Updates

I've had some questions about when the sequel to Fighting Destiny will come out.  I'm half finished writing Burning (Central Coven 2).  I hope to have it published by the beginning of 2014.

In the mean time Self Destruct should be available in the fall of this year.

Can you fix another person?  Becca Scott was broken by an assualt she suffered as a teen.  She spent years torturing herself in an effort  to feel something, anything other than old memories.  She started to pull herself together, but is she strong enough to brave falling in love?

Aiden Ryan lost the one person he truly loved, and suffered a bad relationship for years over guilt.  Seeing Becca for the first time forced him to want to live for the first time in years, but was he strong enough to forgive himself and take a chance with her?

Stay tuned, I'll keep you posted on release dates.

How hot is too hot?

I've been trying to write a love scene for about a week.  In fact I have had a temporary case of writers block because I have been balancing on the edge of: how hot is too hot?

I wanted to give readers an idea of the heat, without anatomically describing too much action.  Don't get me wrong, I love a good smexy book.  I've read Fifty Shades of Grey and enjoyed it, but I don't think I'm at a place in my writing where I need to list out what goes where.

I want to show the feeling more than the action.  I want readers to run off with their imagination rather than be dictated how it should look in their heads.

I hope I managed to do that after the third re-draft of this scene, but only my readers will be able to tell once the sequel comes out. Oh, and I'm not saying who got it on.  You'll have to wait and read.

Losing Hope comes out at midnight!

I'm busy writing today, because tomorrow I'm spending the day with Dean Holder. Just me, my kindle, and his brooding hotness.  I'll let you know how it is tomorrow.  Early reviews say it is better than Hopeless, which I find hard to believe since Hopeless was perfect.

I'm half-way done with Burning (Central Coven 2).  If you've read the first one I'm bringing more of Finn, Dean and Grey.  If you haven't, why are you checking out my blog? ;P

New favorites

I've found a few new books to add to my favorites list lately.
Ever Enough by Stacy Borel
Crush and Smitten (2 books) by Lacey Weatherford
and For Everly by Raine Thomas

My top pick of these is For Everly.  It has everything, a swoon worthy book boyfriend, a strong heroine, angst, and a HEA.  Plus I hear there might be a sequel.  Don't miss it.

Books are my obsession

I love to read.  I love how they transport me to alternate worlds, or just out of my reality.  Sometimes I read a book and I'm not totally sold.  I think I could have written it better.  I'm sure there are people who feel that way about mine.

Then there are other books so painfully perfect I know I pale in comparison.  And that is also perfect.  It makes me strive to write better.  My favorite is Colleen Hoover.  I love everything she has written, but especially Hopeless.  If I could only ever recommend one book this would be the one.

I love to write, as much or more than I love to read.  I don't write for fame or fortune.  I assume those things are nice, but I don't need them.  I want to share stories that I hope will entertain, teach, and in some cases help people heal.  I write from my heart, which is what I want to share, stories with heart.

Cheaters never win

A word on plagerism:

People have a love affair with books.  We read in private. I, for example like to read in the tub. I relax, stripped bare, and open my soul to a stranger's words.  I expand my imagination, and allow their characters into my mind.

When those words are taken and passed off as someone else's it is a violation. It steals from the writer and the reader. But in the end someone will figure it out.  They always do.

As an author I want to support Jamie McGuire and Tammara Weber.  Their books, Easy and Beautiful Disaster respectively, were plagerized by Jordan B. Williams in a book titled Amazingly Broken.

I've read Easy and Beautiful Disaster, and I loved them both. Read them and help support these two wonderful authors. And remember cheaters never win.

Must Read!!!

You have to read this series by Ellisa Reese.  Falling on the Banks of St. Clare.  It is sweet, suspensful and romantic.  Maybe if we pester her enough she will write faster and I can read the third book.
