Each time I reread a chapter in this book, I learn something new.
I recommend it highly for anyone interested in learning about themselves, their loved ones, their friends, colleagues, patients...
Ronnie Solan, clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst, brings her life experience as a sensitive and astute observer of human nature to fruition in this book. The Enigma of Childhood brings alive how our earliest experiences form the very templates or glasses through which we experience the world.
Written for both the lay public and professionals alike, her innovative and refreshing theoretical contributions are embodied in clinical vignettes, gleaned from her public work, private practice and personal life.
Once you become familiar with Ronnie's way of thinking, it will open your eyes to events and phenomena you have hitherto experienced throughout the course of your life but can now appreciate differently. The original language that Ronnie describes in her book, that of healthy narcissism, is one that makes sense and thus intuitively "speaks" to you.
See the reviews posted on Ronnie's website, including one I wrote, watch her gripping trailer, and visit her "Karnacology" page on Karnac's (the publisher's) website.
You will not regret it!
