CS monthly photo

This one comes from the trip we called “The Magical History Tour”, which turned out to be the best of them all. This is Le Château de Bonaguil, in the département of Lot-et-Garonne and the région of Aquitaine.

It is mightier than you can imagine without having seen it; and although the house clustered below are fairly modern, they have replaced those that were there in the days when Bonaguil was the last of the fortified castles, looming over them in protective custody (for that’s what it amou...

A madcap ad. group, the young Scholz & Friends Berlin, created this campaign: these are posters on machines used daily by people passing by, designed to get them to use some management agency to change their jobs.

Personally I find them very amusing; but a newspaper in the UK didn’t, and published a patronising article about the campaign. Pfuh! – it’s so rare that ad.s amuse me that this made me grumpy … ;-)

A very worthwhile documentary

My Swedish blogging friend Katarina, with whom I exchange many and many a comment[1] at this hour and that, has recently posted about a uni student filmmaking friend of hers, here. The link interests me greatly; for as you know well by now, the matter of refugees and asylum seekers is one close to my heart … especially as the Australian “government” treats them so badly that it defies belief; and is, in fact, against all refugee conventions.

In case you use a browser that doesn’t handily transl...

Filmmakers at work!

http://wp.me/p3ZISx-13O

Remember that post about organ donation? – if you read it, you’d better … or I’ll thump yer!;-)

Film lifeWell, the FilmLife competition’s filmmaking workshop is underway; and the participants are having a wonderful time learning some skills, developing others and generally getting up to scratch in preparation for making their short movies on this vital subject for entry into the competition.

Julie Green’s site, the link to which is behind the image, provides lots of details. This...

My home

This was taken with Stringer’s Nikon Coolpix 5700 – unfortunately, by me: it would’ve been a shitload better if he were around to take it, and that’s a fact! I haven’t a clue how to use this camera: I actually found a brilliant manual about it online and downloaded it, but I don’t even know where to begin to learn about its functions. I was so spoiled by having him there for 31 years to teach me everything that I’m useless at learning on my own.

Pardon? – you think it may have something to do...

It’s M time – without James Bond :-)

red-letterThere you go: never say I don’t keep you informed. Another of my wonderful Italians, and what’s more, there’s an image of my favourite French actor of all times (Jean Reno) on the front!! – it don’t get much better than that! O frabjous day!

This is a red-letter day, alright. When I began all this it never occurred to me in my wildest dreams that I’d be Adding Media by way of a large ‘M’ into the latest in my series of signees-by-the-100.

In fact, I have NO IDEA why I do this!

I do like to link...

Short (silly) piece of advice to poets

The spelling check doth make me mad,

it never was my fashion.

The grammar check is just as bad –

I hate it with a passion!

But then, the old as old M.R.

is qualified to edit;

to me they’re an A-NA-THE-MA! –

I give them zero credit.

See, poet I have never been –

my rhymes are poem-wreckers.

But if The Gentle Art’s your scene,

YOU have to use the checkers!

Your readers like your work, or they

are working up to liking;

so fault-free poems every day

will never see them hiking.

Our fingers type ahead of brains

and...

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge 5

Recognise him?

Yup, it’s da Lui, alright. At a few (couple of?) months old, and already pretty nice. Also, as is obvious, already pretty ORANGE!

I just love kittens because they’re cute and adorable. But I love them more when they’ve grown up and developed their personalities, becoming small furry people.

To those who say cats don’t feel affection, I say “PFUH!” (to be translated as you choose). :-)

You may wonder why I post these links to two newspaper articles that do nothing but show how Australia will never in a million years be the cynosure of all eyes in regard to asylum seekers …

I do it because I want it to be known that we are not all of...

Having no idea what I could give you all for being so nice as to read me over these 4 months, I reviewed other lovely photos (unhappily, not mine) that I’ve posted and saw that you have loved them.

So here is a mensesversary present for you, with great affection.

What the—?! I hear you cry … Think about it.

ANNI | VERSARY = the Latin plural of ‘years’, yes?

MENSES | VERSARY = the Latin plural of ‘months’!

Told you I made up words when they don’t exist and I need ‘em.:-)
