Back in Tel Aviv, DI Helen Mirkin has joined the National Serious and International Crimes Unit. An Interpol alert regarding an international ring involved in selling counterfeit drugs to fund terrorist activities leads to a cascade of events in Israel, Greece, and Portugal. Unfolding events include people becoming sick with mysterious ailments and the unveiling of a planned terrorist attack. Meanwhile, Helen is consulted regarding the death of a high-ranking executive in a company producing food supplements, an inquiry which questions the ethics of the pharmaceutical industry.
DI Helen Mirkin and her local and international colleagues find themselves in a race against time to put a stop to these nefarious activities before more people are hurt.
