Can’t say I’m too confident in any of my picks for #UFCVegas47. There are a lot of unknowns and questions . Choosing Alvey might be crazy, but so too are short notice fights. His back is against the wall and he’s hard to blow out. Coupled with a brutal KO loss for Allen last time…I don’t know that taking this fight was the best idea with just 4 days notice against a veteran. I’m not a #gambler, but the payout on an Alvey win is tempting. Not enough to be pointed and laughed at by a bookie, so I’ll settle for digital mockery. (at Cold Spring Park)

Well, the fight came and went, and it was everything I could’ve hpped it would be. Like any journey, it brought lessons learned. Here’s a few of the standouts.

Fighters have an exceptionally difficult job, and not limited to the cage. Handling tickets, handling life bills, getting to their training, and constant changes of opponents and fight dates just a few. I knew it was hard, now know how hard.

Good promotions matter, and all are not equal. A quality promotion will look the part and do the little things for you. Like bend over backwards to make sure you fight. From communication to venue to little perks like providing tape/gause and a promotion shirt are not a given, but were with @chosenfewfc. My friends new to #MMA were wowed by the production.

After two years, I finally found a bit of peace. It’s wild that it took fighting in a cage, in front of a loud crowd, to find it. The mental work I did worked and I was completely calm, yet ready; more so than any other time I competed. That pre-fight calm was peace. For a few minutes, nothing else mattered.

When you do things right, and for the right reasons, the outcome is secondary. It was a loss, but hardly felt like it.

Lastly, it’s not about who matters to you; if’s who you matter to. After two years of lies, constant random attacks on my character by jaded people and those they pay to #alienate your child further, I got a healthy doae of reninders that the sycophants are wrong. I love the support I got, and estimate about 70 people were there for me. It was truly appreciated, more than anyone knows.

It’s been 1 year, 5 months, and 9 days since I saw my daughter. I was never a part-timer, nor absentee. We had our own traditions. We traveled. We did graphic arts. She lived in my t-shirts. When I returned to high school coaching, she became our videographer as to not lose time with her. We collected antiques and records, celebrated her successes, and were there with open arms after she was rejected by her other family for expressing who she was. It’s exactly why I was targeted, and everyone in my circle cut out.

If you want to understand how it impacts an erased parent, please watch this. This 18 minute video took me several days to fully watch, as it pinpointed my last year and a half with insane accuracy. This is what it’s like to be alienated.

Fighting at 49 probably sounds crazy, but this is nothing; win or lose, I at least have a say in how this one ends. The same cannot be said about #Wisconsin’s shameful #familycourt system.

Thank you all for your support, care, and patience with me. This has been incredibly hard, but this is only a part of my fight against #ParentalAlienation. The book and doc will cover the rest. No matter what’s been said or done, nobody can say I didn’t fight for my daughter.
