A New Cinderella Story! A Blue Tale by Sarah Dosher
Casey’s Thoughts
How many of you have watched the different variations of Cinderella? I mean there are millions. We all have our favorite, and as a child, just like Eli. Cinderella was always my favorite, and still is to this day! Now imagine instead of a glass slipper, you have a blue guitar, and the rest is history… well kinda!
Eli the daughter of rocker Kirk Savage. She grew up around rockers, but her dad did a fabulous job of keeping the truth about backstage, drugs, and groupies away from her until she was old enough to figure it out. As a child she found good in all people, but after being hurt she put up a wall. She is a confident young lady, who’s sucessful, and when she hears Deacon’s fingers graze his guitar for the first time, she knows he is something special. What she doesn’t know is how she saved him a long time ago.
Deacon, something about him made me him from the get go. I don’t know if I just saw honesty within his soul or if it was the fact that he’s had a hard life. I wanted something great to happen to him. I was and still am #TEAMDEACON. He’s got a past, and one that haunts him, pushes everything to a breaking point, but through it all, he sees a life worth living.
Shaw, is Eli’s best friend since they were kids, they crossed a line, he thought with his other head, and she will never love him the same. I wasn’t sure how I felt about him, but I will say he grew on me. By the end, I didn’t hate Shaw instead my heart hurt for him and his decisions. He pays the ultimate price, but I believe that he wouldn’t have it any other way.
A Blue Tale is a story about love, loss, heartache, forgiveness, truth, and moving forward. It’s about doing things together instead of alone, facing your fears, overcoming your past, and keeping memories alive. This story is one that pulled me in from the first word, but by the end, I felt my heart hurt. The story of Eli and Deacon isn’t your storybook Cinderella. It’s better! She doesn’t meet her Prince Charming; instead, she meets a man that exceeds Prince Charmings expecations and keeps on giving.

Everyone has an author that they drop whatever they are doing to read their newest release. Well, Jillian Dodd is that author for me. I do have a few others, but I sit on pins and needles until it’s released then back to waiting for the next episode of The Keatyn Chronicles. Needless to say Hate Me lived up to EVERY expectation.
Hate Me picks up where Adore Me leaves off. Keaytn is in question of returning to Eastbrooke, but pretty much is left with no choice but to go back.
Once she is back at Eastbrooke we see Keatyn in a new light. One that includes a fight and drive to show Vincent she’s not scared anymore, but what she doesn’t expect is for fall harder for Aiden. Gosh I just love him!!!
Of course, Hate Me is full of hottie god, love, lust, a new party hangout which is freakin’ awesome, more Cooper Steele, heartbreaking, and fighting until the end.
In Hate Me you see Keatyn grow more than any other book in this series. She takes things into her own hands, and needless to say Vincent is left speechless. When Winter Formal approaches, we know things are getting serious for Aiden and her.
At Winter Formal, Keatyn does what any fabulous friend would do, and she puts everything on the line. The problem is… will it cost her love, life, and freedom?

Ruining You by Nicole Reed
Synopsis

The first book ruined me…and I couldn’t wait for this one. If you haven’t read Ruining Me, please do before reading this review…it’s almost impossible to write this without giving something away.

It’s been 64 days since Jay’s world was torn apart. She goes to therapy now in a voluntary inpatient facility to help deal with her feelings and what she’s been through, and technically she can leave whenever she wants, but the guilt she still feels for ruining everyone’s lives makes it impossible for her to face everyone at home. She spends her time alone, reading letters from Kane, Molly, and her parents time and again. Kane’s are the hardest, especially since the last one says he’s moving on. She can’t blame him really, that’s what she wants for him, he deserves so much more than what she can give him.
Eli is the new guy in the therapy center and at first Jay refuses to let him in, but soon they become the best of friends. He’s a straight shooter and doesn’t hold anything back, and he proves to be exactly what she needs to start working through her issues and healing. When he finally convinces her it’s time to face the music, she’s terrified but packs up to head home.
She thought she knew how her death would have affected everyone, but she never thought about how living through the attempt would affect them. Everyone’s life has changed because of her. She has promised herself that she will live now, but the people around her don’t know that; they only know that she tried to kill herself and could easily do it again. And she’s missed so much in the last 3 months. She never really thought about what happened to everyone else after the accident, especially Cal (that part broke my heart). Kane still cares for her, but he says he’s moving on, which is what she thought she wanted, but can she really let him go and let him be happy? Rhye hasn’t given up on her either, but before she can make a decision about either of them, she must take time for herself and figure out what she wants.
On top of everything else, the detectives are on her case about testifying against Coach Branch. Without her testimony, Coach will likely walk away a free man, but Jay can’t talk about what happened in front of her friends and family…it will kill her. Can she work up the courage to testify and put him away for good? Can she move on with her life and stop blaming herself for the accident and ruining everyone’s lives? Will she finally be able to love again?
“One makes me laugh…One makes me cry…One touches my heart…One owns it.”
Nicole Reed has done it again. This story took my already broken heart, crumbled it up a little more, and then slowly started piecing it back together. I already loved every character in this book from before, but this one took that love even deeper. I love a book that can rip me apart and make me feel absolutely every emotion possible, and Ruining You did exactly that. Do yourself a favor, read anything from Nicole Reed…you won’t be disappointed!

Have you ever read a book that made you feel every type of emotion? I’ve been extremely busy lately, but let me tell you I’m beyond ecstatic that I chose to review Capturing Peace by Molly McAdams.
Capturing Peace is the story of Coen and Reagan. Coen is a man that has seen more in a lifetime than most, and not in the ways most of you are thinking. His time overseas has left him with demons that he can’t remove from his sleep. His only escape is photography or rather a way to get his mind off of what haunts him.
Reagan has push everyone away except her parents, brother, and son. She chooses to keep people at a distance so that she doesn’t have to worry about losing them. That is until one spill at the coffee shop changes it all.
Reagan has to decide to let her guard down or continue to keep it high as possible. Coen realizes that not only is Reagan beautiful inside and out; she also takes away what haunts him.
Capturing Peace is a story that made me laugh, cry, have goosebumps, made my heart hurt, and put it back together again. The bond between Coen and Reagan is what little girls dream about finding, BUT the relationship between Coen and Reagan’s son, Parker, is life changing.
Life isn’t a bed of roses all of the time, but its what you experience with someone that matters the most!

Wanna know what I’m up to & how I write??
1) What am I working on? Currently, I’m working on Loving Charley (Full Circle #3) that will release 5/18/14! *Happy dance* I’m also working on Southern Perfection, a YA novel, that will release late August 2014, and I have a novella, Our Song, that will be published as an Hot Southern Boy’s type Anthology this summer!
2) How does my work differ from others of its genre? It’s Southern to say the least, BUT I write NA that everyone loves to read regardless of the age 16+. Yeah, it’s kinda hot, but to the point that if you and your Grandma read it you won’t be embarrassed at a family dinner!
3) Why do I write what I do? I write because I love it! I love that I can bring emotions to life, and people want more. It’s just like reading for me… it’s therapy!
4) How does my writing process work? I will say that my writing process is pretty ordinary. I have to outline. Not to say that I always stick with it, BUT it helps me plan. I do always come to the ending no matter how I stray. Sometimes the character just take over!
