This past weekend, I indulged a little and we went to TWO movies. First, date night with Hubby. We saw Maleficient and it was AWESOME. Sunday, we wanted to take The Spawn to X-Men, but there wasn’t a convenient showing so we settled for the new Spiderman movie, or as I like to call it…The Movie That Would NOT END.

No spoiler alerts here other than save yo...

April Blues

Hello all, I hope May sauntered into your lives with sunshine and smiles. I, for one, was grateful to usher last month out the door. April, for me, was a tough month. It’s not easy for me to admit that, seeing as I am usually the self-appointed emotional cheerleader in the room striving to encourage others, but it’s true.

Apparently even the best of us must set our pompoms down from time to time in order to gain some perspective.

And perspective is what I got. So, I thought I’d share a bit of i...

A Peek Inside The Writerly Mind

Happy Monday to you all! I’m backin Indiana, fresh from a trip to the Windy City this weekend. And shocker–the snow followed me there. (Seriously, will this winter never END?) Thankfully, I remained indoors the majority ofmy time in Chicago, cozying up with a few hundred other writers at the 2014 Love Is Murder Mystery Conference.

And while I don’t write strict mystery, I certainly gleaned a lot of information from both the speakers and all of the wonderful writers I met during my stay. Big na...

Armed With Steele and Super Bowl Commercials

I’m sitting at my computer tonight, trying to ignore the “lovely” weather Mother Nature has bestowed upon the State of Indiana once again. Seriously, ma’am, enough is enough! I have to believe there’s more than one Hoosier out there with guns locked and loaded while we wait to hear the groundhog’s prediction tomorrow.

Ah, but no matter what Punxsutawney Phil (www.groundhog.org/) does or doesn’t see on February 2nd, we can still tune in to wat...
