Did I mention this is not the life I planned?
It could always be worse, I know. I’m lucky to have a mother who loves to babysit, a best friend who loves sarcasm, and a new friend by the name of Greg, who is apparently a child whisperer and tells me my eyes are pretty.
Sigh… Greg.
The perfect, Adonis-like God of a man who keeps flirting with me. At least I think he’s flirting with me. It’s been so long, I don’t really know.
Between birthday parties, a few ill-advised bouts with make-up, and a whole slew of gymnastics classes, it’s finally time to take back some control.
So, while my girls learn all about how to grip the bar, I’m going to learn how to get a grip on my life.  And maybe my heart.

Mel's been in hiding and now that's it's safe for her to return - she's finding out that her world isn't how she left it. Her MC family will never be the same. The losses that she's suffered will cut her so deep that she only has the option to carry on and find some semblance of normal.  
Dog's blood family has never thought he was good enough...so he left and made the MC his home.  There's only one problem - his real father is sick and he needs him to help the business.  He's being pulled in two different directions by two different families.  One accepts him as he is and the other wants to change him into what they want him to be.
Mel and Dog together are hot as fire, but Mel's put him in the friend zone and even though that sucks...he's willing to be there for her.  Overall, this was a good book.  I would rate it a 4 star read because I kept stopping and starting it and it lagged in some places.  Otherwise, it would have kept my attention had there been more action from the get-go.  I will definitely read Max Henry again and I probably should have read the others before this one to get a feel for the series.

Her Butcher Boys series is centered around a group of ex-street kids who have teamed up with an indebted motorcycle club to take down a notorious drug lord. And her new series, the Fallen Aces MC, is a spin-off from this dark and dangerous world. At first when I started reading this book, I really thought the Female MC was talking to her mother and thought where was this story going but then it took a really interesting turn.  Another thing I loved was the Romantic Suspense of the story.  I don't know if it was classified as that, but that's what it was.  I loved Aiden and his abruptness at meeting Emma.  The fact that this girl shows up on his doorstep with a request from the grave would shake anyone up, but the fact that she's the daughter of someone he was once close too...Can it prove to be too much?  Aiden has so many demons chasing him, ones that just won't let up.  How can they when he wears a reminder of them everyday?  I've read a handful of really awesome books this years and MK did a fascinating job with this one.  I DID NOT see the end coming at all!!  In fact, it was one of those times where I was just as shocked as the character.  Things aren't what they seem and things are seldom what we think.  If you want a great love story, suspense and edge of your seat "what happens next" - then this is the book for you!!
