Let’s start with Greg Lestrade. Short stubbly hair, nothing new here.

Now, John looks different to me. Slightly longer hair, slicked back? Definitely no ring in that picture! Though I wouldn’t advise to jump to premature conclusions. They might not be in full costume, yet.

And finally Sherlock: Wig or no wig?

I personally think extensions/wig on Benedict based on recent photos (unless I’m mistaken and the recent photos aren’t all that recent) and I think that Martin’s not in his actual John hair…that hair is so very very Martin that it’s throwing me for a total loop. Because he’s obviously in costume. Ugh, I’m a little wrecked.

Agreed I personally think Sherlock’s hair here is extensions/wig. I take pride in knowing my fave Sherlock curls. And that hair does not look like 100% pure Sherlock curls

As for Martin, that’s Martin’s hair. I don’t think they will suddenly change John’s hairstyle to sleek back style, John has always been displayed as the more “ordinary, everyday man”. A sleek back style is too dapper to fit this characterization

The organization Into Film seems to have taken a group of teenagers to set today, as several people reported on twitter. They claimed to have seen Benedict, Martin, Rupert, and Steven Moffat there. It sounds like we should get some photos tomorrow, though probably nothing too revealing as they all apparently had to sign non-disclosure agreements. Best speculation on a location so far is Bargoed, where we previously saw Arwel on a recce at Club Lennox.

Bro loc signs were spotted in Mount Stuart Square in Cardiff. These are near Portland House, so it’s unclear if they’re leftovers from previous filming or are for upcoming filming.

Bro loc signs were also spotted at Dragon Studios in Pencoed, where things have been active until well into the evening (possibly a night shoot).

Only the trailer pic is from this year - the photo of Benedict is from series 3. The trailer pic could be from ANY show, and is most likely Ordinary Lies, which several people in Cardiff have confirmed has a very large base near the uni today.

Cardiff University filming is reportedly not Sherlock.

So, a gun armorer was on-set, presumably in 221B, on a day when they’re poking around Sherlock’s bedroom, eh? That’s intimate.

April 17th was Sunday tho? They were filming in 221B yesterday, which was Monday, April 18th? Or am I the one missing a very obvious point here?

this is a really good point, this doesn’t mean that guns were necessarily “on set” at all, they could have just had a convo/recce of some sort, and the guns are still to come, maybe not even in this episode
