About the 1001 Dark Nights Bundle Authors:

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning. Nothing’s changed. Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched). Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan never thought she’d be a writer. Not really. No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. When another author suggested she use the voices in her head for good and not evil, The Redwood Pack and all her other stories were born. Carrie Ann is a bestselling author of over twenty novels and novellas and has so much more on her mind (and on her spreadsheets *grins*) that she isn’t planning on giving up her dream anytime soon.

New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love. She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California. On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a novella (UnRaveled).

This book was so different than anything I've read before and I loved it. Flint was so surly and he had a right to be. He had some hard knocks in his life. His child was autistic, but that didn't keep him from doing things or from wanting the best life for him. So often, I see parents treat their kids with kid gloves and really they just want to be treated normally and that's how Ellen treats "Harry" with as much normalcy as she can. As much as Flint tries to kick her out - Ellen holds on. This was truly one of those books that sticks with you even after you've finished.
I was given an ARC copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own and do not reflect anyone else's.

I loved Maisy from the beginning and I knew the mystery surrounding Hunter was going to be a doozy. Who was he, why was he there, and what was his connection to Maisy's son, Coby. When this showed up on my kindle - I was excited! I wanted Maisy's story a long time ago and I didn't want to wait til the last book. The fact that we're leaving this fictional Montana town is kind of sad for me and it's gonna be hard not to look forward to a new book every couple months from this author. She's become a top read on my list of go-to authors and recommendations. I enjoyed this series immensely and with every book that comes out I enjoy a little more. This book was more enjoyable maybe because it was the last in the series or because it kind of wrapped up everyones storyline...I don't know. I know that I don't want to give away the ending because who Hunter is kind of the catalyst of the whole story. He's kind of the key to everything and Maisy is just one tough chick. We need to all have a Maisy in our life because she's a little crazy and a lot caring...she loves with her whole heart, but she's a momma bear through and through. I loved that throughout the series the author kept every persons characterization spot on and it flowed from book to book. A lot of times you'll see an inconsistency here and there, but I didn't find that in this series and that was refreshing. If you haven't read this series and you're new to it - then start at the beginning and if you aren't new to it, then this is definitely the book you'll need to pick up if you're finishing out the series like I am.

Once a Disciple, forever a Disciple.
After giving up eighteen months of his life for his club,
the Disciples' president is finally tasting freedom again.
Stone knows there's only one thing that might ever be as sweet,
but she's too young, too perfect, too untouchable for a man like him.
A Disciple will fight like a savage to protect what matters.
Evie's life is pretty much blowing up in her face
until Stone finds her broken down on the side of the road.
Now if only she could get him to stop being the martyr
and give them a shot at what she knows they both want.
It's high time this biker got the chance to let go and just cruise.

