Ha ha, only a choice few, and only b/c I told them after they graduated. One, in fact, is the cover model for Finding.

It's definitely not something I broadcast, but when students ask me about my life, I tell them honestly that I write. There have been a couple that take a genuine interest, and I always tell them that once they graduate, if they still want to read one of my books, that I'll shoot them the name of this "really great author that I think they should read", but that I'll deny any knowledge of knowing this person :0)

It seems a but over-dramatic and silly to be so secretive, but after the witch hunt that ensued a few years ago on a fellow author/friend/former teacher, I prefer not to take my chances.

Thanks for the question!(less)

“I was thinking of how, when we think of loss in our life, how our sense of ‘home’ was the first thing to go. You know, we lose that place of childhood innocence, of feeling protected. And so many of us spend the rest of our lives trying to reclaim that place called home, that life made simple again.”
Tabitha Vohn, Finding What Is

“Sometimes skin to ground [is] the most comforting place; nowhere to go but up.”
Tabitha Vohn, Finding What Is

“No one, she thought, had ever understood the nature of love…how love went beyond flutters in the heart, pining and yearning, or even beyond hatred and loathing. Love runs blood deep; permanent, inescapable.”
Tabitha Vohn, Requiem For The Fallen

“I wanted to hear what she was saying. I wanted to smell that burnt midnight again, I wanted to feel that wind. It was a secret wanting, like a song I couldn't stop humming, or loving someone I could never have. No matter where I went, my compass pointed west. I would always know what time it was in California.”
Janet Fitch, White Oleander

“The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.”

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for friend-ing me! Lol...I've come to hate that cover in a "what was I thinking" sort of way. There's a correlation to it and the novel but most people don't get it. One of these days, the paperbacks gonna get changed :0)
