Anger and Projection
I choose anger because I’m afraid of peace, for within the peace from which everything is created, the self I think I am is meaningless. In that deep neutral peace, differences don’t exist, all is one, so there is no ‘me’. Anger is a smoke screen concealing the true conflict between myself and mySelf – my ego self and my God self. Genuine peace comes when I choose the part of my mind that does compassion, mountains, forests, clean air and water. All conflict arose when I chose to leave that part of my mind. When I return to it, only peace remains.
This suggests that ‘fixing’ things in the world isn’t the most effective way to go. It says that if I return to my mind and choose again, problems here will disappear. The movies are a good metaphor for this. When the picture’s out of focus on the screen, I don’t go up to the screen to fix it, I call the projection booth. So with my experience, the screen. If I want to have a different experience, I have go to the mind, the projection booth. The brain maybe a camera, but the mind is a projector.

Wise Wednesday
The Wisdom of Oneness
One power, one energy in, through and as all that is. Me, you, Trump. What uses this power, shapes and guides it? We do. Scary thought. Very scary. Our beliefs, imaginings and creativity shape it. No! Can’t be! The world was here before me and will be here after I die. I was born into it. Right? That’s what we think because we fear our power. Don’t want to accept responsibility for it. What we’ve done with it is too terrible – war, concentration camps, poverty, murder. Wonderful things too – sunrise and sunset, forests, oceans, poetry and compassion.
It’s up to us. The one power is neutral, plastic and responsive to our feelings, beliefs and thoughts. We’re responsible. Scary but true. Projection makes perception. The power is like jello and takes the shape of our mental/emotional molds, our mental equivalents. We are the power we call ‘God’. We’ve denied it. Projected it out onto a superhuman being. But it’s still us. We need to believe in something greater than ourselves. OK. Fine.
So let’s take the power and responsibility back and give it over to our Selves, the part of us that does compassion, mountains, forests, clean air and water. The part that is a paradox, that is nothing, invisible and creates out of itself. The part that is always serene, still and peaceful in the midst of the frantic action of life. The part who’s nurturing peace and renewal is always there deep within our experience.

Being Mindful of Oneness
E = mc squared – matter can be neither created nor destroyed. One energy in, through and as all that is. Me, you, Trump. Compassion, kindness, and forgiveness reveal that truth. They say I am not separate from you. How I think about you reflects how I think about me. In the beginning and at the end and with the basic needs in between we are all the same. In the ego’s world, for a brief time we are separate. But even here, we can reveal our oneness. Compassion, kindness, and forgiveness remind us of the oneness that is already here, covered by layers of the ego’s, division, hatred and judgment.

Inspired thought and feeling precede inspired living.
If you want new clothes, you’ve got to throw some old ones away to make room for the new ones. Makes sense, right? It’s true of ideas, feelings and reasons too. To have a new year or new life we’ve got to let go of feelings and ideas that no longer fit us. Inspired thought and feeling precede inspired living.
We as egos may not know what’s next, but there’s something within us that does. Turn completely from the situation – empty your closet – give the situation over to the power within and go from there. Inspired thought and feeling precede inspired living. Surrender the mean small self to the greater Self.
What have you got to lose? The situation isn’t working as it is, right? So try something else. Try spiritual technology – forgiveness, meditation, prayer, mindfulness, stillness. Go to the next level. Get your bloated nothingness out of the way of the divine circuits. Inspired thought and feeling precede inspired living.

A New Default

Happy for no reason.
A ray of sunshine
breaking through heavy
gray clouds of
business as usual.
Like Dorothy going from
Kansas to Oz.
Could sunshine be
business as usual?
Sure!
But I don’t really believe it.
Black and white clouds of struggle,
strife, lack and limitation
are business as usual.
Sure moments,
many moments, of sunshine and technicolor.
But clouds,
not sunshine,
are my default.
I wait for the sun to break thru.
Must I?
What about mindfulness?
If, when aware of ‘business as usual’,
I think ‘sunshine’,
won’t sunshine eventually
become my default?
Shadows dance along the coastline

A Political Something to be Mindful About
According to Fast Company Magazine, 38% of corporate CEOs under forty didn’t vote in 2016.
As we slouch to the end of the brief Pax Americana, the flaws of the US Constitution and the American democratic system, always there, are now, thanks to Trump and his Republican enablers, glaringly obvious. Will we have the courage, civility and wisdom to set aside our arrogance and hubris and fix them so perhaps at last the hypocrisy will diminish and the USA will live up to its hype?