Evie
“Still in school, then?”
I bit down on the inside of my cheek at his question. Perhaps I had underestimated how hard it would be to share a house with Stone. Tracking the sound of his steps as he approached, I gave myself a mental pep talk.
You can handle this. You’ve faced far worse than an unrequited crush. Time to toughen up.
“Just one last round of finals,” I replied.
Stone knew all about my plans. I’d still been working on my associate’s when we met, but I knew then what I would do when I finished. He’d listened to the whole plan, and he’d been the first person not to question if it was the right one.
“You know what you want, you know how to get it, and you’re making it happen. That’s f***ing great, Evie.”
“Does that mean you have graduation coming up?”
It was a logical question, but it felt foreign to me. The surprise of it made me look up at him.
“No. This part is all online. There’s a graduation I could attend if I really wanted to in Seattle, but I already stated I wouldn’t be walking,” I explained.
He’d meant to make small talk, but that was out the window. His attention was fixed on me, his brow furrowed. “Why would you do that?”
“Why travel all the way to Seattle for it?” I countered. “It would be one thing if I was going with a bunch of family to watch, but I’d drive all that way just to walk across that stage alone.”
“You can’t say you’re going now?”
“I don’t know. Probably not. It’s too close now.”
“Find out,” he ordered.
What?
When I didn’t hop to doing that, he repeated, “Go on wherever you have to and find out if you can still walk.”
His tone brokered no argument. This was the president of a motorcycle club, the man who had to be firm enough to lead a group of men most people would never question. Yet, I couldn’t help but do just that.
“Why?”
“You worked your ass off for this, you deserve to be there.”
“Stone…”
“And if you don’t want to go alone, then I’ll take you.”
Where his command had failed, that managed to silence me because it was too much. It didn’t say helping someone you knew out when they hit hard times. He was talking about traveling hours away to celebrate a pivotal moment in my life, the kind of event that family went to, the kind of event you attended for someone that you loved.
My mind a mess of words I wanted to say, my gaze fixed on the books spread out in front of me. Soundlessly, I closed them and stacked them up. Only once that was done, only when I’d had a minute to get some semblance of order to my mind, did I look back to Stone, who’d watched every movement.
“Thank you,” I started, and saw that catch him off guard. “You’ve done a lot for me, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to repay you. But you don’t have to do this. I don’t want you to. The ceremony isn’t important to me, but if it was, I wouldn’t want to be there with someone who just went because they felt bad that I’d be there alone.”
Stone was going to butt in, I could see it. Since it had worked earlier with Avery, I sallied forth before he could.
“You’re really sweet, and I appreciate it that you want me to have that, but we both know how I feel about you. I’m sorry that I’m making this complicated, but those feelings are still there for me even though I know they aren’t for you. So you being at something like that for me, it would only make this more difficult.”
Knowing I couldn’t withstand much more, I went to grab my things and get out of there.
I didn’t get the chance.
Before I could so much as turn away from him, Stone had my wrist in an iron grip.
“You seriously f****** think I don’t feel that s***?”
His face looked like it was made from pure fire, and it silenced any words I might have drawn up.
“You think I sat on that stool every f***ing day you were there to stand there smiling across from me just for the food? Because I’ll tell you right now, I didn’t even f***ing taste that s***. I was there for something I needed a f*** of a lot more than food. I was there to see that cute smile on your perfect f****** face.”
I wasn’t smiling then. Even though his words were exactly what I wanted to hear, the harsh way he said them scared me.
“I told you that day you offered me that invitation to get everything I’d been wanting for months, and I told you again last night, I’m trying to do what’s best for you. Now, I’ll give it to you even more straight. You’re twenty-seven. I’m forty-four. You’re beautiful and smart, you’re sweeter than any woman I’ve ever f****** met. I’m the president of a f****** MC. I’m a f****** convict. And you know I didn’t earn that time, but I’ve done plenty of s*** that could have gotten me the same rap sheet. I’m too f***ing old and too dirty to even think about having you, but I do. I thought about it for eighteen f***ing months sitting in that cell, and probably the only thing that kept me sane was picturing your face. But you’ve got your whole f***ing life ahead of you, and I’m not going to stain that.”
He stepped closer to me, one hand coming up to run callus-roughened fingers down my cheek.
“I’m not for you, even if it f***ing kills me to admit it. But one day when you find the man that is, you’ll be glad I did. And I’ll still probably be wishing that man was me.”
Before I could begin to process all he’d said, before I could say even one word to stop him, he turned away and left.
Evie and Stone had really good chemistry together. This had a good storyline and while it didn't have any OTT action - it had some. The thing I didn't like about this book was the language and sexual content - that was over the top and sometimes went beyond what I thought I could even skip over because it wound up being a couple pages. It would have been good without so much language. It was great seeing all the previous characters from the other books. If you've read all the other books in the series - you'll be sad to see it end.

Tired of waiting for her big break in the fashion industry, Sky Gonzalez, eternal part-time student and overworked retail drone, quits her job, sublets her New York apartment, and embarks on a semester abroad study program in Paris. Paris! Time to throw caution to the winds and jump-start her dreams. What’s the worst that could happen?
How about getting sent to the wrong Paris? As in Paris-frigging-Minnesota?
Bye-bye career dreams. Bye-bye glamour and haute couture. Hello flannel shirts, mind-numbing cold, zero bars on the cell phone, and socially challenged mountain men with tons of unruly facial hair.
So yeah, let the truck barreling her way hit her, please. Less painful.
Logan should have dodged the little lost waif and kept on driving. Who in their right mind walked in the middle of the road, dressed in white from head to high heels, during a snowstorm? Clueless city girls, that's who. Sky is all that Logan has gladly left behind: stylish, cosmopolitan, and a massive pain in the butt. He wouldn’t trade a single day in his quirky little corner of the woods for all the high-maintenance beauties the city can offer.
Too bad this beauty has been deemed a health hazard and quarantined in his house. Damn his doomsday-prepper neighbors and their paranoid emergency protocols. Now he has to keep Sky in and the pandemic squad out until the roads are clear. The question is, will that happen before or after Sky realizes she's under house arrest?
Ah, the best-laid plans...

