Chapter One:Chapter One Evelyn stretched, groaning at the ache in her back. It’d been a long night and she was looking at a two hour class at the medical center before she’d be able to crawl into bed. At least she only had two more charts to make notes in and then she could run home for a much needed shower.
“You doing your civic duty and chatting with teens again tonight, Eve?”
Turning, Evelyn saw her coworker and friend. “Hey, Jess. How’s it going? Yeah, I’m working at Strawberry House again tonight. Two hours with the teen pregnancy group.”
Jess’ thousand watt smile lit up the room. “You’re so good for those girls.”
Evelyn grinned. “You should come out sometime. It’d do you good to see some of them turn their lives around.”
Her friend shook long, blonde hair away from her face. “Naw. I don’t have time, and you know I don’t do well with bratty teens.”
“Yeah, even when we were teens you didn’t deal well with others our age.”
Lea lives in Western New York with her hubby, three children, and miscellaneous critters. Before the rug rats, she lived a life of adventure, following her husband all over Europe with the US military. She's slept in a car outside Paris, drove six hours just to see tulips in the Netherlands, and knocked ash from her shoes at Pompeii. Now she spends her time in life's adventures at soccer games, PTA meetings and school plays.
Lea has loved reading from a very young age, spending many sleepless nights devouring books. Science fiction and paranormal were her favorite genres to read as a teenager, and that love bled into her adult life. She started writing during a bout of insomnia, to fill time, and found it filled a creative void. Now she communes regularly with the characters in her head and tries not to laugh out loud when they say something funny.
When Lea isn't reading, writing or corralling kids, she enjoys watching movies and sciencey shows, or just kicking back and listening to some music.

This was a thrilling, suspenseful story! From the very beginning to the end, you're left guessing who it is, what's going on! It was a fantastic story. The end moved a little quick, then the epilogue sort of dragged. I would have loved a little more detail for the conclusion of the story and less of the epilogue. To be honest, I just skipped past it to the last page. But, the whole book, until the epilogue is just an amazing story! Mystery and thrill without the sex of a romance, yet a relationship may or may not bloom... a well written wonderful story!Why no voting buttons? J. M. Zuniga has been passionate about reading since childhood, but it wasn't until one of her college English professors suggested J. M. write a book that the seed of writing was sown. Even then, it took J. M. another year before she actually decided to give it a try. Inspired by the surge of YA novels proliferating the book market, J. M. decided to choose that genre for her first project, Winter Rayne, which was published three and a half years later in August of 2013. During a break from writing Winter Rayne, J. M. began to write The Diamond Mini-Series, a dystopian mini- series of two novelettes and one novella. The Diamond Mini-Series was first published individually, in e-book format, with the following titles: Under Ground (May 2012), The Core (July 2012), and Ransom (November 2012). Subsequently, they were all three published in a print book titled TDMS Collection (2013). J. M. has two award winning poems. Her First Place "Untitled" poem was published in Voices of Compton: Compton Literary/Arts Journal 2008-2009. "That's it!" The air seemed to bow in resistance with my sudden outburst. It had stopped, too, heeding my command. I jerked the bottle off the table, slicing through the world’s resistance and headed for the door. The movements were forced, opposing the motionlessness that occupied the surrounding space. The hallway felt like a blessing; the air flowed as it should and I could hear the garbled sounds of televisions in other occupied rooms. Whatever was going on only affected my room. Linda wasn't at the front desk and I was more than thrilled that I didn't have to explain my growing insanity. I just needed to escape. I walked towards the water, the waves beckoning me out with them. The noises of the night seemed to be unaffected by whatever it was that had happened. I threw my head back in invitation, silently willing the dark serenity to consume me. As I reached the shore the water reflected a thousand night lights, giving life to the emotions that had resumed their battle inside of me. I perched myself on a large rock, letting its strength and solidity anchor me down. The water's salty tears splattered against my skin, giving life to the tears that flowed from me. I cried with her, sharing my tears, letting them ride the waves together. I drank and raged with the night. Wind whipped around me, cocooning me in its embrace; protecting me from my growing madness. I could almost hear the soft bay of the wolves along the waves which drove a burst of laughter through my tears. I sounded hollow and unlike myself. I chucked the bottle which only had a few swallows left into the cold expanse, listening to the glass shatter through the ocean song.
I felt completely lost, consumed in the night. I couldn't find the thoughts that would give me an answer to what was happening to me. I watched as the ocean’s anger took its course all around me. Something about this night had her up in arms as well. At this moment I was in the company of a kindred soul. I sat still, letting her fight out her anger. I let the ocean have its turn to cry. Finally the waves began to glide and sway, ceasing its angry dance. The winds brushed against my cool skin, wiping away the remainder of my tears. We were both exhausted and spent; our emotional turmoil sated. Weariness left my body and mind heavy as I worked to make it back to the Inn before it gave out completely. The front desk remained empty and unwelcoming as I passed. I couldn't fight the exhaustion–not even to strip away my grief soaked clothes, letting sleep take over.

Master of the Island by Lauren Hawkeye - I feel this story was left unresolved. There wasn't much to it. Yes, it was interesting to see the story about how the island came to be, but where's the rest of his story?
Wild Ride by Opal Carew - Holy hotness! This is a crazy sexy book! I had to fan myself the whole time. Though, I wasn't big on how Killer treated her. I still loved the book. These Eden stories are almost too much for me! I'm addicted and they are all fantastic. I love seeing series that I love, authors I love, with 1 theme. An island where they know what you want even if you don't! These are all must read, but damn! This one was good.

"That girl has secrets in her eyes, and I want to know all of them." This is great romance. Sexy, suspenseful, hypnotic. I couldn't put it down. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is because I felt the "drama" (trying to not give a spoiler) was resolved too easily and quickly at the end. It just sort of... *POOF* and was gone. Either way, up til then, it was a great read, even with the ending, it was a good read! I love the Biker families this author creates! Makes me want to go buy a Harley, or find a man that does!Why no voting buttons? Shyla Colt grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, but has lived a variety of different places thanks to her wanderlust, interesting careers, and marriage to a United States Marine. She's always loved books and wrote her very first novel at the age of fifteen. She keeps a copy of her first submission letter on her desk for inspiration.
After a lifetime of traveling, she settled down and knew her time had come to write. Diving into her new career like she does everything else, with enthusiasm, research and a lot of prayers, she had her first book published in June of 2011. As a full-time writer, stay at home mother, and wife, there's never a dull moment in her household.
She weaves her tales in spare moments and the evenings with a cup of coffee or tea at her side and the characters in her head for company. A self-professed rebel with a pen. Her goal is to diversify romance as she continues to genre hop, and offer up strong female characters.
