Genre: New Adult Contemporary RomanceRelease Date: June 20, 2013

Her mother died in Iowa and she was left to fend for herself with an abusive and drunken father who could care less about her well being. After years of heartache and pain she graduated from high school and moved to Florida to go to college with her best friend Tiffany.
A new beginning...
That’s where she met Jaxon. He was everything she didn’t need. He was a cocky, tattooed, and a beer drinking musclehead. He was the type of guy that she normally would have avoided given her circumstances but when he offers her a bed to sleep on she can't say no.
She never thought that she would discover they weren't much different from one another and that he had his own secrets and scars he didn’t want revealed to anyone...

Jordin thank you so much for agreeing to spend some time at Into the Night Reviews today.
Let’s start with your career as a ghost writer. How many books did you write in that capacity? And are you prepared to share your ghost writing name?
I did about seven books that were all romance. The agreement was that I couldn’t say the authors and titles but I did write under Jordin Williams on a couple freelance websites. Of course my name doesn’t show up on the books.
What’s been the biggest difference with writing Amazingly Broken and the books you wrote as a ghost writer?
It made me really nervous because it’s my real name on the line now. Before, it was up to the client to fix the story up. Now I had to do it myself.
What was your inspiration for Amazingly Broken?
Every book I love usually has awesome guys. I took all of them and merged them into Jaxon. For Elana, it was my past minus Jaxon.

What about Elana – have you cast her in your mind? Elana would probably be Alexandra Chando with some curls.
We hear stories about how some writers have to have certain things or be in certain places to get their writing mojo on – what are the things you have to have to able to write productively?
My cat off the keyboard and COFFEE!
I know from other authors I’ve interviewed that they’ve usually got a couple of stories bouncing around in their head at any given time – have you got plans for your next book yet and can you give us any hints on what to expect?
Well I’m in the planning stages of a book for her best friend. Something tragic happens to her boyfriend.
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Heart, funny, obnoxious
Okay – so just to get a little bit more insight to you – pick one of the following:
Paperback or e-book? Paperback White, Milk or Dark chocolate? Dark chocolate White or Red wine? Red
Sleeping in or Staying up late? Staying up late
Summer or Winter? Summer Facebook or Twitter? Twitter
Jordin thanks so much for sharing Amazingly Broken with us and for taking the time out to chat with us today – it’s been an absolute pleasure!

Release Day: A Night to Forget by Jessica Wood

What Emma didn’t expect was to meet Brandon Fisher. Tall and sexy, with dimples that would make any girl swoon, Brandon Fisher was literally the man of Emma’s dreams. She couldn’t quite believe that this stranger, who seduced her every night in her dreams actually existed.
After serendipitously bumping into each other, Emma could not resist Brandon’s pull and spent an unforgettable night with him.
Passing it off as a spring break fling, Emma never expected to see Brandon again. But when she started her first day at her new job a few months later, there he was.
The only problem was, Brandon didn’t even remember her.

While she has lived in countless cities throughout the U.S., her heart belongs to San Francisco. To her, there’s something seductively romantic about the Golden Gate Bridge, the steep rolling hills of the city streets, the cable cars, and the Victorian-style architecture.
She loves a strong, masculine man with a witty personality. While she is headstrong and extremely independent, she can’t resist a man who takes control of the relationship, both outside and inside of the bedroom.
She loves to travel internationally, and tries to plan a yearly trip abroad. She also loves to cook and bake, and—to the benefit of her friends—she loves to share. She also enjoys ceramics and being creative with her hands. She has a weakness for good (maybe bad) TV shows; she’s up-to-date on over 25 current shows, and no, that wasn’t a joke.
And it goes without saying, she loves books—they’re like old and dear friends who have always been there to make her laugh and make her cry.
The one thing she wished she had more of is time.

“Don’t even think about it Finn!” she said as she tried to stand her ground and not run.
“Too late, I’ve not only thought about it, I’ve committed to the idea.” Seth said wickedly as his face grew into a sinister smile.

Three of Spades

“Feel that, Natalie? That is what you do to me. That is the reaction your innocent ways and naïve little oral activities cause. So, you ask why I call us in a relationship, because what you feel against you right now, cannot be faked. I’m going to pop that cherry of yours and I’ll make sure you love every minute, before, during, and after. So, we are in a relationship from this moment on. Get used to it, Babe.” He leaned down and claimed those small lips that he had fixated on for the last forty-five minutes.

