This may be cheating, since this book has already released, but my Waiting on Wednesday this week is:

dreamthievesNow that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life...

Anyone who has known me for a while will be able to tell you there are a few things I love:

Russia
Books
Books about Russia
Books by Jackson Pearce
Books by Jackson Pearce about Russia?!

So this week’s Waiting on Wednesday is, of course:

Thoughts about Laney MacGuire

I live in a very conservative area, and I’m a member of a very conservative church. And I wrote a book.

A very non-conservative book.

I bring this up because it happens quite regularly that someone at church says they can’t wait to read 99 Days of Laney MacGuire and I have to cringe a little bit on the inside. It’s not because I’m ashamed or embarrassed by my book or anything, but because I know they have an idea in their minds about what will be in it – and more importantly whatwon’t be in it...

Friday Five

1. Big news first! 99 Days of Laney MacGuire has an official release date! Wahoo! It will be available on Barnes & Noble and Amazon (and Apple, Kobo, the moon, etc.) on November 14!!! Be excited, y’all. Have I mentioned you should add it to your shelves on Goodreads? Because you totally should.

2. It got down to twenty degrees here overnight. That is, like, WAY TOO COLD for the middle of September, and I am not happy. But it’s supposed to be seventy tomorrow, so YAY!

And then it’s supposed to s...

That Looks Familiar

The morning of March 22nd, 2010*, I woke up from an incredible, intense dream. I immediately emailed myself the ideas that came from it so I could write them into a book some day, because that’s how I roll. I’ve not gotten to it yet – I have a lot of ideas to write – but it’s one I think about often, and probably one I will write in the next year or two.

The idea?

It’s a Southern Gothic retelling of Jane Eyre. Set on a small island off the coast of South Carolina. Upper YA, or possibly NA.

So t...

Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List

**Top Ten Tuesday is a meme brought to us by the lovelies at The Broke and the Bookish. To learn more and to see future (and past) topics, check out this post.**

This weeks Top Ten Tuesday is all about what we want to read this fall. Some of my books are new releases, some…not so much. Either way, these are some of the books I am excited to read as the leaves change and the cool air blows through the valley.

In no particular order:

dreamthievesI lied when I said no particular order. This is absolutely #1 on...

Embrace What You Write

I wish I could link a source to this file. It all over the interwebs, though, and I can't find where it originated.

March 27, 2010 was one of those glorious Saturdays that always seems to creep up in March, taunting me, making me excited for summer even though I know winter is not over and there’s more snow to come.

On this particular glorious Saturday, I was busy writing The Book From Hell* and chatting with a friend online. Wooed by the sunshine, I put on my bathing suit top (told you it was...

THE TEMPERING by Adrianne James – Now Available!

thetemperingThe Mythology department at prestigious Harvard University is tiny—and Mackenzie Duncan has just been selected as one of the lucky few. Her love for myths and legends is strong, but she never thought any of it could be real.

After being attacked by a large wolf while walking home alone, Mackenzie realizes something is not right. She heals quickly, is suddenly super strong, and is experiencing mood swings that can’t possibly be normal. The myths she’s studying aren’t myths at all. Werewolves ar...

Cover Reveal! DESTINY by Cindy Ray Hale (and a givaway)

Guys, it’s an exciting day! I have a fun cover to show you, from a fun book. :) (It’s all about fun in my little circle of the interwebs.)

I met Cindy Hale a couple months ago when she was looking for a freelance editor for her novel Destiny. As soon as I read the blurb, I knew I HAD to work with it. I’m so excited for y’all to get your hands on this book…and you won’t have to wait long – it’s coming this November!

Okay. Enough rambling from me. Are you ready to see the pretty? Here we go:

Weekend Adventures with Spencer’s Own

Boy Sprout hit the road this weekend for a bit of fun with friends. On Thursday, we hit up the Barnes & Noble in Idaho Falls for Ladies’ Night Out with Aprilynne Pike, Natalie Whipple, Wendy Toliver, and Jessica Day George. (No pictures, sorry. I was too busy pushing Matchbox cars around with the Sprout to pull my camera out.) We had a blast, and the authors were all incredibly entertaining and kind. And the cupcakes Aprilynne brought? To die for.

After the signing, we headed off to Twin Falls...
