Protecting Lyndley is a story about putting your feelings on the back burner to protect the one that means the most to you, but there’s one big problem. You’re not suppose to fall for the one you’re protecting.
Lyndley is a young lady who has witnessed a horrific event due to her current case she is working. When this happens she is forced to leave behind everyone that is important to her, lead them to believe that she is dead, and have a husband who is a total prick.
Ky has been dealt a rough set of cards lately, and not only is he having to protect some rich chick, but he’s also gonna have to lay off the booze as well. When he gets the call about Lyndley, he never expected her to have such an effect on him, but he keeps his guard up until one night it comes crashing down.
Protecting Lyndley is a story about protecting someone you don’t know, letting your guard down, doing what you think is best, and then realizing how wrong you were.
Amanda Bennett is one of my all time favorite authors. Each time she never dissapoint me, and in fact, I can’t wait until she releases again. Protecting Lyndley left me hurting for both sides, on the edge of my seat, ready to kill someone, and never wanting the story to end!

I never imagined my life turning out the way it had thus far. Life can be a tricky road to navigate. Unfortunately, I had to find that out the hard way. I never took for granted the things I had or the people that completed my life, until the day I was forced to abandon everything.
I wish I could tell you that I was at least happy to be alive and well, but I would be lying. I missed my family and friends terribly, but to keep them safe this was what had to be done, for now. At least I wasn’t alone in the situation, but I almost think being alone would be better than the hell I was currently living in.

When you hear the words “Good Girl,” several things come to mind. For me, such words as goodie too shoes, princess, and perfect are just a few. In The Good Girl, these words take on an entirely new meaning.
Eleni escapes her demons with the help of alcohol and meaningless sex. One item she has going for her is her education. She’s determined to make something of herself.
Gabriel has piercing green eyes, but at times they are dark and hungry. He has his own set of demons that control his every move.
Everything in this world happens for a reason, and the acts, plans, and horror that happens between these two is no different. People from two terrible pasts are brought together by force, but while one breaks one into pieces a new hopeful individual is brought from the ashes.
The Good Girl goes into a deep and dark world. Everyone tries to hide from events that are too much to bear, but when you are forced to meet them head on your life changes. Regardless of the past, once you meet your demons in the light then life can move forward.
I loved this story. Yes, it was brutal, dark, and hard to imagine at times, BUT what came from the bad warmed my heart. The fact that sometimes life deals you a bad hand happens, BUT it’s what you do with those cards that truly matters.
