4.0 out of 5 stars Bad boy turns loveable, April 27, 2015By Nickinic - Ebooks Galore "Authors please feel free to contact us regarding our blog."This review is from: Embracing Everly (Kindle Edition)*I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.*
I loved this book. Mick, the bad guy, falling for the good girl. It was romantic, with the over protective bad boy flair we all love. I liked that the relationship actually grows in front of you, instead of it being an instant love and attraction.
The end was very suspenseful, but I wish that suspense had been spread out a little more throughout the story. Instead of just the last 25% of the book. It would have made it a 5 star read for me. But as is, this was a wonderful story. It was well written, well edited and a page turning read for me. I didn't want to put it down! Why no voting buttons? Barnes & Noble
Goodreads

A Woman’s Pleasure by J.F. Kelly (pen name of Warren Shepell): 25 Erotic Chapters about Satisfying Sex and MutualityThere are three levels at which you can read the book: At the first level it is a cornucopia of sexual delights and a great fantasy read for both women and men.  It has lots of romance as well as sensual encounters.  At the second level, it recognizes that women are wired differently from men and the book empowers women to ask for what will pleasure them and satisfy them in lovemaking encounters. At the third level it is a book that teaches men to be great lovers and how to satisfy their women, and in knowing that by satisfying their women, they themselves will get satisfied.‘A Woman’s Pleasure’ is the steamy story of 25 men, and how they use romance, care, and mutual attention in achieving complete sexual satisfaction – for both themselves and their partners.J.F. Kelly, author of ‘A Woman’s Pleasure’, isn’t interested in writing a book that requires fetishes, kinkiness and dominance to stir his audience – he’s out to capture the intimacies and intensity of true love-making; passions rarely shared on the pages of most books that aim to hit the mark on their reader’s erotic fantasies. Indeed, most books attempt to deliver purely physical, sometimes extreme sexual fantasies with the barest, slightest shade of romance – often creating nothing but plain porn.J.F. Kelly’s work, however, isn’t like most books. The book focuses on the adventures of 25 different men, and their various sexual encounters – at times, the book leaves you breathless, at other times, it ensures you you’ll be left with a throbbing heart and yearning for more. Each chapter is devoted to a different man – and with each chapter, author J.F. Kelly accentuates the book’s purpose as a collection of sensual experiences meant to enlighten readers on the possibilities and the erotic joy of sexual equality, in and outside the bedroom. He strips off the abuse and nature of books like 50 Shades of Grey, instead insisting on giving readers an insight into mutual fulfillment through attentive intimacy, understanding and romance – keeping things incredibly hot without having to resort to extremes with a myriad of tales that depict skills lost to most men.In a statement on his website, author J.F. Kelly notes various reasons for his choice of portrayal, as he explains why his book approaches sex in such a normative, yet rarely seen way for literature. He says he created it as: “A vibrant counterpoint to pornography and sex on the internet that treats sex as only a physical act and portrays many things done to women that women don't enjoy. Pornography and sex on the internet become an educational tool for most men. In contrast, this book teaches men about satisfying sex and what women really want in expressing and experiencing their sexuality.”In critique of the book, professional book reviewer Paige Van De Winkle notes that “in the wake of erotic novels like Fifty Shades of Grey that, according to some, depict unconventional sex as exploitative—with one partner dominating over the other without a discussion of limits, respect, or safe words—A Woman’s Pleasure refreshingly focuses on the aspects of … sex that books like Fifty Shades ignore.”

Wild Heat

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Sometimes old flames are the hottest of all . . .In the quaint little town of Cailkirn, Alaska, it’s impossible to keep a secret, especially one as juicy as the unexpected return of Kitty Grant. Tack MacKinnon remembers her wild red curls and even wilder spirit—and still feels the sting from when she shattered his heart in college. But there’s a pain in Kitty’s gorgeous eyes that guts him to the core and Tack is determined to do whatever it takes to see the woman he still loves smile again—even if it means taking on her demons as his own.
After fleeing an abusive ex-husband, Kitty decides that the best way to heal her broken heart is to come back home. But she gets a whole new shock when she sees how undeniably sexy Tack has become. More handsome, more muscular, more charming—more everything—he’s impossible to resist. Before she knows it, they’re reigniting sparks that could set the whole state of Alaska on fire. Yet trust doesn’t come easy to Kitty anymore, and as things heat up between her and Tack, she can’t help but wonder if one of them is going to get burned . . .