Blog Tour and Giveaway: Picturing Perfect by Melissa Brown

Title: Picturing PerfectAuthor: Melissa BrownGenre: Adult Contemporary RomanceExpected release date: 12 June 2013

Hadley Foster has always been a planner. But, since the age of nineteen, things haven’t exactly gone according to plan… not at all. And the changes continue to mount when a trip to Europe with her best friend starts a domino effect in all aspects of her life. Suddenly, the future she had envisioned for herself seems unlikely to happen. It’s time to make a new plan… or accept the dominoes as they fall.
Jason Kelly has a great life. He’s a successful self-published writer who’s living his dreams. But, something is missing. Hadley Foster. Letting her slip through his fingers is one of his biggest regrets. Over time, he had to accept the idea of being without his first love as he watched her fall in love with someone else.
When circumstances bring Jason and Hadley back into one another’s lives, they’re forced to deal with their past, their present and the possibility of a future together.

The next morning, sitting at the breakfast table with Auden, Jason strolled out of his room wearing his dimpled grin and the “Camp North Star” t-shirt that I had bought for him at Spencer Gifts. Underneath the symbol for Camp North Star, it simply read, “It Just Doesn’t Matter.”
At the time, Jason was obsessed with the Bill Murray movie called “Meatballs” and his very favorite scene was when Murray rallied the entire camp to chant “It Just Doesn’t Matter!” I saw that shirt hanging in the store and knew he needed to have it. But, seeing him wear it made my cheeks blush to a horrible shade of crimson.
“Nice shirt,” Auden said with a laugh, having no idea that I was the one who had purchased it. I had seen it while shopping with her at the mall, but made a special trip back to buy it alone. I didn’t want her to make fun of me. This gesture meant way too much to me.
“Isn’t it?” Jason said, smoothing the cotton of the navy blue t-shirt. “It’s my new favorite shirt.”
“Where’d you get it?” Auden persisted.
Jason grinned at me, his dimple showing as it always did, before he directed his attention back to his sister. “Someone pretty awesome gave it to me. And that’s all you need to know.”
“Mmm-hmmm,” their older sister Maya said as she took a sip of her coffee. A wave of embarrassment swept through me and I hung my head, looking down at my bowl of Cheerios. Auden turned to look at me. Her gaze burned my cheeks, but I continued to stare at the blue bowl in front of me.
“Okay, whatever,” she said, finally dropping it. I went back to eating my cereal as Jason took a seat at the table. Mrs. Kelly placed a cup of orange juice in front of him.
“C’mon, let’s go listen to CDs in my room,” Auden said, pulling me up from the table. I could feel Jason’s eyes on me as we walked out of the kitchen. I’ll never forget that smile.
Auden closed the door and glared at me.
“Did you give my brother that shirt?”
“What does it matter?” I asked, my pulse racing. I had no idea if Auden would be upset or feel threatened by my feelings for Jason. All I knew was that I wanted to keep them to myself.
“Just tell me. C’mon, vault.” That was our word. The word we always used when we were promising not to tell a secret. We’d put it in our “vault” and never breathe a word to another person.
“Vault?” I asked her with terrified eyes.
“Yes, vault. I promise,” she said before narrowing her eyes at me. “Are you in love with my brother?” She was always the dramatic one.
“Ummm,” I started.
“I knew it!” she yelled, pointing her finger at me. “Why didn’t you tell me? You’re my best friend! I need to know these things. All this time, I’ve been thinking you had a crush on Daniel McMillon!”
“From ceramics class?” I winced. “Um, no, that’s gross.”
She rolled her eyes as she sat down on her bed. “Well, you’re always super nice to him.”
“That’s because he doesn’t have any friends.”
“Yeah, because his breath smells.”
“Auden!” I yelled, my eyes wide.
“What? It does!” She shrugged. “Anyway, I totally thought you liked him because you always sit with him in class.”
“I do not like Daniel.” I shook my head with certainty.
“Well, that’s a relief…although I have to say, liking my brother is kinda up there as far as the ick factor goes. I mean, c’mon, it’s Jason. I mean, ew.”
“He’s not ‘ew’ to me.”
“How long has this been going on?”
“Umm, I kinda lost track.”
“Seriously?” A look of absolute betrayal crossed her melodramatic face.
“It’s been a while, all right? Remember, vault.”
“Vault, I know. Okay, so you got him the shirt. What else have you done for him?”
“Nothing.”
“Well, he seemed to like it.”
“I know, right?” I said, finally smiling as I remembered the sweet expression of gratitude on Jason’s handsome fifteen-year-old face.
I looked to my best friend for approval, “Are you sure it’s okay?”
“You liking my brother?” she asked, wrinkling her nose.
“Yes.” I nodded.
“Yeah, I guess.” She shrugged again. “I mean, ick. But, fine.”
“Vault?”