This was so not happening. “Are you serious?” Sky choked out.
“I’m afraid so. I’ll make it up to you later, I swear. Get dressed.” Logan reached for the keys, unlocked one cuff, freed her from the headboard, and jumped off the bed. “Dark clothes. Camo if you’ve got it.”
She snorted, sitting up. “You’re joking, right? The closest I’ve gotten to camo was watching—with contempt, I might add—an episode of Duck Dynasty.”
“Black sweatpants then.”
Sure, like she had packed that for Paris. The only sweatpants she had were gold and pink. Prada, spring collection.
“Where’s the key for the cuffs?” she asked, looking around.
“I left it on the bed,” Logan shouted from the closet.
Sky patted the bedsheets but no luck. “Can’t find it.”
Logan came back carrying a big rucksack. He left it on the floor and lifted the bedcovers. No key. “Maybe it fell on the floor?”
Sky pointed at the rucksack, ominously similar to the ones she’d seen the 10K participants carry. “Don’t tell me. Bug-out bag?”
“Bug-out bag. We need to hurry. They time these drills. If we mess up their schedule, we won’t ever live it down. Get ready. I’ll search for the key.”
Where had she gone wrong? She’d had a nice, comfortable city life. Friday meant cosmopolitans, sexy clothes, and a fancy date with dinner and dancing. Hot sex if she was lucky. Now? She was in the middle of nowhere, getting ready for an evacuation drill, her mascara down her chest, her hair a mess, and her c*** hurting like a b**** from not coming. No dinner. No dancing.
She heard the front door opening and a woman yelling, “Logan! Move it! Where are you?”
“My sister got tired of waiting outside.”
“Forget the key and go meet her downstairs,” Sky urged him. “Before she gets in here. Or worse, before Arnie attacks her.”
“F***.” Logan grabbed the bag and dashed out of the room. “We’re coming! Go back to the car. Give us a minute.”
“You got thirty seconds,” was the annoyed reply.
Sky pulled the first long-sleeved-shirt she could find over herself, hoping to cover the cuffs hanging from one wrist. It was Logan’s, so it went down to her knees. Whatever. She ran to her room and put on the pink-and-gold sweatpants and the black-and-red rubber boots. Jesus, talk about hillbillying it.
She dashed downstairs. Logan was holding the front door for her. Outside, the horn on a big, black truck was blaring.
“About time,” said the driver, a gruff man dressed in camo, as they jumped in the vehicle. A woman with pixie-cut hair, also wearing camo, was riding shotgun. Megan, Logan’s sister, Sky presumed.
“If you bats*** wackos would schedule your damn drills at a more reasonable hour, or let us know beforehand, this wouldn’t happen,” Logan snapped back.
“It wouldn’t be much of an emergency evacuation drill if we gave notice beforehand, would it?” the pixie lady said.

What I really loved about this book was that it was a different premise than most books out there, it had a lot of comedy in it and it held my attention throughout the entirety and I didn't feel the need to switch books in between. We've all read the trope of "girl gets stranded in town" but how many have read the trope of "girl gets stranded in a town full of preppers?" The concept was really interesting and I found myself laughing out loud many times. It had the old-time feel of the author's first book.
The heat level is a slow build and it takes Logan and Sky a while to get to the point where they're knocking boots and I liked that they weren't going at it at 10 percent. I have a rule that if a book starts with sexual content in the 15 percent range - it's probably going to be a DNF. This book had a storyline and plot - which you don't find a lot of nowadays. I say that because it seems here lately that in an effort to put books out authors are just throwing in a bunch of sex, language and more sex and not working on plots or storylines...so to have a book that had one was a welcome change. If you can overlook the language, then this will probably be a top read for this year - although it's still early, I think it's going to be in the running. So, if you want a charming, funny, small-town and quirky read - then this is your book. There's even some angst for those that like that sort of thing.

After a colorful array of jobs all over Europe ranging from translator to chocolatier to travel agent to sushi chef to flight dispatcher, Elle Aycart is certain of one thing and one thing only: aside from writing romances, she has abso-frigging-lutely no clue what she wants to do when she grows up. Not that it stops her from trying all sorts of crazy stuff. While she is probably now thinking of a new profession, her head never stops churning new plots for her romances. She lives currently in Barcelona, Spain, with her husband and two daughters, although who knows, in no time she could be living at the Arctic Circle in Finland, breeding reindeer.

