It is always possible to exercise one's observational skills and jot down descriptions of potential characters, locales, feelings ... research something that interests you, hone in on your marketing skills. Personally, when stumped with a writing-related problem (or any other issue), I find that biking or walking on the beach clears my head.

To exercise that writing 'muscle,' and simply keep that hand moving, and write, write, write! Don't be afraid of what comes out, don't censor it, just keep writing.