Every author has their own process.  Music is a BIG part of mine and every book I've written has had its own playlist, even way back before that was a word. ;-)  I can write anywhere as long as I've got my iTouch and a pair of headphones. Even a birthday party at a noisy pizza parlor.  Yes, I've done it...hiding in a corner.  Just ask my family.  Deadlines wait for no one.
Wild Heat is no exception, but I've got to tell you...the music on that playlist surprised me.  I love positive country.  I'm not as big a fan of the classic twang, but yes I do have Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton in my iTunes library.  The thing is, I haven't been using country to write to for a few years.  Then all of a sudden, this new series comes along.  It's set in Alaska and the playlist is decidely country.  I won't tell you how much music I bought in six months, but I will tell you that I've heard more new country writing the Northern Fire series than in the whole decade leading up to it.
No way could I list all the songs I listened to writing this book, but how about I share the Top 10?
1. Fishin' in the Dark by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - please tell me you all remember this one.  It's one of my favorites from back in the day and it embodies that feeling of Kitty & Tack's relationship before she loses her way in college.
2. Land of the Living by Pam Tillis - this song could be Kitty's anthem as the book opens.  She's ready to start living again, even if she doesn't know it.
3.  Crash my Party by Luke Bryan - when Kitty first shows up in Cailkirn, Tack thinks it's the last thing he wants, but the reality is, he desires nothing more than his former best friend crashing his party.
4.  Turn on the Radio by Reba McIntyre - sometimes the songs are about how they make me feel while I'm writing.  This is the feisty side of Kitty and who better to channel it than the Queen of Country?
5.  Boys Round Here by Blake Shelton - now this is Tack and his brother and cousins.  These Cailkirn boys know they're something special and they should!
6.  Good Girl by Carrie Underwood - this could be Kitty singing to herself, reminding herself that she can't trust what men tell her, that Tack could hurt her just like her ex did. That she needs to be tougher.
7.  I Hold On by Dierks Bentley - Tack is the kind of man that when he makes up his mind, he doesn't let go.  Kitty may take some convincing and Tack may need to remember his mind has been made up for a while, but this man isn't letting go.
8.  Better Dig Two by The Band Perry - the intensity of this song is almost crazy right? And that's the kind of relationship I like to write about.  Love it or hate it, but you will not be unmoved by it. I can get behind that kind of romance.
9.  Deeper than the Holler by Randy Travis - this song made it onto several playlists I listened to while writing Wild Heat because it just so embodied the love Tack has for Kitty.
10.  Little White Church by Little Big Town - because the best romances end with a wedding. :)
You can see the whole playlist on my YouTube channel here:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDtHRVN-4KKVds8vsDpEsmyNh7gkTL1Lk
Hugs and happy reading and listening!

4.0 out of 5 stars good ya, April 18, 2015By Nickinic - Ebooks Galore "Authors please feel free to contact us regarding our blog."This review is from: Moonflower (Kindle Edition)*I recevied this book free in exchange for an honest review*
It was nice to read a book about shifters where they don't automatically know their mate. I liked the anticipation of who will she pick, what will she do.

This was a refreshing book. It was a YA story, but it wasn't juvenile. I loved the story and was captivated by it. I didn't want it to end. I felt the ending was a little disappointing. I wanted more out of it, more from the story. I'd love to see more about the characters.

This was a great YA read for any age.Why no voting buttons? We don't let customers vote on their own reviews, so the voting buttons appear only when you look at reviews submitted by others.Permalink

3.0 out of 5 stars could be better, April 24, 2015By Nickinic - Ebooks Galore "Authors please feel free to contact us regarding our blog."This review is from: A Change of Scenery (Kindle Edition)*I received this book free in excahnge for an honest review*
This could have been a great story. It was short, had an interesting plot, was ok writing. But, the problem for me was there were a lot of unanswered questions. I don't want to give the whole plot away, so I won't tell you what I felt was unanswered. But, I feel like this story just wasn't fully developed. It could have been a lot better. I think if made to be a little longer, developed more in some spots, this would be a fantastic and interesting book. As it is, I just feel unresolved. It's not an awful read. It's short and quick. I just wanted more from it.Why no voting buttons? We don't let customers vote on their own reviews, so the voting buttons appear only when you look at reviews submitted by others.Permalink

*over 74000 words in book one of The Deeper Chronicles (only two novels)*

allyn lesley writes real stories about real people.

As a teen, allyn lost herself in the pages of some of Romance’s heavyweights, trusting that a happy ever after was just around the corner. In allyn’s own writing journey, as in life, she’s learned that people don’t always experience recovery and restoration after a fall. Her stories speak to the gritty side of life where the right choice isn't always easily identified and happiness not quickly gained.