But when a handsome stranger walks into the lobby of her motel, her simple life is swept up in a wave of affection for his gentle heart. None of those feelings can be trusted, though. She made that mistake before with another man. The man she murdered. Hunter was a different man when he first saw Maisy Holt from afar. He took one look at her and ran in the opposite direction. But years later, he’s back in Montana and unable to keep his distance. He shouldn’t have tried to find her but he never was good at rejecting temptation. The promise of the good she could bring into his life is too hard to resist. Maybe if he can disguise the lies and hide the deceit, he can keep her from learning the truth. Because his only chance at a future with her is by burying his past.

Amazon | iBooks | B&N | Kobo Exclusive Excerpt:I was so lost in my sketching I flinched when the lobby door opened, and my pencil skidded off the page, leaving a deep mark even the eraser wouldn’t undo. I frowned for a split second before looking up, ready to greet my visitor with a megawatt smile. The smile fell, along with my chin. My visitor was straight out of a magazine. His light brown hair was tied back in a neat man bun. His strong jaw was covered in an expertly manicured beard. His caramel-brown eyes, framed with long, dark lashes, were aimed at me with such intensity they nearly knocked me off my stool. When he turned to close the door, I was suddenly very aware of the fact I was wearing no makeup and my clothes were about as dull as an economics lecture. But hey! At least you washed your hair today. Thank god I wasn’t in my normal blue baseball cap. I wouldn’t look like a complete slouch in front of this man. This man was all the good things about my Chrises rolled into one. This man should be in the middle of a photo shoot for a fifty-foot billboard, not standing inside my motel lobby. This man was about to get the mumbling, fumbling version of Maisy Holt the likes of which no one had never seen. Super.

iScream Book Blog - “I have such a weakness for damaged, broken, bad boys and his story really has me tied in knots.”
A Small Girl, Her Man, and her Books - “GAH! Just when i think i've figured out my favourite Lani Lynn Vale novel, she releases another book that makes me rethink the whole thing.”
Cat’s Guilty Pleasures - “It had just the right amount of heartache and heartwarming moments.”