I couldn't put this book down, I loved it that much.
Hadley is in a relationship with a guy who shall remain nameless that I couldn't stand from the moment he opened his mouth. He's self serving and an all around douchebag. Yeah, I said it. He may be successful but his personality is lacking big time. I adored Hadley and what she stood for. She's a character that had depth, morals and values. She's someone that I could relate to at different times throughout the book.
Have you ever read a book that described a man that possessed every single quality you could ever possibly want? Well let me tell you, Jason Kelley is that guy. He's sweet, patient, kind, dorky hot (which is the way I like them, I kid not) selfless, compassionate and is seriously one of my favorite leading men. This is the kind of guy I go for.
Melissa Brown takes us on an emotional journey with Hadley. We go through each month of her trimester with her. The ups and downs as well as the everyday things in life we sometimes are forced to face.
All of these characters were true to life, had depth and each had their own cross to bear. I found myself laughing, crying and feeling each and every person's 'self discovery'.
Fantastic book Melissa Brown. You seriously made this girl's night. Yes, I read it in one sitting. I relate to books that are more real and true to life. I always find a way to take something away from it, something to think about and ponder. Can't wait for the next one!!

Affected by her parents’ highly publicized divorce, Isabel grows up isolated and alone, with a resolve to never fall in love and repeat their mistakes.
When Jesse Cain enters her life, she falls hopelessly in love with him, and every sadness she’s ever felt is washed away by his intensity and passion. But people change as they grow up. Things can never stay the same forever.
Jesse and Isabel fight to stay together, determined to hold on to what they once had. Isabel wonders if a second love can ever be enough to make her forget her first.
Once during our freshman year, Jesse called and asked me to meet him on the baseball field late one evening after school. I automatically assumed that he wanted me to watch him practice, something I would often do when I didn't have much homework to finish. As I walked across the newly shaved grass, I wondered where he could be. It worried me a bit to see no one there. The grounds were dark, except for a faded lamppost illuminating the walkways. The night was hot and humid, so I dressed in shorts for the occasion, fully expecting to be sitting on a bench watching Jesse play. He popped out of nowhere, just as I was about to walk up the steps toward the stands.
"Hi," I said, as I looked around the field. "Am I late? Did I get the practice time wrong?"
"Nope," he answered with a grin. "Practice ended an hour ago."
"Oh. Am I here to pick you up?" I asked, still confused.
"I thought we'd play on the field for a bit," he said as he took my hand and led me further in toward the bases. He had his pitching glove on and carried a bat in his right hand.
"Play what, Jess? You know I don't know anything about this game!" I laughed incredulously.
"Yes, you do! You've been watching me do this for almost three years! I thought it would be fun to watch you swing a bat," he coaxed. "Come on, you'll do great, I promise. Here, wear these so you don't hurt your hands." He fished into his pockets and handed me some batting gloves. I wiggled my fingers to make sure that they were still in there. They were twice the size of my hands. He looked delighted and enamored with me all at the same time. "You look so cute. Come here," he ordered as he pulled me in for a hug. Seconds later, he handed me the bat and then walked backwards until he was a few feet away from me.
"This is heavy!" I said, as I lifted the bat and mockingly took on the stance—both knees bent, two hands on the bat.
"Issy baby, you're gonna fall over if you lean like that." He laughed. "This isn't tennis. Keep one foot in front of you, turn your body to face me. Now just relax and swing when I pitch, ok?"
"Like this?" I breathed, as I stuck my leg out and swiveled my hips.
"If you keep that up, we'll be swinging something else," he teased.
Five empty swings later, I finally hit the ball. It didn't go very far, but I whooped and he whooped and I ran twice around the bases. It didn't take much effort for him to pursue me as soon as he caught the ball. I hit the ball two more times until he chased me down and lifted me off the ground.
"Jess!" I panted, as he swooped me in his arms. "That was hard work! What do I get for doing this?" I flirted.
"Me," he responded, as I wrapped my arms and legs around him.
"I'll take that," I whispered, and with a tender kiss, I gave him permission to carry me back to the dugout.
I love to read, write about reading, shop, write about shopping, three day weekends, high heels and purses. I’m a wife, a mother, a corporate executive, a loyal friend and a passionate believer in true love. This is all you need to know about me. If you get my stories, you get my heart.

Blog Tour Review & Giveaway: The Englishman by Nina Lewis

Welcome to our blog stop on the blog tour for The Englishman by Nina Lewis.

Author:Nina LewisGenre:Contemporary Romance /FictionPublication Date: May 12 ,2013Publisher:Onmific Publishing ISBN: 162342012Event organized by:Literati Literature Lovers

Anna has landed her dream job as an Assistant Professor of English literature at a prestigious college in the South. Instead of charging ahead with her career, however, she is confronted by hurdles, pitfalls and mysteries. Why does no one restrain the demented hoarder who secretly uses her office as his private storeroom? Who is responsible for her sudden loss in salary? What is behind the vandalism in her department? Is it a personal attack against her irreverent and somewhat unconventional teaching style?
Professor Giles Cleveland is supposed to mentor her in all this, but he’s arrogant, sardonic, condescending, disconcertingly attractive and – Anna keeps reminding herself as the temptation to start a kamikaze affair with him becomes overwhelming – absolutely out of bounds. Anna and Giles grow increasingly reckless and it is only a matter of time before they will be caught and Anna’s career will crash and burn. But when the crash comes, it’s worse than Anna imagined. And far better than she could have dreamed.

