KDP Select and Kindle Unlimited
I’ve had a decision to make recently with the new Kindle Unlimited and my books. Now don’t panic I won’t be taking the Tiger Nip series away from BN, ARe, or Kobo. I will, however, be pulling the Freefall series from all platforms except Amazon.
Freefall just doesn’t sell well…anywhere. I love the series and don’t want to see it die so I am going to try out KDP Select and Kindle Unlimited for the books. I would love to make a living from my writing and in order to do that I need to look at what I’m earning and where it is selling. KDP Select and Kindle Unlimited is an avenue of approach I need to try out.
So, starting next week I will begin pulling Caught in the Moment and Fly Guy Next Door from Barnes and Noble, All Romance eBooks, iTunes, Kobo, and Google Play. I you want to get them before that happens now is the time to do it.

Kindle Unlimited is something else. For 9.99 a month, readers can get unlimited access to books in the KU library along with some audio books from Audible. At any one time, you can have up to ten books that you have borrowed. Once you return one, you can get another. Just like Netflix discs. You can leave the service at any time. And, you can do it from any Kindle App. You do not need to have a Kindle to be part of the service. You can cancel at any time.

Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Brandy Walker!
Is this your first year attending AAD?
No but it is my first year coming as an author and a featured author at that!
What brings you back to AAD?
A lot of things bring me back. A chance to hang out with my friends, see a new city and meet new people. I always have a great time at AAD. There are a tons of parties, panels and people. This year, for me, it is all about the readers and getting to know them.
Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?
Fingers crossed I will have the next Tiger Nip book, FINDING MORE, completed and ready for the masses. I’m attempting to get it written while doing a military move. WA to VA. Its long and grueling. House hunting, unpacking, finding all of my goodies.
If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
If you haven’t read me, then CRAVING MORE. If you have but you’ve only read my paranormal then I suggest checking out my contemporary romance CAUGHT IN THE MOMENT. My husband is Airborne qualified and has been since the early days of his Army career (he’s been in for just about 21 years now). I had that brilliant idea to set up a contemporary world involving skydiving. The first book introduces you to the Chute Shack and gang.
Tell us about the party you’re hosting at AAD!
I’m joining the always fabulous Melissa Schroeder Open Bar. If you’ve been to AAD before then you know the open bar I’m talking about. The one where you get drinks and a chance to hang out with other readers and the hostess with the mostest. This year Mel invited other authors to join her and I’m one of them. I’ve heard word that Tilly Greene will be one of the hostesses as well.
What panels will you be on at AAD?
Panels….let me think. I’m doing the Sports panel and will be talking about my Freefall series. I’m also doing the Cover Art panel. Before I started writing I was doing personal assistant work for Melissa Schroeder, Heather Long and Lissa Matthews. I started working up promo and doing covers. My biggest client being Mel. You may have seen some of my work; The Santinis, the Semper Fi Marines, the Sinfully Supernatural box set, to name a few. I’ve also done all of my self-published books.
If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
Jack & Coke. It is my drink of choice. My poison. My most favorite ever. If it was a shot though then I love Buttery Nipples.
SWAG. We all love SWAG! What cool stuff are you bringing?
Remember that move I talked about earlier….I’m hoping I’ll have time to order a few things before the conference. Right now I have Tiger Nip trading card packs and pens.
We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell?
As of right now I’ll have Craving More, Claiming More, and the con only book Dallas & Kacie. I hope to have my first two Freefall books there as well.

Happy Anniversary Mel!
Shout out to my BFF Melissa Schroeder on her publishing anniversary.
Its been 10 years since she had her first book published and I think that is freaking amazing. She’s pursued her career amidst those that told her she wasn’t a REAL author because she was digital and not with a big publishing house. She took the plunge into the self-punishing world with little support from her fellow authors and has blazed a trail others can follow.
She’s my best friend, mentor and a damn good author. So give her a hearty congratulations and join her on her blog hop. It will be running from today through midnight PST on the 27th (her actual anniversary date.)

Guest: Tilly Greene
My name is Tilly Greene and I write erotic romances, mostly. Sometimes I go off road and the results are pure erotica. My erotica pieces are generally short and all about sex. They may love each other but if it’s there at all, the romance has a minimal role in my erotica stories. Often I’ve written a sex scene that I love but it doesn’t make it into the final story. I don’t want to throw it away, I love it, so I change things up, add to it, expand and BANG! Literally, there’s banging and done.
Pleasured in… is a series of such activity. Pleasured in New York City is a single scene between lovers who are involved in the bondage world. They try a new to them apparatus when she finally gets him to relax his concerns. Pleasured in London [coming in June 2014] takes place in a club set up for people to come and indulge their sexual proclivities over two nights. The story starts with two people, strangers who want what the other is offering, and ultimately ends with three and a promise for many more wickedly hot interludes.
Not that much of the towns are depicted in these stories, there’s no room for that, just hot sex … hence the erotica label. So I hear you asking: what’s the difference between erotic romance and erotica? Loads! Too much to put in a single blog, but I can be brief. The first has a romance blooming and the latter doesn’t care about romance as long as there’s sex. Yes, simple, but it’s too the point.
I have other erotica pieces. Another erotica tale of mine is Special Delivery and I wrote this one based on the sex 
toy a now dismantled blog was named after. This is a tale I absolutely adore and it has a UPS man as the hero. Who doesn’t love delivery day! Another is The Keeper. Years ago I found online a painting that inspired me and a particular day a heroine was having. It had started out nice and turned ugly until a stranger happened upon her. The title of this tale says it all. The hero is someone the heroine needs to keep in her life. Taste for Blood has been pulled down so I can expand upon the emotions circling this heroine. Look next year for a full on blood bath for her with the love of not one but two men, sweet!
In all my erotica stories sex is not ugly or foul or dirty act of wham, bam and they’re gone. Whether it’s erotic romance or erotica, I want what’s between them to be wonderful and fulfilling. The heart being involved is important to one and not the other, but I want the reader to care either way.

Silently edging along the wall Cass French jumped as the power stuttered one last time before finally giving up, plunging the room into inky darkness. “Kyron,” she whispered nervously. “You still with me?”
“Of course Cass, when am I not with you,” he responded indulgently. “I’m just getting my bearings.”
A quiet chuckle escaped her lips drawing Kyron’s amused glance. “Like you really need to do that,” she quipped inching further into the room.
