WIP: Stolen Soul

Silently edging along the wall Cass French jumped as the power stuttered one last time before finally giving up, plunging the room into inky darkness. “Kyron,” she whispered nervously. “You still with me?”

 

“Of course Cass, when am I not with you,” he responded indulgently. “I’m just getting my bearings.”

 

A quiet chuckle escaped her lips drawing Kyron’s amused glance. “Like you really need to do that,” she quipped inching further into the room.