The Englishman tells the story of Dr Anna Lieberman, Assistant Professor of English literature at Ardrossan University, a prestigious college in America's South. Anna is young, intelligent and extremely passionate about her profession. She takes up her position at Ardrossan having spent time teaching in England and is set on progressing her career and ultimately gaining tenure at "the Folly" (the nickname given to Ardrossan). Being the new kid on the block is never easy, and within the academic world I suspect it is even more challenging than usual. The ever present need to 'publish', the challenge of teaching adult students, the competition amongst peers - all add to create a less than ideal work environment. Throw into this mix a beligerant old professor who uses your office for his personal storage, university scandal, politics within your department and a number of other frustrating events and 'settling' into a new job becomes much harder than you would have hoped.
Of course, then there is Professor Giles Cleveland, Anna's mentor - the English professor in both senses of the term (he's English and he teaches English!). Anna is attracted to him from the get-go. He is older, quite aloof and 'typically english' in his style. I'll admit, I didn't really buy the connection between Anna and Giles - for her it seemed almost instantaneous, although in fairness it was initially lust. I found their interactions to be almost combative (even though there was a flirty undertone) and so kept wondering whether they were ever really going to get together.
"When we're alone...I'll call you anything I like, and you'll stick it." He pauses for effect, and into the silence crowds a cornucopia of terms and phrases. "Not because I'm a male and more powerful than you -- I'm not by the way, more powerful than you -- but because I'm not calling you anything that I don't believe to be true. In company, rest assured it'll be 'Dr Liebermann, my esteemed colleague.'"
Without being cliched, the Englishman wasn't my cup of tea. I struggled to stay connected with the story. There was an awful lot going on and I was never really sure when a new 'issue' was introduced whether it was going to be instrumental to the outcome for the story or just a sideline. The Englishman is beautifully written, very academic in its style and referencing to literature, which is completely appropriate given the subject matter, but I struggled to read it and often had to re-read sections to really get the gist of what was going on. My preference is not to have to work quite that hard when I'm reading for entertainment.
There is much to enjoy in the story, some excellent supporting characters and Lewis has the ability to make scenery and places come alive off the page. For me, there was too much complexity and this impacted my reading. I think personal preferences will play a huge part in whether you enjoy The Englishman.
3 out of 5 stars

Nina Lewis wrote her first story when she was nine years old, a drama of love and jealousy set in a circus. Her best friend and she performed it to themselves over and over again, for ever changing the dialogue, conflicts and endings. It strikes her as ironically appropriate that her first published novel is set on a college campus – the habitat of many a strange, loveable or fierce creature. When she isn’t busy training animals to jump through the hoops of college education, Nina is knee-deep in her second novel, which is set in England during the French Revolution – historical romance being her favourite genre of fiction.

I feel like being able to lose yourself in a book in one of the more exciting aspects. The books I love to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. I live in Philadelphia Pennsylvania with my husband, two kids, and two dogs. On top of starting a writing career I am a full time student, and a full time mom. I love spending time with my kids, although I have to hide the computer from them when I am writing! I love being active and being able to do any activity outdoors. Random Spotlight: Colour Wielders by Dawna Raver
Colour Wielders is Dawna Raver's debut novel. It is book one in the Heirs of the Magykal Realm.

Quinn Sinclair lives an ordinary life with her less-than-loving mother in Conifer, Colorado, clueless of her true nature. On the night of her birthday, a staggering betrayal sends her life spinning out-of-control. As she struggles to pick up the pieces, a vision of a man with haunting tourmaline-blue eyes begs her for help, and she is transported into a Magykal battle—forever changing her life.
Arik Morgaine—Demigod bad boy and outcast of the Magykal Realm—tried to avoid contact with Princess Quinn for eighteen years, not wanting to make good on an old threat. But the fates have other plans.
Arik can no longer deny his growing desire for Quinn, or the need to protect her from those wanting to control her burgeoning powers.
Can the two of them come together and save the Magykal Realm from being destroyed by the Darkest of Magyks?

Quinn is my favorite character, next to Arik - amazing both of them. Quinn gets screwed over in the beginning and things in her life aren't what they seem, but then as her life unfolds she learns about her background and about the people around her. Arik’s future is with the princess but will he ever believe he is meant to be good? He doesn't fully understand his background or what he is meant to be.
I don't want to ruin the story by telling you too much but this book is full of the Magykal realm with many amazing creatures and much mystery.
