Michael Swanwick Interview
It was my great pleasure to work with Michael Swanwick on an interview for Amazing Stories.
He is certainly one of the good people in imaginative fiction.
You can read the results here.

Michael Moorcock
One of my favorite authors granted me an interview.
My interview with Michael Moorcock went live today on Amazing Stories Magazine.
I had so many more questions I wanted to ask him, but limited myself.

Aza'kor Update
Still working away on my novel. Chopping wood.
I'm taking the great Robert Silverberg's advice by taking my time. Making sure that it is the best it can be.
I don't want to short change readers by turning out something that lacks depth and quality.
I hope you enjoy it, when I'm done.

The Hobbit
I went and saw the latest Hobbit movie over the weekend. Of course I had to go see the 3D high frame rate.
I enjoyed the film, but die-hards might have issue with it. There were a large number of things that go well away from the novel.
Some details I would rather they change, but I enjoyed it more than the first. The first of the trilogy isn't very re-watchable. Too many hokey special effects and questionable direction.
The latest film seems to have fewer of those goofy choices, but you can still find them.
I love the idea of Radagast from Tolkien, but I loathe the way he has been portrayed. For me he is a bit too Jar Jar Binks from the Star Wars prequel trilogy. I wish there were less of him.
The jack rabbit sled needs to go.
I will be checking out the final installment on opening weekend. Hopefully they finish strong.
No Oscar nominations for the Hobbit trilogy. It is a few notches down from Jackson's version of LOTR.