Get out!He yelled those words at the love of his life twelve years ago, and to this day, Reed Hail regrets them. He’s always been the type of person to speak before he thinks, and apologies have never come easy. It’s been over a decade since she was his, and he stubbornly thinks that he can keep on living without her. He couldn’t be more wrong. The last thing he needs is her vagina anywhere near his exam table. But nobody ever asks him what he wants.Maybe he should’ve gone into the auto-recovery business after all.I hate you.Krisney Shaw would take those words back in a heartbeat if she could. In fact, she would take back everything.Never meeting him would be the perfect place to start. The memory of Reed Hail haunts her—morning, noon, and night. Then, to add insult to injury, she has to see him being happy while she’s breaking a little more inside every single day.Reed Hail is her worst nightmare because she’s constantly reminded of exactly what she’s missing—the other half of her soul.Just when she thinks things can’t get worse, she’s sees his sexy, bearded face over the top of her paper gown, and she’s lost all over again.Don’t ever let me go.Both Reed and Krisney are determined to avoid each other. They do a great job of it, too…not. One ill-timed gynecological exam changes everything. One single second in time shows Reed what he’s missing—literally and figuratively—and suddenly he’s back at square one.The only problem with being back at square one? He won’t be able to leave her a second time.Especially since the first time around he didn’t have a child with her to consider.
I had mixed feelings on this one. I loved Reed in all the other books along with Krisney, but in this book I kept waiting for a giant "bang" and something did happen just at the very, very end. This book tells over a period of time that goes over a year and you see that Krisney's parents are the one who tried to kill one of the other guys in an earlier book. They were cray-cray. Not in a good way either. There were a couple places that were mostly catch-up for those who haven't read the author before. I was ecstatic to see Dante again and I'm not going to say why he shows up, but it is sit on the edge of your seat. I do have to say that if some woman wanted to give me essential oils - I definitely wouldn't take them but that's just me!! Overall, this was a good addition and I think people will be pleased.
Routine. Just routine.Yeah, right.
I knew this was going to be bad. I knew that I was about to do one of the stupidest things in the world.
Yet, that didn't stop me from entering the infirmary.Every year we were required to see the doctor for an annual health evaluation. Mine was due two months ago, and I'd purposefully gotten out of it.I'd tried to get out of this one, too. However, my superior looked at me, grinned that evil grin of hers, and told me in no uncertain terms if I didn't do it, I'd be relegated to desk duty for the foreseeable future. She knew I hated desk duty.Talking to people wasn’t my forte. And now I was here.Going into the one place that I knew I shouldn't be going. The clinic in town was normally off limits. The clinic near the base had an older than dirt male doctor that I was fairly sure was a pervert who kept working because he didn't get to see pussy that young anymore. However, knowing that the old doc was off on the weekends, and Reed volunteered there for all the ladies that didn’t want to risk it with the pervert doc, led me to where I was today.Where I knew he was.Shit. Damn. Fuck.I’d gone to Germany to get away from him. He’d been assigned to the same base within a month of my arrival. It might’ve been a coincidence, but I knew it probably wasn’t.He did it on purpose. Just to watch me squirm.I swung open the glass door, waved at the secretary who I knew but whose name I couldn't remember, and signed in."He's running about thirty minutes behind," the secretary said as she took my information. "I'll tell the ladies that you're here, though. You can go on back. The nurse will put you in a room.”Of course he was, because the motherfucker liked to talk. Fucker.
Asshole. I walked back, met the nurse, and she guided me into a room.“Here’s the paper gown. You can go ahead and change here behind the screen.” The nurse smiled. “The part goes in the front.”I refrained from flipping her off.I knew which fucking part went in the front. I wasn’t a dumbass.“Thanks,” I muttered.I waited until she was completely out of the room before I changed, making sure the screen was completely covering every square inch of my body before I stripped my shirt off.My pants went next, then my bra, and my underwear. After slipping on the stupid gown—part in front—I folded the clothes precisely in on themselves, making sure that my underwear and bra were neatly tucked into my shirt before rolling my pants around the shirt.I did not want him to see my underthings. No sir-ree.He was already going to see my breasts and vagina today. I didn’t want him to see that I wore the sexy underthings for some stupid reason.Growling to myself, I picked up my phone and blasted off a text to my best friend. She was probably asleep, but she’d answer when she woke up.Somebody needed to be witness to this train wreck.Might as well be Hennessy.

Hot Shot by Karina Halle Release Date: January 9th, 2018 Genre: Contemporary Romance Cover Design: Hang Le
Delilah Gordon has a secret. She’s been in love with her best friend and the boy next door, Fox Nelson, since she was six years old.And while most of her friends and family know about her unrequited crush, the one person who remains oblivious is Fox himself. To Delilah, it’s better this way. She’d rather pretend that they’re just friends, even though her feelings for the moody rugged mountain man are anything but tame.Fox Nelson has a secret too.As a wildland firefighter or “hot shot,” Fox parachutes into danger every day he’s on the job, risking all to fight wildfires that threaten ranches, forests and thousands of lives. But while Fox’s job is only for the brave, inside he feels anything but. The more he grapples with his raging demons, the more he realizes Delilah is the only one who can put out the flames. As the two friends grow closer – and more intimate – than ever before, the more complicated their relationship becomes. And Delilah has one more secret to reveal.A secret that will change both their lives…forever.
This book was full of angst. I mean, just when I thought the two of them would get it together - more angst. This isn't your light, fluffy read for a weekend - that's for sure.
This book is about Fox and Delilah who grew up as best friends, but Delilah has a secret - she's in love with Fox. Fox, however, has a new girlfriend and everyone in town knows Delilah loves Fox except Fox. When his girlfriend dumps him because she knows a little too much about "all the feelings" swirling between them, Fox can no longer justify staying away. There's just one problem - he's got a couple secrets of his own he's been hiding behind everyone's back.
One night of passion and a couple of months later Fox is back from his job as a Hot Shot firefighter and he's got a surprise waiting for him at home. Can him and Delilah work things out or are his demons going to work out in the end?
This book had some deep dark topics -Suicide, addiction, blame for the death of a loved one, dangerous job of being a Hot Shot - what they deal with on a daily basis. This is not a book for the faint of heart. I had not read the previous two books so I wasn't prepared and I'm glad I didn't because now I'm gonna go back and read those. This was a relatively new author for me and I liked her style of writing.
