. I just made Christmas cookies yesterday. Um, what is happeninggggg.
Ok, August. Tons of great food. Like homemade macarons.
Cheeeeeese.

Baked Lemon Herb Salmon.
Crazy simple, flavorful, 330 calorie salmon dinner made in only 30 minutes.
Friday already! Yessss. So the other night I did something really cool. I was apart of a Q&A session where a group of Philly bloggers from fashion and lifestyle to running and healthy living asked me questions about my social media strategies, recipe development, SEO, cookbook writing, and how I manage it all. (To sum it up: coffee.) Not only did I share my story, but I learned a wealth of knowledge from each of them.
If you’re a blogger, I highly suggest you look into meeting up with bloggers in your area. Grab coffee, meet for lunch, discuss strategies, whatever. There is so much to learn from each other in this very unique blog world. If you’re in the Philadelphia area, check out PHLBloggers. And inquire about becoming a member!
So about this baked salmon. Well, ask and you shall receive! Another healthy dinner recipe right here, right now.

Ultimate Snickers Cupcakes.
Fluffy and moist chocolate cupcakes pretending to be Snickers bars.
Since bikini season is pretty much over, I decided to bake something anti-bikini. Bring on the sweatpants and oversized sweaters, puh-lease.
Ok, that’s a total lie. I actually made these cupcakes last month but I knew you might be troubled with the temptation while trying to look your swimsuit best. So, I’m actually doing you a favor by sharing this completely ridiculous recipe with you today. A cupcake favor, if you will.
In true Sally fashion, here’s something totally unrelated to both snickers and cupcakes. Kevin and I celebrated this moment with a little Maryland style crab feast last week– I shared it in my photography section. Our smorgasbord was complete with crabs, old bay mac & cheese, cornbread served with buttermilk yogurt, ice cold brews, and bottomless corn on the cob. Have I ever told you how good Kevin is at picking crabs?? His talent is absurd and I’m obviously horrible at it. Are you good at picking crabs? My skills definitely remain in the cupcake world.
