The way the coversations go, you couldn't tell who was saying what. There were parts that were repetitive. But, as we move on, the story gets a little better.
"I want a vampire that burst into flames when caught in the sunlight, not sparkles like a seventies disco ball." There was some wit and humor in this book.
The story is interesting, an fallen angel that 1 family protects throught out the centuries. But I don't think it was executed well. I felt that it could have been much better without all of the BDSM talk. To me, this was a great paranormal romance. But Levi talked about BDSM so much that it almost ruined it for me. It didn't feel right. The sex talk just did nothing for me. It just did not fit into the story. Honestly without it, the story would have been a 4 star read for me.
Levi was overly dramatic for a fallen angel who was centuries old. It was strange and did nothing to endear me to him.
I did enjoy Summer. She was a little more down to earth and realistic. Uncle Walter was a fun and interesting character.
I think that with some work, maybe some content editing, that this could be a 4 or 5 star read. But as it is, it's just falling flat for me. I really wanted to like it, but it certainly needs work.Why no voting buttons? ~Parenting books are useless if you're not human. If your child is half Vampyre/ half Demon I would suggest not using parenting books at all--they can backfire like a mother humper. Trust me on this.
~Have sex.
~When your child tells you he has an imaginary friend, do not discount this as fantasy. Often times your child isn't imagining anything. If he persists with alarming and violent stories about this fictional buddy it's probably a Troll. Do a thorough search of your home and kill it. Decapitation works best. Some imaginary friends are harmless. However, it's wise not to take chances.
~Have sex again.
~When in large crowds, make sure you hold tight to your child's hand. Losing a child in an amusement park is terrifying. If you're truly paranoid a parent could consider putting a chip in their child. If you do this don't discuss it at dinner parties. People will think you are weird.
~At least cuddle.
~Playing with dolls is fun. Being one? No so much. If your child ever finds a Genie in a bottle, flush it immediately. Many children wish for things that are very difficult to reverse...like being doll sized. If this happens, move to Oz. There are many people of small stature there. And yes, it really does exist.

This is book has 2 severly damaged people who are afraid of attachments but at the same time, they are working through a lot of things.
This does turn out to be a great love story, slightly sexy with a lot of thrilling action. But there were some things that really bugged me. There's a lot of extra details that I don't think the book needed. They could have been trimmed out and made the book flow a lot better. The band, totally unnecessary and held no value for the book.
I wasn't a fan of having Anthony's POV, but do see where it was necessary at some points.
There were some editing errors, but nothing detrimental.
This story has a lot of backstabbing, twisting and turning. It's truly an exciting bad boy reformed story. I love Sam's character. She has a lot she's dealt with in life, but keeps going. In all, this story did keep me turning the pages just to see what happened next, I just really would like to see it trimmed to flow better. It's a love/hate relationship with the hero but totally worth it. I say pick it up and decide for yourself.Why no voting buttons?
