#UFC278 is a top-heavy card with three real compelling matchups at the top of the card, but thins out quickly when you get past those. I think #Usman is just too well-rounded, the difference being his wrestling, which is significantly better than #Edwards. Edwards has solid takedown defense and can get them on most guys when he wants to, but don’t think that holds up against the champ. I don’t see a finish here, but don’t think it will be real close.

If ever there was a fight I could wish both to lose, it would be #Costa vs #Rockhold. Since both can’t, I go with Costa by whine hangover. I think #Aldo pulls the upset here. After that, there’s not much for recognizable talent. Woodson and Romanov are worth tuning in for.

I missed last week’s fight for the 1st time in 2022, having been at a wedding for one of my former fighters. Beyond that, I stand at 205-116 for the year in picks. (at Fort Pierce, Florida)

#UFC277 in #Dallas is an interesting card that features a pair of title fights, and a few other crucial fights that could set up title shots in the future. New champs are 11-2 when defending the belt in an instant rematch, but Nunes is a generational talent and if anyone can overcome that, it’s her. I like her in the rematch. I think Kara France and Moreno is a competitive fight, with Moreno being better technically and Kara France having more danger factor and physical skills. I think Moreno has been figured out a bit by the division, and think physical skills win out in this one. I want Lewis to win, but am afraid he may be at a career crossroads. I like Ankalaev in a rout and don’t think it’ll be close. If Smith struggled to take down a home invader, he’s going to have a real monster on his hands in Ankalaev.

Drew Dober, Matthew Semelsberger, and Drakkar Klose are all on the undercard and worth the time spent to tune in; especially Semelsberger, who has been knocking people into the shadow realm in record time, so don’t blink when he’s out there. Overall, I called just two upsets with Moreno, Abdelwahab, but there are many narrow spreads and a lot of these could be real close. Last week’s card was 8-6 for me, taken down a few pegs with some big upsets and the main event injury. I stand at 186-112 for the year. (at Cedar Park, Texas)

#UFCLondon Is a solid card for a fight night, especially on the #maincard, which has some heavy hitters and recognizable names. I like Aspinall’s well-rounded approach, and think it wins out here. I think Chris Curtis is going to add another win and think Leavitt is being slept on. If anyone thinks the pressure of #London’s crowd will get to him, think again. He’s one of the rare ones that could thrive in it. The undercard has a lot of lopsided odds, and don’t think that will do anything to weaken the excitement over another big night in #London. Last week, the #UFC put out their pic card way late, and mine had incorrect times listed on it. I went 6-6, stand now at 178-106 for the year. (at Fort Pierce, Florida)
