Judgement

Devorah looked around the multitude. “All of us judge,” she said, “often against ourselves. It’s painful, usually doesn’t help and increases guilt; same when judging events and others. Why don’t we, as the Swami says, stop judging and go for Heaven on Earth just for the hell of it?

“After all, it’s not our part to judge our worth, anyone or anything else’s, nor can we know what is really best. That is for the power we call ‘God’ to do. But because It knows us as part of Its own perfection, It judges not, only blesses. It alone knows what we can do within a plan so vast and large we can’t even perceive it. Get your bloated nothingness out of the way and allow It to guide you. Let go and let God. What you think is weakness can be strength and what you believe to be strength is often arrogance.”

Think What This Means. Does it offer an opportunity to change?

Each of us is totally unique — just like everyone else.

The Swami

“We need to lighten up and see the humor in things,” Devorah said. “Doing so will give us renewed strength, wisdom and creativity. There is a wise man from the future, Swami Beyondananda, who said this about that: ‘The best way to illuminate the darkness is to make light of it.’”

Yael’s Shadow, Last Part

A dam had burst inside Yael. She would embrace her shadow and stay and worship the Canaanite goddess. Would all else be washed away? Would Haber, her husband, still love her? Would God still love her? Would her self disappear into her worship and her Self emerge?

“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, that we may fear less.” Marie Currie

Yael’s Shadow, Part Two

What am I doing here? Yael thought. I’m a descent, Hebrew, married lady. But oh, how lovely it is, how tranquil yet arousing. How I would like to worship here, abase myself and empty myself so all of this could fill me and become me….more in Devorah.

Yael’s Shadow

A sensual blend of fear and desire drove Devorah’s protégé,Yael, toward the forbidden forecourt of the Canaanite temple. The scent of flowers and incense, the sounds of lulling hypnotic music and the beauty of the scantily dressed women did the rest. Read more in Devorah.

The Shadow Knows, part three

Like the wind, unseen but felt, the Shadow exerts its almost unconscious pull. But, if you’re awake and conscious, mindful and aware you can understand and use it, as we do the wind. Yes it’s scary, dark and twisted. You made it that way. Now, with God’s help, you can look upon it in the light, unafraid and straighten it out.

The Shadow Knows…part two

The Shadow   We all have a shadow. Many like Yael’s. Its energy completes us. Whatever form your shadow takes, embrace it; you need its energy   to be whole and healthy.   The Shadow knows….

The Shadow Knows….

Yael, a woman who grows into Devorah’s comrade, had a deep, dark, secret sexual shadow. When you read the book, you’ll see how she became whole by embracing it.
